Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 409: The Witch Demon

As soon as Oz the 2nd and Zygoz arrived at the Dryad Forest, Feltia [2] immediately shared with them the information he had obtained about Oz the 1st, a revelation that shocked them greatly. ”For now, his identity is still just my guess, but I donʼt believe it is such a coincidence that a demon from the upper realms would choose the first demon emperorʼs name as his new name.

Therefore, I think there is a possibility that guy is indeed your predecessor. Even if my guess is true, his situation is not as easy as you guys think. The two people who brought him to the Netherworld Realm are truly powerful, and the people behind them should be even stronger. We canʼt act rashly regarding this matter, so we have to investigate it very carefully, or we will die in their hands.”

Both senior demons nodded in agreement with Feltia [2], but Oz the 2nd then asked Zygoz. ”What do you think about this matter? You are stronger than me, and you also have your portal ability, so I think you can go to that realm to investigate this matter.”

”I think thatʼs fine.” Zygoz then looked towards the Amaris Twinsʼ sub-realm. ”However, I canʼt investigate this matter alone, and it would be better if I brought Tharnon with me. Moreover, that demon beast was the first demon emperorʼs mount, and they have a strong bond.

If that guy is indeed your predecessor, then Iʼm sure that they will be able to sense each otherʼs presence, and he might be able to do something about him.”

Oz the 2nd nodded in agreement with that. ”All right, you can go pick up Tharnon now, and you can bring him here directly. Iʼm sure he will be overjoyed after hearing this information, so Iʼm certain that he wonʼt refuse you.”

Wasting no time, Zygoz immediately opened a portal and entered it, and he was back with Tharnon a few minutes later. As Oz the 2nd expected, the ancient demon beast looked excited about the matter, and he immediately asked Feltia [2]. ”Is it true that the man is my master?”

”I canʼt be sure about that, especially since the demons in that city are too strong for me.” Feltia [2] answered while shaking her head, causing Tharnon to doubt the truth, and he did not dare to hope too much. ”You and Zygoz are much stronger than me, so you two can go there to investigate this matter, and you may be able to find the truth later.

If that guy is truly your master, and you can free him from their influence, then this Diyu realm will be completely safe with all of you here.”

”Ursula should be in that realm now, right?” Feltia[2] nodded to Tharnon. ”In that case, I want them to join us to investigate this matter, especially since their illusion is stronger than that of two little girls. Even my master doesnʼt dare to mess with them, and they also have their eyes of truth, so they will be of great help to us.”

Feltia [2] actually didnʼt want to bother Ursula, especially since they were focused on increasing their demon power by using the demon aura in the Netherworld Realm. However, he himself was aware that their abilities were indeed extraordinary, especially their illusions and devourer abilities. Therefore, he immediately agreed to Tharnonʼs wishes, and it would be much better for them.

After Mei opened the portal to the training space, Feltia [2] immediately brought Tharnon and Zygoz in. However, he immediately used his invisibility ability to bring them to the Netherworld Realm, especially since Zhang Xiaolong [3] was still having fun with Xenaya; otherwise, the succubus would notice their presence.

Once they disappeared, Oz the 2nd let out a heavy sigh. ”I hope that guy is really my predecessor, and I hope they can bring him back to this realm. If they succeed in doing so, we will immediately devise a plan to attack those birds, and we can end the problems between us that have been going on for far too long.”

”Hmm?” As soon as Feltia [2] brought the two demons, Arbeola raised his eyebrows, but he was more interested in Tharnon than Zygoz, especially since he couldnʼt figure out his demon race. ”Are they also demons from that realm?”

”Yes.” Feltia [2] then introduced the two demons to Arbeola. ”Anyway, they need Ursulaʼs help to investigate the matter, so I will take them out of the room below.”

After Arbeola shifted from his original position, Feltia [2] rushed to wake Ursula up before leading them out of there. However, the presence of Zygoz and Tharnon surprised them a little, so he explained to them about the information regarding the first demon emperor.

”I wonʼt be joining you guys, and Iʼll be returning to the Diyu Realm right now, especially since I still need to improve my demon power. However, my third clone will continue to monitor your movements, and he will make a move if any of you encounter danger in the city.” Feltia [2] then gave them several demon-suppressing collars.

”I donʼt know whether the effect of these collars will work against those powerful demons, but you guys can keep them just in case.”

After they received the demon-suppressing collars, Feltia [2] immediately returned to the Diyu Realm through the gate, and Arbeola asked Tharnon directly. ”Could you please tell me about your demon race? Iʼve lived for a hundred thousand years, but I have no knowledge about your race.”

”Hahaha.” Tharnon laughed at Arbeolaʼs question. ”In the entire universe, only my master knows about my race, and these guys donʼt know about it, so I wonʼt tell you about my race either.”

Arbeola could only shake his head at that, so he immediately pointed north. ”The Demon Emperor City is in that region, so you guys can go there directly. However, all of you should act low-key, or your presence will be detected by the demon emperor and his personal guards, and you guys will suffer if you get caught by them.

Moreover, those two human cultivators are much stronger than them, and they can kill you guys easily.”

They nodded in understanding to Arbeola, but Zygoz immediately grabbed Tharnon and Ursula by the shoulders, and he immediately took them north through the portals he created repeatedly.

”A sorcerer demon, huh? His race is quite rare, and there are only a handful of them in this realm.” Arbeola muttered as he watched Zygozʼs portals quickly disappear by themselves. ”Even though his demon rank has already reached the emperor rank, he is just as weak as Ursula, and his abilities will probably be useless against them.

Fortunately, that ancient demon beast is by their side, and he seems to have unsual abilities, so they should be fine there.”

Although he was confident in Tharnonʼs abilities, Arbeola still ordered the other tree demons to watch over them, as well as to save them if they faced danger in the demon emperor city.

In the demon emperor city, the demon emperor of the Netherworld Realm, who was discussing with those high-ranking demons, suddenly felt his heart pounding rapidly. He immediately left his subordinates and rushed to the balcony of his castle, confusing them.

The demon emperor stood there looking into the distance, his right hand pressing against his chest. ”What is this? Why do I suddenly feel something like this? This strange feeling originates deep within my soul, but I canʼt remember anything about it. Somehow, I feel that I have forgotten many things, and they all seem to be important things to me.”

Just as the demon emperor was thinking about that, a black shadow in the form of a male demon came out of his body. However, his figure and face could not be seen clearly, and there were several chains binding his body with a keyhole right on his chest.

The demon emperor immediately stretched out his hand and touched the keyhole, and he felt familiar with it, but he couldnʼt remember anything. ”Who exactly are you? Who sealed you with these chains? Since you appeared from inside my body, you should be a part of me, right?”

”Emperor” The call made the black shadow immediately enter his body again, and the demon emperor immediately turned to the woman who was gracefully walking over to him.

The woman had a tall figure like the demon emperor around 7ʼ5”, and her slender body was covered by a black dress made of black feathers, accentuating her perfect curves and wide hips, plus a black collar decorated with a purple crystal around her neck. Her bright purple eyes, her shoulder-length curly purplish black hair, and her wide lips covered in purple give her a menacing appearance.

Additionally, she has two black wings on her back, which are similar to a crowʼs wings.

”Why are you here, Morgana? Didnʼt I forbid you to show yourself?” The demon emperor asked as he frowned. ”Moreover, the two human cultivators are in this realm right now, and they will surely capture you if they realize you are here.”

”Hey, Iʼve been keeping you company ever since those people sent you to my realm, remember? Moreover, those two arenʼt their leader, and both of them are weaker than me, so they wonʼt be able to detect my presence.” Morgana then moved in front of the demon emperor in the blink of an eye, and she immediately embraced his arm as she pulled him to the edge of the balcony.

”You are a celestial demon race, which is one of the strongest demon races in this universe, but your situation is truly miserable, and you canʼt even go against the orders of those humans. Back then, you had already reached the emperor rank, but your demon power was too weak compared to the demon emperor of my realm, and those people sent you to my realm to strengthen yourself.

The first time I met you, I immediately realized that you had lost your true self, and you were always confused about your situation. You knew that your name was Oz the 1st, but you couldnʼt remember anything about yourself. At that time, I suspected that they had erased your past memories, so I decided to accompany you to assess your situation, and the result was true that they did that to you.

They even brainwashed you, but I managed to reverse it, so you can return to being you. Unfortunately, I couldnʼt help you to restore your past memories, and several thousand years have passed, but I still havenʼt managed to do it.”

Oz the 1st took a deep breath and hugged Morganaʼs waist before planting a gentle kiss on her lips. ”I am truly grateful to have met you; if not for your help, I would have continued to live as their puppet. Unfortunately, they have implanted their slave mark in my soul, so I can never defy their orders, even though I have returned to being myself.”

”Yeah.” Morgana nodded and laid her head on Oz the firstʼs shoulder. ”Donʼt worry, I will keep trying to find a way to remove their slave mark from you, and I will free you from their clutches, so we can leave this realm and enjoy our lives together.”

”All right, I leave that to you, my lady demon witch.” Morgana smiled at that, and Oz the 1st told her about the strange feeling he had just felt, causing her to look up at him in surprise. ”Do you think my strange feeling has something to do with my past memories?

For the past thousand years, I have never felt such a feeling, but it suddenly came out on its own today, and itʼs causing me a little unease.”

”Yes.” Morgana nodded to Oz first before looking far away, and she immediately stretched her right hand forward. Instantly, a few black crows appeared in her palm, and they immediately flew away at full speed after she whispered a few things to them.

”If my guess is right, there is something or someone related to your past memories in this realm, and that something or someone may have just arrived here today, so you are just experiencing that feeling now.”

”I see.” Oz the 1st nodded in understanding to Morgana.

”Those two have contacted their seniors, and they will arrive in this realm in a week, so I have to move quickly.” Morgana then kissed Oz the 1stʼs lips first before getting out of his embraces. ”My crows wonʼt necessarily be able to find that something or someone, so I will also move on my own to look for it, and you can go back inside to take care of those foolish demons.”

”All right.” Morgana instantly disappeared from the beam, and Oz the first rushed back inside, but his mind was preoccupied by the feeling from earlier, which kept making him wonder about his true identity. ʼI hope she can help me find it so I can return to being my complete self.ʼ

”Stop!” Tharnon suddenly shouted at Zygoz, making him immediately stop creating the portal, and the three of them floated in the air. ”Hey! I think Zhang Feiʼs guess is correct: the demon emperor of this realm is my master.”

”Are you sure about that?” Zygoz and Ursula asked Tharnon at the same time.

”Yes.” Tharnon nodded to them. ”My master and I have something special in our souls that ties us to each other. The closer we get to the Demon Emperor City, the more I can feel his presence, so I am completely certain that guy is him. Moreover, I also sensed a strong demon aura coming from that city, and its owner has already left the place.

Perhaps that person has already noticed our presence, and he or she seems to intend to look for us, so we should hide for now, especially since we are not his or her match.

Ursula immediately said to Zygoz. ”Take us into hiding, Old Man.”

Zygoz nodded in agreement and used his other abilities, and a special portal appeared in front of them. ”Letʼs go in! This portal connects us to my sub-dimension, but we donʼt know the identity or demon race of the owner of the aura, and that person might be able to see through it, so we still have to be careful of that person.”

Tharnon and Ursula nodded at him before they entered the portal, and Zygoz immediately closed it. However, they did not realize that one of Morganaʼs black crows had already noticed them, and it immediately informed her of their presence.
