Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 592: Passed The Sin

In the beast kingdom, Long Huang and Long Baiyun were sitting opposite each other, and they were discussing their subordinatesʼ reports regarding Feng Yao.

”What do you think was her reason for coming to this realm, husband?”

Long Huang frowned as he thought of several reasons. ”I think she has two special reasons for coming here, but I canʼt say for sure. The first is that she came to this realm specifically to challenge the tower, and the second is that she came here because of Zhang Fei. I believe the first reason is the most plausible, as the tower never added additional participants once other challenges were started. However, our subordinates reported that the tower did allow her to enter and gave her two tests. Furthermore, she has recently completed the third test, placing her just one test behind the others.”

”I agree with you.” Long Baiyun replied with a nod. ”Why do you think that she came here because of Zhang Fei?”

Long Huang directly told his wife. ”Zhang Fei is a heavenly fox, but he has two other identities, which makes me think that there is something special behind his existence. Perhaps the phoenix race already knows about his existence, so they sent one of their members to look for him. Since the woman has already said that she doesnʼt want to be disturbed by anyone, we donʼt need to go see her, and we will know her real reason for coming here someday.”

”Youʼre right; we just have to wait for the truth to reveal itself.”

In the kingdom of the natural races, Xian Lianghua had a discussion with his wife about Feng Yaoʼs presence within their realm. Unlike Long Baiyun and Long Huang, they used a special method to monitor Zhang Fei, which his system could not detect. They already knew that he brought the phoenix princess to their realm, especially since her first arrival was in his residence.

”What are your plans next?”

”Since the woman doesnʼt want to be bothered by anyone, I donʼt plan anything.” However, Xue Jingling didnʼt seem to believe Xian Lianghuaʼs words, especially considering that they had been together for hundreds of years and she was completely familiar with his character. ”Actually, Iʼve asked our daughter to establish a good relationship with Zhang Fei, so it will be easier for us to approach and find more detailed information about him or the woman, and I believe that she will succeed in doing so.”

Xue Jingling released a soft sigh. ”What if our daughter is captivated by him? Will you allow them to be together if that happens?”

”Why not? Although Zhang Fei has both human and demon bloodlines, he is also a heavenly fox, so I think itʼs okay if thatʼs really the case.” Xue Jingling responded to Xian Lianghua with a frown. ”All right, you donʼt need to behave like this, especially since our daughter is more mature and smarter than you imagine, and her observation is excellent, so I believe she will not attract him.”

”I hope youʼre right, as I do not want our daughter to marry a demon.”

Meanwhile, Feng Yao returned to the first floor, and she became the first to complete the Sin Challenge. ”I guess that kid must have had a hard time facing his karmic test.”

Another woman suddenly came out beside Feng Yao, and she was Xiang Changyue. ”Oh? Did you come back here a long time ago, Senior?”

”The seven deadly sins arenʼt a problem for me, and my karmic test isnʼt troublesome either.” Feng Yao turned to Xian Changyue. ”It seems you donʼt have much bad karma, or else you wouldnʼt have come back here by now.”

”My karmic test this time was a little tougher than last time because a lot of things have changed since then, and Iʼve done quite a lot of bad things in the last few years, but I was able to complete it without any major difficulties.” Xian Changyue then glanced at Xian Jinglan, Xi Xianzi, and the members of the natural races who had just appeared. ”At first, I thought Zhang Fei would be the first to complete the challenge, but it seems I was wrong.”

Xi Xianzi, Xian Jinglan, and the other natural races immediately paid attention to Feng Yao because they did not have much information about Zhang Fei. Moreover, she seemed to have a good relationship with him, so they wanted to hear her answer about him.

”You are unfamiliar with Zhang Feiʼs character. He might be able to complete the other challenges more easily, but the karmic test will be very troublesome for him.” Xian Changyue looked at Feng Yao again. ”He is much younger than the two of us, but the living beings who died at his hands, be they humans, demons, or beasts, are far more numerous. Additionally, he is too cunning, and he has too many terrible methods up his sleeve, so his karmic test is definitely much tougher than all the participants.”

After spending several days in the maze with Zhang Fei and learning about his abilities, including the ability to enslave others, Xian Changyue is no longer surprised by this. ”Do you think heʼll make it through?”

”Yes.” Feng Yao gave her a nod. ”Even though his karmic test is very tough, I believe he will be able to pass it, and he just needs a lot of time to complete it.”

Not long after, all the participants started to return to the first floor one by one, especially those who had successfully passed it in the past. However, the tower immediately kicked out many of them for failing their tests, significantly reducing the number of participants.

Xian Xianqin and Yun Xinyue, who had just appeared at the place, looked very embarrassed. Their faces were completely red, and they immediately rushed to one of the walls to rest, confusing Xian Changyue. ʼUgh! The tests are too crazy, especially the lust test!ʼ

The two princesses then looked around, but they could not find Zhang Fei there. Having witnessed some of his crazy actions, such as absorbing those vengeful souls, they could immediately surmise that he had encountered problems in his karmic test. ʼI donʼt know how difficult your karmic test is, but you must succeed, and we will complete all the challenges on the first floor together.ʼ

A few hours later, Zhang Fei finally managed to eliminate all his enemies, and the lightning tribulations had also disappeared. His appearance was quite messy, and his clothes were also full of holes. However, he noticed that the little girl was still standing in her previous spot, so he immediately approached her and knelt down before her. ”I donʼt know how you could appear here when we never had any problems in the past, but you should still be alive now, right, Luo Yunxiao? Do you hate me because I forgot about you for so long?”

Without saying anything, Luo Yunxiao pointed her index finger at Zhang Feiʼs chest and shot something into his body. However, he didnʼt feel anything, and the system also didnʼt show any reaction to it.

”What did you just do to me?” Instead, Luo Yunxiao disappeared from Zhang Feiʼs sight, which perplexed him. A portal immediately appeared and sucked him in, taking him back to the first floor. ʼCheck my body, Mei.ʼ

[Yes, Iʼm doing it now, Master.]

”Fei!” Xian Xianqin was the first to call out, run toward Zhang Fei, and shamelessly jump up to hug him. ”What happened to you? Why do you look this shabby?”

”Did you encounter your past enemies during your karmic test?” Feng Yao inquired.

Zhang Fei nodded with a bitter smile. ”I encountered all my previous opponents during my test, and their strength was comparable to mine, making it extremely challenging. Moreover, the test attacked me with several lightning tribulations, so it took me several hours to clear it.”

”Several lightning tribulations?” Almost all the participants, except for Feng Yao, Xian Xianwu, Xian Xianqin, and Xian Changyue, were shocked to hear that Zhang Fei had experienced two lightning tribulations when he broke through to the Earth Realm.

”I think itʼs good for you, especially since youʼll experience it again when you break through to 2-Star.” Feng Yao then checked Zhang Feiʼs body before asking via voice transmission. ʼYou should have touched the final barrier, and you can break through whenever you want, right?ʼ

ʼYes.ʼ Zhang Fei then glanced at several people before continuing. ʼI purposely held back my breakthrough because we might face the survival challenge soon, and I wanted to use it to get rid of those who are targeting me. However, some of them have already failed the maze challenge, so I decided to break through soon.ʼ

”All right, you should clean yourself up and rest for a while, especially since the next challenge could start at any time.” Feng Yao then left with Xian Changyue, leaving the lovebirds behind.

Zhang Fei then took Xian Xianqin away with him, but he noticed the red hues on both her cheeks, so he teased her. ʼDid you meet me during the lust challenge, dear princess?ʼ

ʼDonʼt mention that test! I donʼt want to talk about it.ʼ Xian Xianqin exclaimed loudly as her face turned even redder.

ʼHaha.ʼ Zhang Fei laughed as his guess was right on target. ʼActually, I met you during my test, and you tried to seduce me with your naked body.ʼ ”Ouch!”

After she stomped on Zhang Feiʼs foot, Xian Xianqin immediately ran away from him and returned to Yun Xinyueʼs side, where she hid her embarrassed face on her friendʼs shoulder.

Zhang Fei scratched his head before rushing off to another area to clean himself and change his clothes. ʼDid you find something inside my body, Mei?ʼ

[Unfortunately, I couldnʼt find anything, so I donʼt know what that little girl shot into your body, Master.] Zhang Fei frowned in response to that. [Anyway, who exactly is that little girl? Why wasnʼt she in your previous memories?]

Zhang Fei himself was confused by that. ʼHonestly, I donʼt have an answer for that, Mei. I only remembered about Luo Yunxiao when I met her earlier, or else I would never have remembered her.ʼ

[Have you had an accident in the past that caused you to lose some of your memories?]

ʼIʼve never had an accident, including when I worked in the factory.ʼ

[Thatʼs weird, Master. Anyway, Iʼll try to examine your brain to find out the cause, and Iʼll let you know when I find the answer.]

ʼAll right, you can do it.ʼ After he finished changing his clothes, Zhang Fei immediately returned to Xian Xianqin and Yun Xinyueʼs side to rest, and they did not disturb him.

Zhang Fei [1], who had just completed the daily quest, immediately left the training space. He rushed to meet Qing Yi and Zhang Lin at their residence, and he asked the two about Luo Yunxiao. ”Do you two remember her?”

”Yes.” Qing Yi immediately told her son. ”The Luo family resides a few houses away from ours, and the relationship between the two of you is very close, especially since you both share the same age and attend the same elementary school. However, her parents took her to move abroad when you both were ten years old, but I donʼt understand why you couldnʼt remember her after they were gone. I once tried discussing her with you, but you said that you had never met her.”

Zhang Lin then added. ”Since then, we never talked about her again because you acted strangely after you heard about her, and we kept all your photos with her in a safe place.”

”Did I have an accident after they left?” After the two women shook their heads, Zhang Fei [1] fell into deep thought, wondering why his memories of Luo Yunxiao had disappeared. ”Forget it; I donʼt want to think about him for now, and I will definitely find the answer one day.”

After that, Zhang Fei [1] returned to the training space again, but he did not dual-cultivate with his partners. Instead, he asked Zhang Lingxue to teach him how to concoct a rank three pill while they discussed further plans for their new shop.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei [4] was enjoying his time with Orith, Ilsath, and Zilvora at a black lake not far from where they had hunted demon beasts previously.

”Are you completely satisfied now?”

”Not yet.” Ilsath responded to Orith with a slight shake of her head. ”Having sex with him all day was satisfying, but Iʼm not completely satisfied yet. Unfortunately, my body still lacks the strength and stamina of yours, leaving me completely exhausted yesterday.”

”Haha.” Orith chuckled at that. ”If you were willing to have sex with her that day, your body would have been as strong as mine by now, and you probably wouldnʼt have been thrown into that portal.”

Ilsath then leaned on the lakeʼs edge and watched the dark sky. ”If I hadnʼt been stranded in that realm, I might never have known about demon cultivators. Although I suffered excruciating pain for several months in that realm, I feel fortunate to have experienced all that because I am a demon cultivator now, and I will become even stronger in the future.”

”In that case, you should have sex with Elion more often.”

”Yes.”

Zilvora shook her head, listening to the two succubi. She then turned to Zhang Fei [4], who looked thoughtful. ”Are there any other demon cultivators in this realm besides us in this realm?”

”Alder, the wolf king, is a demon cultivator.” Zilvora was shocked for a moment to hear that, but she remembered that his strength was indeed much higher than that of other demon kings or queens, and he even dared to oppose Oz the First. ”Iʼve long wanted to meet him, but I didnʼt know his character, and he was much stronger than me, so I always dropped my intentions.”

”Haha.” Zilvora laughed before telling him. ”Actually, you donʼt need to be afraid of Alder because he is the kindest demon in this realm, and he will never attack other demons as long as we donʼt attack him or his kin. Unfortunately, he is too selfish, and he doesnʼt want to interfere in other matters besides his own. Before we left for the Dead Forest, Oxgroth and I had tried to ask for his help, but he refused to help us.”

Zhang Fei [4] nodded in understanding and got out of the lake. ”Get dressed; we are going to Black Moon City now.”

After the three female demons were dressed, Zhang Fei [4] immediately enveloped them in his aura and took them away towards Black Moon City. Although his nine cloud steps had reached level four, they still needed a long time to arrive at the city, especially since their position was at the northern end and the city was at the southern end.

Meanwhile, Zhang Xiaolong [3] and the two women were already in the central area of the western island, and he was sorting out the herbs he had collected the day. As the demi-humans in the small town had told him, the herbs in that area were indeed much more varied, and their quality was the best compared to other areas. ʼHeh! This way, I can open my shop soon, and Iʼm sure that my shop will be able to compete with the three shops belonging to the Alchemy Union.ʼ

Shang Yaolin looked bored watching Zhang Xiaolong [3] busy with himself. ”Longʼer, I know you still want to look for herbs, but Iʼm really bored because weʼve been here for three days. What if we go to that northern city now?”

”All right, we will go there now.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] himself wanted to see the quality and types of herbs in the city. ”You two should change your appearance now so those people wonʼt be able to recognize us.”
