Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 560: People Plans

In one corner, people from the beast and natural racesʼ kingdom seemed to be discussing something, but no one could eavesdrop on their conversation because a soundproof barrier enveloped them.

”Do you really think that Zhang Fei needs our protection?”

Long Chenʼs question made the others raise their eyebrows, but Xian Jinglan then asked. ”What do you mean by that, First Prince Long?”

Xi Xianzi immediately joined in. ”Zhang Fei may be strong, and he can also defeat Zhou Fang. However, his enemies are not just one person; all of them are targeting him, including the demons.”

”I think they are right, Big Brother.” Long Tian spoke as he nodded. ”Some people from the two kingdoms are indeed strong, but they are not stronger than us. Xian Kingdom people are divided into three groups, so they cannot protect him if they band together to attack him. Moreover, we have agreed to spar with him, so I think it would be better if our group stays close to their group, and we can protect him if the situation in the survival or maze challenges gets worse.”

Long Chen first observed the people from the Xian and Yun Kingdoms, and then he looked at the people from the other kingdoms, especially the demons from the two demon kingdoms. ”All right, we will stay around their group, but we shouldnʼt stay too close to them, and we will only act if Zhang Fei is in danger.”

Zheng Ru and the others immediately agreed with that, and they then discussed their plans to face both challenges, especially since one of them could be their next challenge.

Within the Zhou Kingdomʼs entourage, the three Zhou siblings also rethought their plans, especially after Zhang Fei defeated Zhou Fang.

Zhou Tai then spoke to his big brother. ”Fangʼer has failed, and I wonʼt be able to fight Bai Renfu and Bai Shouyi alone, but I might be able to do it if Meiling helps me.”

”Youʼre right.” Zhou Tong then turned to their sister. ”Meiling, once we enter one of those challenges, you must go with Taiʼer to look for Bai Renfu and Bai Shouyi. The two of you must immediately return to my side once you have successfully captured them.”

Zhou Meiling immediately agreed before asking. ”What about Zhang Fei? He has already defeated Brother Fang, so we canʼt let him off, and he must pay for his actions.”

”We have to focus on the three Bai siblings first, and we will immediately go look for Zhang Fei after we take care of them.” Zhou Tong then pondered for a while before telling them something else. ”However, young master Hongwu wants to give that brat to his little sister, so we canʼt kill him, and we have to capture him alive.”

Zhou Meiling and Zhou Tai looked surprised to hear that, but their father had already told them to fully support the plan of the demons from the Ximen Kingdom. ”Then what about young master Yan? Does he also want Zhang Fei?”

”No.” Zhou Tong replied with a shake of his head. ”Young master Yan doesnʼt care about Zhang Fei, and he only wants young Miss Yueliang and Xian Xianqin. However, he didnʼt ask for my help, and he has already ordered Qian Ying to capture them.”

”It would be a shame if Zhang Fei had to die, especially since he was handsome and his talent was also high.” Zhou Tong and Zhou Tai immediately turned to Zhou Meiling. ”Why are you two looking at me like that? I had no interest in him, and I only wanted him as my servant. Unfortunately, young master Hongwu wanted him, so I was forced to forget my wish, and I will shift my target to Xian Xianwu instead.”

Zhou Tong responded by nodding. ”I heard that Huangfu Lian and the others are only targeting Yun Qinghai and Yun Xinyue, so it doesnʼt matter if you want Xian Xianwu. As for Huangfu Xiaomei and Huangfu Xiaoying, they seem to have already set their target on Zhang Fei, so we have to get ahead of them to capture him. Once we complete our task, I will assist you in capturing the Xian prince. However, we must exercise caution as Xian Changyue, who is stronger than me, will likely protect him.”

Zhou Meiling smiled as she observed Xian Xianwu engaged in a discussion with his group members. ”The Xian Kingdom will face doom if he falls into my hands and Xian Xianqin ends up in the hands of young master Yan. Our father can move to subdue Xian Feng and Shi Qingzhuang, and their kingdom will become our subsidiary.”

”Thatʼs true.” Zhou Tong nodded in agreement with his little sister. ”However, we donʼt need to think about things that are still far away, and we should focus on the task at hand.”

”Big brother, Zhang Fei is stronger than we think, but I donʼt think he can defeat Zhou Fang just like that.” Huangfu Lian immediately turned to his third brother, Huangfu Xiaofan. ”I believe he used some underhanded means to defeat him, and Iʼm worried that something might happen to Xiaomei and Xiaoying if they fight him with just the two of them. We must send our other members to help them.”

Huangfu Lian then turned to her two sisters. ”What do you two think about that?”

”I think Brother Xiaofan is right, Big Brother.” Huangfu Xiaoying responded by nodding. ”Zhang Feiʼs cultivation is at 1-Moon Earth Realm, and he managed to light up ten crystals on the strength test, but it is still impossible for him to defeat Xiao Fang without using underhanded means.”

Huangfu Xiaomei then expressed her idea. ”Since Yun Qinghai has failed, our only target left is Yun Xinyue. We will find a way to capture her first, and we will lead some of our members to capture Zhang Fei after that. Additionally, we will ask Bai Chongxi and his two siblings to help us, and I am confident that we will succeed in capturing him.”

”All right, you two can do that.” Huangfu Lian then looked at Xian Xianqin, who had just returned with Zhang Fei and the other two. ”Xiaofan, we must move quickly to capture Xianqin and her brother, but we must distract Xian Changyue from them, or else we will be the ones to die by her hands. After that, we will help our sisters to capture that brat, or else the others will get ahead of us to capture him.”

”Okay.”

Unlike them, the three people from the Bai Kingdom looked gloomy because they were people of high status, but the people from the Huangfu Kingdom treated them like slaves. Unfortunately, they were unable to resist their orders and were forced to comply with them.

Bai Chongxi immediately spoke to his two siblings. ”Renfu and Shaoyi, we will immediately gather with Huangfu Xiaoying and Huangfu Xiaomei once we enter one of the survival or maze challenges, and we will help them capture Zhang Fei, but we must be very careful because Xian Changyue is by his side. Furthermore, the people from the kingdoms of the beast and natural races are likely to defend him, making this task extremely challenging. Although we cannot defy their orders, I urge you to prioritize your own safety and surrender immediately if the situation poses a significant threat to us.”

”Is it okay if we run away, Big Brother?” Bai Renfu asked with a frown.

Bai Shouyi also seemed hesitant about it. ”If we run away, Emperor Huangfu will force our parents to hand us over to him, and our fate will be much worse.”

Bai Chongxi himself was fully aware of that, but he really didnʼt want them to die to help the Huangfu Kingdom. Unfortunately, he had no solution for that, especially since the people of the kingdom were always monitoring their movements. ”I think I have an idea, but I donʼt know if it will work. However, I will not tell you two about my idea, and I will try to do it myself so you guys donʼt have to bear the consequences if they find out about it.”

”Big Brother.”

”No.” Bai Chongxi shook his head at them. ”For me, the safety of both of you is the most important, so I wonʼt involve you in my plans. I hope my plan will succeed so we can be free from their control.”

Meanwhile, Xian Yu and Xian Mu continued to gaze at Zhang Fei, pondering his origin and his connection to their cousins. ”What do you think if we try to approach him, Big Brother?”

”Do you have any ideas about that?” Xian Yu asked without taking his eyes off Zhang Fei.

Instead, Xian Mu sighed and shook his head. ”We donʼt have any information about him, and he doesnʼt seem interested in getting to know us, so itʼs hard for us to approach him. What do you think if we contact our father? Weʼll have a hard time approaching him, but our father might be able to do something about it, and he might be able to bring him over to our side.”

”Youʼre right.” Xian Yu nodded in agreement. ”Iʼll contact our father now to tell him about Zhang Fei, and Iʼll ask our mother to investigate his identity in the capital so we can come up with a plan to approach him.”

”Husband, are we going to help our prince and princess?” Xian Qifeng immediately turned to his wife, Luo Qinglin. ”Those people seem to be targeting their group, and our kingdom will be in danger if they fall into their hands, especially the demons.”

Xian Qifeng immediately looked toward the group from the other kingdoms. ”You are right; they are indeed targeting Xianqin and Xianwu. When we enter one of the two challenges, we will immediately lead the others to find their group. However, Aunt Changyue is currently with them, so we donʼt need to join them; instead, we will protect them from behind.”

”I think thatʼs better.” Luo Qinglin briefly glanced toward Xian Yu and Xian Mu. ”Your two cousins seem to be thinking about pulling Zhang Fei to their side, but Iʼm sure their efforts wonʼt bear fruit because heʼs close to Princess Xianqin, and I can see that sheʼs already fallen in love with him even though itʼs not that deep yet.”

Xian Qifeng smiled upon hearing that. ”Ever since Aoxian rejected her, Xianqin has always kept her distance from men, and this is the first time Iʼve seen her get close to a man in the past few decades. I donʼt know anything about Zhang Feiʼs background, but he seems to really care about her, and I think heʼs the one who helped her to overcome her demon heart challenge.”

”Xianqin failed to pass the demon heart challenge in several participations, but she immediately managed to get through it after meeting him, so I think your guess is correct.” Luo Qinglin immediately let out a sigh as she observed the group from the Yun Kingdom. ”Unfortunately, Aoxian didnʼt participate in the challenge this time, and Qinghai has already failed, so Xinyue is the only one left. If she also fails, the Yun Kingdom will fall further behind the others, and it will become increasingly difficult for them to defend their kingdom from the Zhou and Huangfu Kingdoms.”

Xian Qingfei nodded in agreement with his wife. ”The Huangfu and Zhou Kingdoms have always targeted the Yun Kingdom, and our Xian Kingdom will be in a dangerous situation if either of them succeeds in annexing their kingdom. However, Uncle Yun and Aunt Guo are stronger than they appear from the outside, and Iʼm confident they wonʼt give up easily. However, the situation will change if the demons interfere in their war. Thatʼs why we have to focus on developing ourselves so we can help Uncle Feng and Aunt Shi face the worst.”

”Yeah, youʼre right.” Luo Qinglin then laid her head on her husbandʼs shoulder. ”The first thing we have to do is pass this first floor, but Iʼm still afraid of failing the enlightenment test like before.”

”Haha.” Xian Qingfei laughed and embraced her. ”You have prepared yourself for several years. I am sure you will successfully pass the test this time, and we will challenge the second floor together.”

”I hope so.”

At night, Zhang Xiaolong [3] finally stopped dual cultivating with Murong Qianying because she was too exhausted, especially after he made her orgasm countless times. Unfortunately, the difference in their cultivation was too stark, so he didnʼt get her yin qi. Even so, he was satisfied with it, and he was confident that she would not be able to escape from him again.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] then removed all the sex tools and cleaned her body, especially since he had to take her back to the Shang Clan residence, or else Shang Yaolin would be suspicious of them. After she was fully dressed, he gave her a recovery pill to restore her condition. However, he used the dream imprisonment ability to confine her subconscious, with the intention of completely subduing her. ”Fortunately, her cultivation is still sealed, or else I canʼt do it to her.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] then took Murong Qianying out of the house, used his invisibility, and teleported to the Shang Clan residence. He immediately put her to bed, but Shang Yaolin suddenly entered their room. ”Eh? Itʼs unusual for my mother to sleep so soundly. Did she do something earlier?”

”I donʼt know. Aunt Qianying was already asleep when I finished my cultivation. Zhang Xiaolong [3] then pulled her to join them on the bed. ”Tomorrow you should have a day off, right? What if we go to another island?”

”Another island?” Shang Yaolin immediately raised his eyebrows. ”Which island do you want to go to, Longʼer?”

”Hehe.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] chuckled before telling her. ”Big Sis, I heard that there are many precious herbs on the western island, and the demihuman races inhabit that island. If I use my half-fox form, I wonʼt be any different from them, so Iʼm sure they wonʼt be hostile to me. To avoid suspicion, you can use the transformation technique to disguise yourself as one of their races, and Iʼll help you hide your human scent.”

”Do you want to find herbs to improve your cultivation?”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded to her. ”I canʼt wait to break through to the 2-Star Earth Realm soon, so I want to find suitable herbs to help me, and that island is the best choice.”

”I see.” Shang Yaolin nodded in understanding. ”All right, I will accompany you to the western island, but you have to help me disguise my scent, or they will attack me. However, we canʼt go there in a day, so I will ask Big Sis Yingyue to give me a longer holiday.”

Shang Yaolin immediately contacted her senior sister to ask for her permission, and Shang Yingyue agreed to her wishes, but she asked them to bring another person. Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately contacted Shang Xinyu, who agreed without a second thought since she had not seen him for quite some time due to her long seclusion. Moreover, she could not share a room with them, especially since Murong Qianying had not yet left the Wasteland Realm.

Shang Yaolin then curled up in his embrace. ”Anyway, I saw Huang Qinghua and Hao Jianxiu in front of our residence, and I originally thought that they came here to meet you.”

If Shang Yaolin had not mentioned the two lilies, Zhang Xiaolong [3] would have long forgotten about them, especially since he spent more time with her and Shang Xinyu. ”I only met them once back then, and I have never met them again since. Moreover, I have been busy with my cultivation since I woke up, so I didnʼt know they came here.”

Shang Yaolin gazed up at him with a serious expression. ”You can meet Xinyu or other women, but I donʼt want you to meet them or Shang Xiaoyin. Do you understand?”

”Sure, I wonʼt meet them.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] kissed her lips before hugging her back. ”You seem exhausted from your duties, so we should sleep now.”

”Yeah.”
