Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 561: Enter The Maze

”Hey, wake up, my sexy succubus.”

Orith, who was still sleeping, immediately opened her eyes. ”Iʼm still tired, Elion. After you evolved into a lust demon lord, your strength in bed has surpassed mine.”

”Hehe.” Zhang Fei [4] chuckled and took out a recovery pill before putting it in Orithʼs mouth. ”Swallow it; youʼll get fresher faster.”

Orith immediately swallowed the pill, but she also felt suspicious about it. ”Where did you get it? As far as I know, there is no such pill in this realm.”

”Weʼve been together for quite some time now, so I think itʼs time to tell you the truth.” Orith raised her eyebrows, but Zhang Fei [4] immediately carried her off the bed. ”Actually, Iʼm not a demon from this realm, and I came here specifically to increase my demon power.”

”Eh?” Orith was stunned for a while. ”Are you serious about that? Did you really come from another demon realm?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei [4] nodded to Orith. ”Actually, I came from a demon realm in the lower realms, and Old Arbeola knew about it a long time ago. Unfortunately, the demon aura there was too weak, so I decided to come here, where the demon aura is several times stronger.”

”Why didnʼt Lord Arbeola tell me about that?” Orith asked with a puzzled look.

Zhang Fei [4] rubbed Orithʼs cheeks. ”I asked Old Arbeola to keep it a secret from the other demons, especially since I was still too weak at that time. However, I have evolved and reached the duke rank now, and you have helped me so much, so I decided to tell you the truth.”

”I see.” Orith nodded in understanding. ”Can you take me to that realm? Even though it is a demon realm from the lower realms, I have never been to other realms, so I want to go there to have a look.”

”Iʼm telling you this because I really want to take you there.” Orithʼs expression turned joyful after hearing that, and Zhang Fei [4] immediately contacted Balena to meet them. ”Anyway, Zilvora will be arriving soon, so weʼll go there after she arrives.”

Not long after, Balena arrived at the room, but he sighed heavily because Zhang Fei [4] and Orith were still naked. Even so, he was no longer embarrassed by such a situation, especially since he had repeatedly seen them like that. ”Why did you ask me to come here?”

”Are you bored with this realm?” Balena nodded to Zhang Fei [4]. ”I want to take you to see other realms so you can refresh your mind. However, we wonʼt stay there for too long, and we will come back here after my subordinates have finished packing.”

Hearing that, Orith immediately asked. ”Do you have many subordinates there? Do you intend to bring them here?”

Zhang Fei [4] nodded in response. ”Their numbers are greater than yours, but I will not bring all of them here; I will only bring a few, perhaps around a hundred people.”

”In that case, you should place them in the incubi tower, or the presence of my subordinates will oppress them.” Orith immediately turned to Zilvora, who had just arrived, and teased her. ”Donʼt you feel lonely after being away for so long, Queen Zilvora? Moreover, Elion was stronger after he evolved, but you were absent for so long, so you havenʼt experienced his new strength.”

Orithʼs words were right on target, and Zilvora was indeed lonely without Zhang Fei [4], but she was unwilling to admit it. ”Do you think Iʼm as lustful as you? My subordinates are too many, not to mention the other demon races under my supervision, so I havenʼt been able to come here for quite a while.”

”Hehe.” Orith giggled at her response.

As he and Oirth got dressed, Zhang Fei [4] explained the truth to Zilvora, causing the spider queen to frown. He hurriedly asked Mei to open the gate to the Diyu Realm, shocking the three female demons as it appeared out of nowhere. Before they could question him, he had already pushed them through the gate.

”Hmm? The demon aura here is too thin and weak.” As soon as they arrived at the Diyu Realm, Zilvora immediately expressed her opinion. ”How can the demons in this realm increase their strength with such a weak demon aura?”

”Thatʼs why I went to your realm, or I would have had to wait thousands of years to reach the duke rank.” The three female demons nodded in agreement with Zhang Fei [4]. ”Actually, there are several demons with emperor or empress rank in this realm, but they are still less powerful compared to you due to the difference in the quality of demon aura in both realms.”

*Swoosh... Swoosh...*

Several demons immediately appeared in front of them, but Zilvora and Orith trembled as soon as they recognized one of them. ”Demon... demon emperor! Why... why are you in this realm?”

”This realm is my husbandʼs home realm, and he is the one who sent us here.” Zilvora and Orith immediately turned to Zhang Fei [4] because Morgana was pointing her finger at him. ”Actually, we didnʼt know each other before, and we met him in the Netherworld Realm. Since he knows the way back here, he sent us here to ensure those human cultivators cannot find my husband, or else they would continue to control him.”

”Does that mean he is free from their control?” Zilvora inquired.

”Not yet.” Morgana answered by shaking her head. ”You have witnessed their leaderʼs strength, and his slave mark is also strong, so we have not been able to remove it from his soul.”

”Are you two going to return to our realm again?” Orith asked.

Oz the First answered her immediately. ”Those human cultivators will return to your realm one day, especially considering their previous planʼs failure. They might bring another demon to control your realm, so I will never go back there. As for your true demon emperor, I only know he was sent to a realm behind the portal in the dead forest, but I donʼt know anything about that realm or his condition.”

”They already know about it because they have gone there before, and many of the king or queen demons died there.” Orith and Zilvora let out heavy sighs after Zhang Fei [4] said that. ”Anyway, I will be bringing some of my subordinates from the tower to that realm, so I hope one of you can protect my sub-realm while they are gone.”

”Since Oz the First and Morgana protect this realm, I will go there to lead them for the time being.” Oz the Second then shared another piece of information with Zhang Fei [4]. ”A few days ago, those three winged races came here, and they sent you information that their higher-ups were preparing to move. However, they had no intention of attacking this realm; instead, they wanted to attack the human realm.”

Zhang Fei [4] immediately raised his eyebrows, and his face darkened. ”I didnʼt expect them to decide to attack the human realm, but I have already prepared some things there. If they attack first, it will be too late, so I must find another course of action.”

Orith, Balena, and Zilvora exchanged confused glances, not understanding their conversation.

”Do you need our help?” Morgana asked.

Zhang Fei [4] thought for a moment before nodding to her. ”For now, I will think of another way to stop them without causing a commotion there, or they will suffer if we fight there, and I will inform you two soon.”

Morgana and Oz the First immediately agree with that. ”All right, we will wait to hear from you, and we will help you stop them.”

After that, Zhang Fei [4] led the three female demons from the Netherworld Realm to his tower, and he immediately selected a hundred of them to go to that realm. Since they had previously used demon items from that realm, they were eager to go there in order to gain strength more quickly.

As he waited for his subordinates to get ready, Zhang Fei [4] let the three female demons explore his sub-realm, and he went to Angelaʼs sub-realm to meet Nauvia, the siren.

Upon his arrival there, Zhang Fei [4] immediately summoned Angela out of the training space and explained his plan to bring Nauvia to the Netherworld Realm so she could appoint one of her subordinates to replace the siren.

After Angela left, Zhang Fei [4] immediately went to Nauvia and explained everything. ”Do you want to go there? I will send your mother and the others there so you wonʼt be lonely there, and your demon rank can increase faster.”

”All right, I will go with you to that realm.” Nauvia made her decision without hesitation, realizing that her demon rank had stagnated for too long and staying in the Diyu Realm would hinder her progress. ”Where will we live then? Is that place near the waters?”

Zhang Fei [4] shook his head at her. ”There is a river near my city, but the aquatic demons there are much stronger than in this realm, so you will be in danger if you go there. Thatʼs why you should stay in my tower, where no one will bother you, especially now that I am one of the cityʼs leaders.”

”I see.” Nauvia nodded in understanding. ”In that case, I will follow your plan.”

Once Angela had selected one of her subordinates, Zhang Fei [4] sent her back to the training space while he took Nauvia to his tower.

Zhang Fei [5] immediately went to the two female winged races on earth to confirm the news he had received from Oz the Second, and they directly acknowledged it. ”When will they attack here?”

”A month.”

”I see.” Zhang Fei [5] replied with a nod of understanding. ”In that case, you can tell Gabriel and his people to leave them, or else I will drag them into my battle with them.”

”Are you going to kill all of them?” Jiang Yinghua asked with a frown.

Zhang Fei [5] gave a slight smirk. ”Do you think I will spare my enemies? Iʼve killed too many people, so it doesnʼt matter if my hands are soaked in more blood. However, I will only kill those who descend to this realm, especially since I was still not ready to challenge the Throne directly.”

Jiang Yinghua and Meng Tianshi were stunned to hear that Zhang Fei [5] wanted to challenge the Throne, but a male winged race suddenly appeared in front of them. However, the two women were not surprised by his presence, especially since they already knew about his relationship with the rebel groups.

Zhang Fei [5] immediately asked Micah. ”What are the rebelsʼ plans? Are they going to make a move?”

”Yes.” Micah nodded to confirm that. ”My leader has tried to stop them, but the other leaders immediately prepared to move after the Throne announced his decision, and the situation in our realm will be chaotic soon.”

”I could not care less about the situation in your realm, and I would be happier if they killed each other in a civil war, so I donʼt need to step in to kill them.” Zhang Fei [5]ʼs answer made the three winged race frown. ”Anyway, I already have some plans against them, so you can tell Dou Haishang to prepare in two months, or the rebels will also die.”

After he said that, Zhang Fei [5] instantly disappeared from their sight, leaving them gloomy. Jiang Yinghua spoke directly to Micah. ”You should return and inform Dou Haishang about it. Otherwise, the number of our race members who die will be too many.”

”Yeah.” Micah also left the place afterward.

”Do you think Zhang Fei will really kill them?”

”Yes.” Jiang Yinghua nodded to Meng Tianshi. ”Anyway, you should return to our realm and tell Lord Gabriel about this matter.”

”All right.”

Zhang Fei immediately opened his eyes as soon as the two notifications appeared, and he rushed to wake up Xian Xianqin and the others, especially since the next challenge would appear soon.

As soon as Zhang Feiʼs group started moving, all the participants immediately got ready and stared at the ceiling of the room, waiting for the next challenge.

After some time, they were surprised by the appearance of several portals above them, and it had never happened in the past. Zhang Fei immediately realized that something was wrong because their appearance was different from Chao Yuanfengʼs explanations, so he right away held the hands of the two women beside him, Xian Xianqin and Yun Xinyue.

Before they could react, all the portals glowed and sucked them in. Unlike the previous two tests, the people felt dizzy and nauseous as soon as they arrived at the location of the next challenge.

*Bleugh*

Xian Xianqin and Yun Xinyue vomited as soon as they arrived there, so Zhang Fei immediately touched their backs and helped them relieve their nausea with his light element. ”Are you guys okay?”

”Weʼre fine.” Both women immediately wiped their mouths and answered Zhang Fei, but their expressions changed as soon as they saw the tree walls surrounding them. ”I didnʼt expect us to face the maze challenge so soon, and the rules seem to have changed.”

”Yes.” Xian Xianqin nodded in response. ”Normally, we would enter as a group and arrive at the same spot, but we have now separated from our group.”

”This is really troublesome.” Yun Xinyue said with a heavy sigh. ”We will face danger if we meet those evil people, especially those who have broken through to the seven divine realms.”

Zhang Fei immediately opened the map system, but his expression turned ugly because it could not detect the area inside the maze. Only their area was visible, while the other maps were obscured by darkness. ʼCan you detect those peopleʼs whereabouts, Mei?ʼ

[Unfortunately, there is a powerful barrier that suppresses the system sensor, so I canʼt do that, master. Iʼm sure this barrier also blocks your senses, so you should walk carefully because you wonʼt be able to sense what will appear on your way.]

”What happened? Why is your expression like this?” Xian Xianqin inquired after observing his facial expression.

”There is a powerful barrier that suppresses our senses, so we canʼt detect our surroundings.” Xian Xianqin and Yun Xinyue immediately spread their senses, and the results were exactly as Zhang Fei had described. ”We need to move with extreme caution, and you must take out your weapons now so we can be prepared for any unexpected possibilities.”

”All right.” Both women immediately took out their weapons, one sword, and one long spear.

Zhang Fei himself immediately took out the moonlit whisper sword that Tie Xuan had lent him, and he also did not forget to take out the hongxi dagger. Additionally, he prepared the moon demon wheel and the hell chains in case they faced a group attack.

Zhang Fei carefully led the two women to walk forward as he asked. ”How long does it usually take us to complete this challenge?”

”There is no time limit.” Zhang Fei was slightly surprised by Xian Xianqinʼs answer. ”The maze challenge is always difficult because each area frequently changes, and we will often encounter various obstacles, such as fighting beasts, puzzles, and so on. Not to mention, our enemies can appear in front of us at any time, so we must always be ready to fight, or we will die at their hands.”

Zhang Fei tried to use his warp portal, but it was unsuccessful. Additionally, he was unable to open the portal to either his training space or Yin-Yang space. He then tried to summon Boitata from his beast space as a last resort, but his attempts were also unsuccessful. ʼIf my guess is correct, the tower is under the control of the little girlʼs master, who has purposefully altered the rules to make our situation more challenging because of my presence.ʼ
