Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 423: The Seal Broken

”What are you going to do? Are you going to help that woman?” Tharnon asked Morgana, who had been watching Feng Yao from a distance.

Morgana shook her head slightly. ”You are not a cultivator, so you do not know that womanʼs strength. I can tell you that she is much stronger than those human cultivators, and her status in the upper realms is not ordinary; even the demon emperor of my realm bows his head to her.”

Upon hearing that, Tharnon gazed at Feng Yao with seriousness. ”What is her true identity?”

”Haha.” Morgana laughed, then turned to Tharnon. ”She is not a human woman but a female mythical beast; to be precise, she is the princess of the Phoenix race, Feng Yao. You are indeed an ancient demon beast, but you will not be able to move if she releases her beast aura.”

After learning Feng Yaoʼs identity, Tharnon was shocked. He naturally knew about the phoenix, but he did not expect that the woman in front of them was the princess of the phoenix race.

Morgana then propped her chin up while her eyes glanced around the area. ʼHow could the princess of the phoenix race appear in a realm out of nowhere? Who exactly is the demon that brought them to this realm? How could he hide his presence from my eyes and senses?ʼ

Shang Chenguang and Shen Xishun exchanged glances as they spoke via voice transmission, and they immediately drew their weapons, followed by five other people from their clan.

*Boom... Boom...*

Several explosions like fireworks lit up the demon emperor city and the surrounding area after Feng Yao shot her fire qi into the air several times, which created a giant fire phoenix figure in the dark sky.

Shang Xishun and the other senior frowned after they saw that, especially since they knew for sure the reason behind the giant fire phoenix figure, which was usually used by the phoenix race to mark their location, and the members of the race could easily find out the whereabouts of their members with it.

If they fought with Feng Yao, they would know about it, and her parents would lead their race to their realm.

Feng Yao smiled faintly at their reaction. ”Shang Clan from the Red Sun Realm, right? I know that Shang Huaqiang is ambitious to obtain the ten-tailed foxʼs legacies in the Sky Jade Realm, but that realm is under the protection of my phoenix race.

Moreover, you guys should remember the rules in the upper realms, and your clan must bear the consequences if you dare to violate them by attacking that realm.”

Their expressions turned ugly after Feng Yao mentioned the rules, and they were fully aware of the consequences. This is why they refrained from directly entering the Sky Jade Realm, instead opting to use the demons from the Netherworld Realm to infiltrate it.

*Zing...Zing...*

They all heard a strong vibration as soon as Feng Yao took out her long sword, which was completely red from the blade to the hilt, and several phoenix tails decorated the tip of the hilt.

Feng Yao immediately slashed his sword in a crisscross forward, causing a red qi cross to shoot out and hit the barrier, and it instantly crumbled into pieces.

The hearts of the people from the Shang Clan tightened after seeing that, especially since the materials needed to create the protective formation array were quite rare and exorbitantly priced, but it was destroyed by him with just one slash. ʼFuck! The strength of the Phoenix Princess is indeed impressive!

Even all the clans in the upper realms admit that she is the best among all our young generations.ʼ

The demons from the Netherworld Realm, standing behind Oz the 1st, instinctively took several steps back, their gazes solely focused on Feng Yao, unlike their demon emperor, who still appeared calm.

Feng Yao then landed in front of them as she glanced towards Oz the 1st, especially after she received a voice transmission from Zhang Xiaolong [3] regarding him. Unfortunately, she couldnʼt help him remove Shang Huaqiangʼs slave mark in his soul, and she herself had no intention of helping a demon like him.

Feng Yao then pointed her sword at people from the Shang Clan. ”I donʼt care about your desire to obtain the ten-tailed foxʼs legacies, but if you guys insist on attacking the Sky Jade Realm, I will stop you all, and I can assure you that other cultivators from the upper realms will go straight to your clan to demand their accountability.”

ʼWhat should we do now, Aunt Xishun and Uncle Chenguang?ʼ Shang Yaolin asked her seniors as she held her two short spears.

Sheng Guangming also grasped his long spear as he glanced at the two seniors, especially since they were the strongest among them, and he was confident that they should be able to stop Feng Yao.

”Tch!” Shang Xishun gritted her teeth before lashing his dragon bone whip towards Feng Yao, but the princess of the phoenix race casually swung her sword to deflect her whip.

”Destroy the seal now, Xishun! We will stop her!” Shang Chenguang shouted as he led three other seniors from their clan to attack Feng Yao, but she immediately flew into the sky to escape their encirclement, and they quickly started fighting in the dark sky.

Shang Xishun wanted to lash her dragon bone whip towards the portal, but several crescent-shaped light qi suddenly shot towards them, so she immediately pulled her two juniors to avoid the attacks.

However, Shang Xishun frowned as she realized that the attacks just now were too weak, and she was sure that the mysterious attackerʼs strength was still in the ten mortal realms, so she quickly scanned the surrounding area to find the source of the attacks.

Just as she thought that, two ethereal demon claws suddenly descended from the sky, followed by a loud roar.

*Roar.*

Unilke Oz the 1st and Shang Xishun, the other demons and the two juniors of the Shang Clan felt nauseous and dizzy by the effects of Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs demon kingʼs roar, causing them to stagger backwards.

”Who-” Shan Xishun hadnʼt finished asking Oz the 1st, but a large scale of black flames had already rained down on their location, so she immediately threw an artifact to protect herself and her two juniors. ”Protect them!”

Oz the 1st immediately moved and protected those demons from Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs hellflame incantation, but the area around them was immediately burned by his dark flames, causing the temperature in the area to heat up rapidly. However, the demon emperor immediately absorbed his flames into his body, bringing the situation back under control. ʼWas that demon the one who sent Tharnon to this realm?

How could he have mastered all the sub-techniques of the netherworld demon scripture?ʼ

After that, Shang Xishun immediately released his full strength and lashed his dragon bone whip towards the portal, which caused the seal on the portal to break instantly. ”Go!”

.

.

.

*Boom*

After Shang Xishun destroyed the demon seal, there was a loud explosion inside the demon cave, which threw Chang Wuhen and the other cultivators back, causing them to hit the cave wall. All of them vomited a lot of blood due to the backlash, and they suffered quite severe injuries.

ʼDamn it! It seems that Feng Yao and Zhang Fei failed to stop those cultivators, and the seal that we have maintained for so long has finally been broken.ʼ Chang Wuhen said so in his heart as he swallowed a healing pill, and she tried to stabilize her injuries while watching the demon portal.

Liu Rong and the other cultivators followed suit, swallowing healing pills to stabilize their serious injuries while maintaining their focus on Huang Jingtian and the others.

Only one of them seemed to be less affected by it, who was none other than Hu Gao. He had expected that the seal would break sooner or later, especially after Feng Yao used her phoenix flames to neutralize Shang Xishunʼs dragon poison, so he immediately restrained his qi before the seal broke.

Wasting no time, Hu Gao immediately flew out of the cave and ordered his race members to retreat, causing Chang Wuhen and the others to panic, especially since he was the only one among them who had light Qi. ʼHaha! Foolish people! Iʼm sure they wonʼt recover any time soon, so I can come up with another plan after this.

However, I must first find a way to stop those demons, or they will hinder my plan to rule this realm.ʼ

Despite the backlash from the portalʼs destruction, the traitors took the initiative to move and attack Chang Wuhen and the others. They took out some items given by the Pang Clan towards them, which immediately exploded and caused black smoke to fill the place, and the black smoke contained quite strong poison.

”Bastards!” As she charged at those traitors, Chang Wuhen immediately enveloped her body with her Qi, followed by Liu Rong and the other senior cultivators. However, they were a few seconds too late, as the poison had already invaded their bodies, causing their nerves to stiffen and their movements to slow down.

”Hahahaha! Useless!” Lan Tze laughed as she and the others took out a talisman, which immediately formed a barrier between them. The barrier instantly reflected their attacks, causing them to slam into the cave wall once more, exacerbating their injuries.

After that, the traitors shot out several small needles at Chang Wuhen and the others, which instantly penetrated their protective Qi and pierced their bodies, causing them to vomit blood once more.

”Hehehe.” Lan Tze laughed and threw another talisman toward the caveʼs mouth, sealing it from inside. ”None of you can escape from this place now, and only the people of the Pang Clan can enter. Moreover, those demons will invade this realm soon, and they will help us gain the power that we have long dreamed of.”

”As for you guys, all of you will become their slaves, and you will not be able to do anything to stop them.” Huang Shitian spoke as she moved towards Chang Wuhen and sealed his cultivation.

Qiao Fei and the others also moved to seal the cultivation of Liu Rong and the others, which put them in a tight spot. ”The poison from the Pang Clan is extremely strong, and no one but them can remove it. Even so, the poison wonʼt kill you because the demons still need you, so you can wait here until they arrive.”

”You traitors!” Liu Rong shouted at them as she clutched her chest. ”Your actions have disgraced your ancestors! In the past, they sacrificed their lives to save this realm from destruction, but you brought those demons back here instead.”

”So what?” Guan Long replied with an indifferent shrug. ”Theyʼve been dead for so long, but weʼre still alive now. Weʼll do anything to gain greater power, and the demons can help us with that.”

”Hahaha!” Zhang Long suddenly laughed and smiled mockingly at them. ”You may have defeated us, but you were really stupid to side with the Pang Clan, and they didnʼt seem to tell you anything, so you were just their sacrifices.”

Huan Jingtian immediately moved in front of Zhang Long and tamed his chest. ”What do you mean by that, Old Long?”

”Hahaha!” Zhang Long just laughed and did not answer Huang Jingtianʼs question. ”There is another sky above the sky, and your decision today will mark the end of your life. You-Guah!”

”Stop it!” Lan Tze immediately stopped Huan Jingtian, who was about to kill Zhang Long. ”They will punish you if you kill him, and they might kill you, so you better stop it.”

”Tch!” Huan Jingtian gritted his teeth and looked towards the demon portal. ”Why havenʼt those demons moved yet? They ought to be aware that we have already destroyed this portal.”

”I donʼt know because Pang Xiuwen didnʼt say anything, so we just have to wait for them to appear.” Lan Tze then looked outside the cave because Zhang Longʼs words gave him a bad feeling, and he used his senses to check outside but found nothing outside. ʼCould it be just my feeling?ʼ

.

.

.

Oz the 1st immediately ordered the demons to move, but an item suddenly floated above the portal, and a barrier right away enveloped it. In a split second, the first demon emperor disappeared from their sight, so they immediately stopped and looked at Shang Xishun, especially since they would only move at the command of their emperor.

Shang Xishun herself looked at the item with narrow eyes. ʼHow did that item appear here? Could the mysterious person be part of that clan? Only people from that clan could create such an item, but it should be impossible. They never go to the middle realm, and they only focus on the upper realms. If that person was from that clan, things would get really complicated.

We already dealt with the princess of the phoenix race, so we canʼt deal with that clan too.ʼ

”Aunt Xishun, that item belongs to that clan, right?” Shang Yaolin inquired as she pointed her index finger upwards.

Shang Xishun nodded to Shang Yaolin before taking out a token and activating it, especially since he couldnʼt make a decision on his own regarding the matter, which surprised Shang Guangming and Shang Yaolin.

In the following seconds, Shang Huaqiangʼs avatar appeared above them, so Shang Xishun and the two juniors immediately knelt before him. Shang Chenguang and the other three who were fighting Feng Yao also immediately stopped their fight, and they joined the three of them in kneeling before him.

Feng Yao herself immediately floated in front of Shang Huaqiangʼs avatar, causing him to be shocked by her presence. ”Heh! This is my first and last warning: Withdraw the people of your clan from this realm, or I will inform all the cultivators in the upper realms that you intend to attack a realm in the lower realm.”

Shang Huaqiangʼs avatar frowned upon hearing Feng Yaoʼs threat, but he did not respond to her directly. Instead, he gazed at the items floating above the portal, pondering in his heart. However, he swiftly waved his hand, sucked the items in, and caused the barrier to vanish. He then looked at her and shot a red light at her, which immediately confined her.

”Young Miss Feng, I will not send my people to the Sky Jade Realm, but I will not allow you to thwart the plan that I have been preparing for hundreds of years. You are indeed strong, but you are not my opponent, and even with just my avatar, I can still kill you. However, I do not want to look for trouble with your race, so I will only keep you here until they have completed their task.”

Feng Yao did not try to free herself, especially since she knew that her efforts would be in vain. After all, the difference in strength at each level of the seven divine realms was a stark contrast, and Shang Huaqiangʼs cultivation was several major levels above hers, which was on par with her parents.

”My job is only to stop cultivators from the upper realms, like us, from invading the Sky Jade Realm, so I donʼt care about the invasion of these demons. However, I can tell you that your efforts will not succeed, and your hundreds of years of planning will end in vain.”

”Is that so?” Shang Huaqiang then turned to the demons. ”Go to that realm now, or I will slaughter you all.”
