Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 598: Shang Xinyuʼs Question

As soon as Zhang Fei brought her into the Yin-Yang Space, Xian Xianqin looked over the surrounding area. She was amazed to see the tube filled with Yin Qi, especially since there was no such thing in the Nine Stars Realm. However, Xing Meiʼs cries and the ten rooms confused her, so she turned to him questioningly.

”As I told you before, I have several female prisoners, and she is one of them.” Zhang Fei then took Xian Xianqin to see the rooms one by one, and he explained to her the identities of the six women: Wang Xiaoyi, Chu Youqian, Shen Shixi, Shen Xiwu, Mo Xuanxing, and Gu Jinling. ”The woman who is crying is Xing Mei. Her dead son is Ye Lianʼs ex-fiancé, and I imprisoned her because she betrayed us by leaking many things about us to powerful enemies. Those people possess immense strength, capable of effortlessly destroying our realm.

”Who are they?”

”Those people are not humans; they are mythical beasts, the heavenly fox.” Xian Xianqin gazed at Zhang Fei, stunned by the strength of every enemy he faced. ”In reality, I am a heavenly fox, just like them, but I am not a part of them. They know of my existence in the Sky Jade Realm because I sent a human heretic to their realm, and their ancestors sent some of them to capture me. Fortunately, I am a demon, and I have the ability to move between realms, so I hid in the Netherworld Realm for quite a long time.”

”Will they hunt you down again in the future?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei answered with certainty. ”Heavenly foxes are arrogant, and their two ancestors know my other two identities, so they will hunt me down again sooner or later. They are indeed strong, but I am not worried about them, and I only need to hide again if they find me. Once I can match their strength, I will go to their realm to make calculations against them, and I will kill their two ancestors.”

”You always have to be careful, okay?”

”I donʼt want you and the others to be sad, so I will always be careful in my actions.” Zhang Fei then led Xian Xianqin to Zhou Meilingʼs room. ”Her cultivation is indeed high, but her Yin Qi is too weak even compared to my six prisoners, so I donʼt need her. Instead, I will hand her over to you, but I must first do something to ensure that she cannot harm you.”

”What are you going to do with her?”

”Release your soul first.” Xian Xianqin followed Zhang Feiʼs wishes by releasing her soul from her body, but she was confused when he pulled Zhou Meilingʼs sleeping soul out. ”I will merge the souls of both of you, binding her life to yours for the rest of her life.”

Before Xian Xianqin could refuse, Zhang Fei had already used his soul manipulation ability to duplicate Zhou Meilingʼs soul, and he immediately fused it with her soul.

After Zhang Feiʼs action, Xian Xianqin experienced a strange sensation, as she was able to understand all of Zhou Meilingʼs thoughts, including her feelings.

”Have you noticed?” Xian Xianqin nodded to Zhang Fei. ”You can put your soul back into your body, and I will wake Zhou Meiling up.”

Xian Xianqin followed Zhang Feiʼs orders and watched him wake up the Zhou Princess, who was still sleeping. After he had enough, he immediately returned Zhou Meilingʼs soul to her body.

A few minutes later, Zhou Meiling opened her eyes, but her mind was in a state of confusion due to Nalan Yushuʼs prolonged control over her body. The interior of the room further confused her, especially since it was completely different from the interior of the maze or her kingdom.

”Hey!” Startled, Zhou Meiling immediately turned to the side, but her expression transformed into shock upon seeing Zhang Fei and Xian Xianqin. She intended to attack them, but she couldnʼt use her cultivation. ”Are you aware of your current situation? You are my prisoner now, so I have sealed your cultivation.”

”You bastard!” Zhou Meiling yelled as she leaped off the bed, but Zhang Fei and Xian Xianqin swiftly sidestepped her. Since her head was still a mess, she lost her balance and fell forward, causing her face to hit the floor. ”Ouch!”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei laughed, lifted Zhou Meiling with his aura, and then immediately strangled her neck. ”Do you think I didnʼt know that you and your siblings were trying to capture us? Since you are our adversaries, I donʼt need to be lenient toward you, correct?”

”Bastard!” Zhou Meiling yelled as she repeatedly struck Zhang Feiʼs hand, but her actions inflicted pain on her due to the strength of his body, particularly after his lightning body technique had been broken through. ”You can capture me now, but my parents and big brother will realize that I disappeared because of you, and they will attack the Xian Kingdom!”

”Hehe.” Zhang Fei chuckled in response, released Zhou Meiling directly, and spoke to Xian Xianqin. ”You can try it.”

”All right.” With a faint smile, Xian Xianqi then looked at Zhou Meiling and gave her several instructions.

Zhou Meiling was filled with panic and shock, unable to resist Xian Xianqinʼs orders, and she willingly obeyed her, even if it meant kneeling in front of Zhang Fei. ”What are you going to do to me?”

”I have fused your soul with Qinʼerʼs soul so that you will obey all her orders without exception, including if she wants you to commit suicide.” Zhang Feiʼs answer shocked Zhou Meiling even more. ”Besides, your life is also tied to hers now, and you will die if she dies, so you better think about your actions carefully.”

Zhou Meilingʼs face turned pale after hearing that, especially since she was no different from Xian Xianqinʼs slave. The difference was that she still had her consciousness and desires, but she still couldnʼt do anything to refute her order.

”Can she inform her family about this matter, Fei?” Xian Xianqin inquired.

”No.” Zhang Fei shook his head in response. ”If you order her to shut her mouth, she will never tell anyone anything. I have also implanted something into her soul, which will prevent her from disclosing information about me to anyone.”

Xian Xianqin nodded in understanding at that. ”I want to see Qian Ying now.”

”Letʼs go.” Zhang Fei led Xian Xianqin out, leaving behind Zhou Meiling, who looked desperate about her situation.

After all, Zhou Meiling was a princess, but the two of them treated her like a prisoner and slave. She wanted to commit suicide, but her cultivation was sealed, and Zhang Fei had also taken her storage ring. Even if he hadnʼt taken it, she would still be unable to access it without her cultivation. ʼDamn it! Why is my fate so unlucky? If my father hadnʼt sent me to the tower, I would never have suffered such a miserable fate.ʼ

In Qian Yingʼs room, Xian Xianqin sat beside her best friend, who had been separated from her for so long. Her eyes started to well up with tears as she recollected the incident in which the demon abducted her best friend, a mistake she attributed to her overconfidence. Moreover, Zhang Fei had already informed her about her best friendʼs past circumstances, including the demonʼs implanted Shadow Oblivion Seal, which sealed her true memories.

Zhang Fei sighed softly and stroked Xian Xianqinʼs head. ”I know you feel guilty about Qian Ying, but sheʼs back now, so itʼs time for you to put aside your guilt. Even though sheʼs a demon now, I can say that itʼs not that bad, especially since I myself am a demon. Instead, her demon power can enable her to surpass the strength of a human cultivator, particularly when her demon rank reaches a high level.”

”What is her current demon rank, Fei?”

”Her demon rank is still at the viscountess rank now, so the road to increasing her demon power is still very long.” Zhang Fei then lifted Xian Xianqin to her feet. ”I know you still want to accompany her, but we still have tasks outside, so we have to go out now.”

”Yeah.” Xian Xianqin then ran to Zhou Meilingʼs room again and gave some orders to her first so that she wouldnʼt mess up inside the Yin-Yang Space.

Once they returned to their group, Yun Xinyue immediately questioned them. ”Where did you guys go just now? I couldnʼt find you two there before.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei immediately teased Yun Xinyue. ”Did you miss me that much, Princess Yun?”

”No! I didnʼt miss you, and I was just worried about you two.” Yun Xinyue immediately left them and sat down with the others, but her words and expressions were clearly contradictory.

ʼPrincess Yun is a liar!ʼ Yuan Luo and the others expressed this sentiment in their hearts, especially considering that Yun Xinyue had previously panicked when she couldnʼt find Zhang Fei and Xian Xianqin.

Xian Changyue shook her head at Yun Xinyueʼs behavior, but she remained silent and questioned Zhang Fei instead. ”Where are Zhou Tong, Ximen Hongwu, and Ximen Yueliang now? Are they still far from our location?”

”Zhou Tong is almost here, and we will meet him when the next test appears. We have to look at the situation first because we still donʼt know the third test, especially since this challenge is much more important, but we will fight him back if he attacks us first.” Xian Changyue and the others agreed with Zhang Fei. ”Ximen Hongwu and Ximen Yueliang are still quite far away, so we donʼt need to worry about them for now.”

As they waited for the next test in the survival challenge, they chose to relax while talking about other things, especially about the remaining three challenges.

After Chang Wuhen and Chang Wentian arrived at the northern region of the Sky Jade Realm, Zhang Fei [4] immediately sent them to the Nine Stars Realm. He didnʼt follow them there, and he stayed in that realm to train the three female demons. He also had to complete one of the two new daily quests, but it wasnʼt too difficult because Feltia [2] was also hunting demon beasts in the Netherworld Realm while training his subordinates from the Diyu Realm.

When the two arrived at the Nine Stars Realm, people from the Zhang Clan took care of Chang Wuhen and Chang Wentian, and Yang Yudie took the two to live in the same building with her family.

As for Zhang Fei [1] and Zhang Fei [5], they continued their training in alchemy and blacksmithing, one in the training space and the other in Zhang Chenʼs house.

The weather in the wasteland realm was extremely bad, with heavy rain pouring down all over the area and strong pressure from the sky.

The situation forced Shang Xiaoyin and two other women, who were waiting on a small island not far from the western island, to move to another place for shelter. They appeared frustrated, as they had been waiting there for five days, yet neither Zhang Xiaolong [3] nor the two women showed any signs of returning.

As for Shang Wuzi, he had long since returned to their clanʼs residence. His status was different from that of Shang Xiaoyin and the two women, and he could not be absent from his punishment duties.

”Xiaoyin, weʼve been here for five days, and weʼve already wasted a lot of our time, so we should go back now.” Shang Jiali sighed helplessly, frustrated by Shang Xiaoyinʼs stubbornness.

Despite Shang Yifenʼs irritation with Shang Xiaoyinʼs behavior, she chose to remain silent, as her family relied heavily on her mother. ʼSigh! Xiaoyin is too obsessed with Yaolin, and she never stops trying to bring her down.ʼ

”All right, letʼs go back.” Shang Yifen and Shang Jiali were surprised by that, but they immediately flew behind Shang Xiaoyin, who had already flown away first. ʼTch! I had no choice but to ask my mother to help me capture that fox kid.ʼ

In the central area, Shang Yaolin was sleeping, leaning against the cave wall, especially since it was raining heavily outside the cave. Furthermore, her boredom stemmed from the fact that Zhang Xiaolong [3] had been preoccupied with herb hunting for the past five days, preventing her from spending much time together.

”Longʼer.” Zhang Xiaolong [3], who was sorting herbs, turned to Shang Xinyu directly. ”I know you are still eager to look for herbs, but you have already bought and picked so many herbs, so I think they are enough for now, right? Moreover, Yaolin is already too bored to continue staying here, so I think we should go back to our residence first, and we will accompany you to this island again another time.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] took a quick look at Shang Yaolin before nodding in agreement with Shang Xinyu. He then hurriedly stored all the herbs in the system inventory. ”Youʼre right, Big Sis. I have collected various kinds of herbs in large quantities, and they are enough for several months.”

”What do you think of me, Longʼer? I know this will sound strange since you were still a child, and I am a grown woman.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] looked at Shang Xinyu directly. ”However, I have been contemplating it ever since I first saw you in your adult form, and we have been together for several months now. Iʼve frequently shared a room with Yaolin, and Iʼve witnessed you engaging in intimate activities with her on numerous occasions. I always felt jealous when you two were having fun together, and I yearned to be in her shoes. Unfortunately, you never showed any desire to approach me, which gave me the impression that you didnʼt find me attractive.”

”Youʼre wrong, Big Sis.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then grabbed Shang Xinyu by the shoulders and faced her toward him. ”You are beautiful, attractive, and kind. Actually, Iʼm interested in you, but Shang Xiaoyin keeps bossing you around, and you canʼt do anything against her because your family is under her mother. Moreover, she obviously hates me and wants to capture me, and she will give you trouble if she finds out you have a relationship with me. Thatʼs why I never tried to approach you because your safety is more important, and I donʼt want anything to happen to you because of me.”

Shang Xinyu was well aware of Shang Xiaoyinʼs character and had frequently heard her express a desire to capture Zhang Xiaolong [3], particularly during their private cultivation sessions. ”Youʼre right; if Xiaoyin discovers that Iʼm in a relationship with you, she will undoubtedly cause me trouble, and it will also cause problems for my family. In fact, she has repeatedly instructed me not to approach you, but I ignored her orders because I was constantly thinking about you.”

”Thatʼs why you donʼt have to feel this way anymore, Big Sis.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then rubbed Shang Xinyueʼs cheek. ”I like you, and I want you to be my woman. However, we are both still weak now, and others still control our lives. For the time being, we must focus on increasing our cultivation, and I will take you as my woman after I can defeat all of them, so no one will be able to hurt you or your family.”

Shang Xinyu smiled and pressed Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs hand to her cheek. ”Moreover, you are still a child, and I must wait for you to mature first, so I shouldnʼt be in a rush like Yaolin.”

”Yes.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then lifted Shang Xinyu to her feet, approached Shang Yaolin, and carried her. ”Big Sis Xinyu, hold my hand, and I will take us back to our residence now.”

After Shang Xinyu held his hand, Zhang Xiaolong [3] led the two women away from the cave using his nine cloud steps. However, he did not use his maximum speed, and they only arrived at the Shang Clan residence sometime later.

Upon their arrival, Shang Xinyu immediately returned to her private room, and Zhang Xiaolong [3] carried Shang Yaolin back to their room. After he placed her to bed, he immediately began cultivating to complete the daily quest.
