Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 414: Against Two Women

*Swosh... Swosh...*

Two arrows shot towards Hu Qiaomu, but she immediately used her aura to block them before grabbing them both and swiftly shooting them back in the direction they came from. However, two other arrows immediately shot out and collided with the two, causing them to explode at the same time.

*Swosh... Swosh...*

Once again, countless tree roots attacked Hu Qiaomu, but she dodged their attacks again and again. She continued to use her weapon to destroy them, but she did not take her eyes off Sabina and Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ʼWhat the hell are they thinking? Why are they using weak attacks to attack me? Could they be setting up a trap for me?

Zhang Xiaolong [3] faintly smiled and used the forest manipulation ability, shocking Hu Qiaomu as countless trees suddenly burst out of the ground and surrounded her, quickly forming a small man-made forest. He also used plant manipulation, which he mimicked from Lillea, and those trees immediately came out of the ground and walked like humans.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] then used the plant generation, an ability he mimicked from Milia, to create some man-eating plants. He also created some poisonous plants, but not ones with deadly poisons.

Although she had seen it before when Zhang Xiaolong [3] trapped Pang De, Sabina was still amazed by his ability to create all of that. However, she remembered his previous explanation about his soul manipulation ability that he mimicked from Oz the 2nd, leading her to believe that he had mimicked the abilities of the other dryads.

*Swoosh... Swoosh...*

ʼDamn it!ʼ Hu Qiaomu cursed as she continued to dodge the treesʼ attacks, but they continued to regenerate no matter how fast she destroyed them. She also protected her face with qi, especially after some of those poisonous plants released poisonous gas, filling the man-made forest. ʼShit! That dryadʼs ability is really annoying!

I have to get rid of her first, or Iʼll never be able to catch that brat, and Iʼll run out of Qi because of these damn trees.ʼ

Unfortunately, Hu Qiaomu misunderstood Sabina, especially since all those things were Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs creation, and he was deliberately stalling for time to exhaust her.

Sabina then ordered the trees to continue attacking Hu Qiaomu, and Persix also repeatedly shot many arrows at the female moon fox, making her even more overwhelmed by her situation.

ʼTch!ʼ Hu Qiaomu gritted her teeth before returning to her beast form, a moon fox with five tails, similar to Hu Lili and Hu Yue. She used her tails to deflect those treesʼ attacks, and she also used her two weapons to destroy them. Unfortunately, she made a fatal mistake in doing so, and the poisonous plantsʼ thorns repeatedly scratched her tails, causing their poison to start invading her body.

Seeing that, Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately released his heavenly fox aura and directed it at Hu Qiaomu, making her feel even more pressured by his action. However, he did not immediately suppress his bloodline with all of his strength; he gradually increased the pressure.

No matter how strong Hu Qiaomu was, a moon fox was still a divine beast, and her bloodline was inferior compared to Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs heavenly fox bloodline, which was a mythical beast. Moreover, Sabina and Persix continued to help him, so she gradually lost her momentum and speed, giving the trees a chance to attack her.

ʼFuck! These bastards! Theyʼre toying with me on purpose!ʼ Hu Qiaomu cursed after she noticed the changes in her body, and she felt that her nerves were starting to go haywire, making her movements even more sluggish.

*Boom*

Using all her strength, Hu Qiaomuʼs aura suddenly exploded, pushing the trees and plants away from her. She immediately flew towards Zhang Xiaolong [3] and Sabina, and she quickly destroyed all the trees that tried to block her path.ʼ

After a prolonged struggle, Hu Qiaomu successfully emerged from the man-made forest, swooped towards Zhang Xiaolong [3] and Sabina, and swung her front claws towards them.

However, they suddenly disappeared from Hu Qiaomuʼs sight as soon as Zhang Xiaolong [3] took Sabina away from their spot using his teleportation, and her attacks landed on the empty ground.

*Boom*

Hu Qiaomuʼs full attack sparked a loud explosion, scattering dust and leaving two claw marks in the area.

”Hmm?” Hu Qiaomu immediately looked up as soon as she felt something coming down on her, and her expression was quite shocked when she saw a huge ethereal demon claw trying to squash her. Without thinking twice, she opened her mouth and shot a giant light ball towards it, and the two immediately collided with each other.

*Boom*

Instantly, Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs demon claw disappeared because his strength was indeed much weaker than Hu Qiaomuʼs, and her light Qi ball shot high into the sky, but he and Sabina were not in that direction, so her attack only hit an empty air.

*Roar*

”Ugh!” Hu Qiaomu staggered backward as a loud roar was directed at her, and her fox body trembled quite strongly from the effect of Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs demon kingʼs roar, which also caused her mind to go muddled.

Hu Qiaomu repeatedly shook her head to clear her thoughts, but billows of black smoke quickly surrounded her after Zhang Xiaolong [3] used the demon corruption ability, which shocked her once again after she realized that they were imbued with darkness elements.

She immediately released her light qi to the maximum limit to protect herself from those smokes, and she also released her aura to repel them.

In fact, Sabina and Persix could capture Hu Qiaomu quickly if they moved together, but Zhang Xiaolong [3] wanted to weaken her physically and mentally before he could use the soul manipulation on her, so they held back and followed his plans.

”Hah... Hah...” After she did all that, Hu Qiaomu panted heavily, especially since she had used too much of her qi to escape the man-made forest.

*Tap... Tap...*

Hu Qiaomu immediately turned her head back to see Persix walking out of the western forest while pointing his bow at her. Sabina also appeared above him with a faint smile on her face, but Zhang Xiaolong [3] was not with her. ”What cowards! You guys only dare to gang up on me!”

”Hehe.” Sabina chuckled at Hu Qiaomuʼs words. ”Arenʼt you a hypocrite? Our brotherʼs cultivation is in the soul realm, and your cultivation is in the sovereign realm, like us, yet you want to kill him.”

”We donʼt want to fight you because we are born from nature, but you made a big mistake in wanting to kill our brother.” Hu Qiaomu moved back as Persix walked closer, but she remained wary of their surroundings, especially since she still couldnʼt sense Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs presence.

”Even though he is still young, all of our natural races have acknowledged him as our leader, so we will never allow you to do such a thing to him, and we will confront your race members directly if they insist on killing him.”

”What?” Hu Qiaomu screamed softly as she was shocked by Persixʼs confession. ”You must-.”

”Are you surprised by our relationship?” Hu Qiaomu froze as soon as she heard Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs voice from behind. She wanted to jump away, but he had already grabbed her tail and used a demon-absorbing technique on her.

”Argh!” Hu Qiaomu instantly collapsed onto the ground and screamed in pain, especially after Zhang Xiaolong [3] started absorbing her soul power and life force, and he was absorbing both of them very quickly. ”Argh! Stop it! Iʼll die if you do that to me!”

”Do you think I intend to kill you?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] posed this question as he continued his actions. ”If I wanted to kill you, I wouldnʼt have held Sabina and Persix back. With their cultivations on par with yours, they could capture you, and I could kill you with their assistance.”

”You-” Before Hu Qiaomu could finish cursing, Zhang Xiaolong [3] had already used the soul manipulation ability and pulled her soul out of her body, causing her to look at him in horror. ”What... what are you going to do to me? Please! Donʼt enslave me! I donʼt want to be your slave, even if you are a havenly fox.”

”I donʼt need to enslave you in order to make you submit to me; you will obey me for the rest of your life.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then released his soul from his body, and his soul form made Hu Qiaomu even more frightening of him, especially since itʼs shape was a combination of his three bloodlines.

”You-” Hu Qiaomu immediately swallowed her words back as soon as her other soul appeared in front of her, and her eyes widened as she watched Zhang Xiaolong [3] merge her second soul with his. A while later, she could feel something from deep within her soul, making her realize her fate.

”This way, you wonʼt be able to do anything to me, and your life will be tied to me for the rest of your life.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then returned their souls into their respective bodies, and Hu Qiaomu immediately returned to her human form as she looked at him in terror. ”I donʼt usually spare my enemies, but you are a moon fox, and you still have some use for me, so I only did this to you.

However, you should already be aware that you wonʼt survive if something happens to me, and you will also die if I die, so you should know what to do, right?”

After hearing that, Hu Qiaomuʼs face turned deathly pale, and the realization that her life was tied to Zhang Xiaolong [3] caused her arrogance to slowly crumble. That way, she would not be able to attack him, let alone kill him, especially since she herself would suffer the consequences, and she naturally could not allow others to do bad things to him. ʼDamn it!

Why do I have to suffer such an unfortunate fate? Even though I still have my freedom, my life lies in his hands.ʼ

Zhang Xiaolong [3] then spoke to Hu Qiaomu again. ”You can go back to your sub-realm and take those two young female foxes with you, and I want you to protect Hu Yue from anyone, including Hu Gao and Hu Dong.”

”What?” Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs order shocked Hu Qiaomu, and she had a hard time understanding how he knew Hu Yue, so she asked him. ”How did you know her?”

”I wonʼt explain it in detail to you, but I will tell you that Hu Yue is my woman now, and I will snatch her from Hu Dongʼs hands soon.” Hu Qiaomu was stunned by Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs answer, but she then sighed heavily after remembering his relationship with the natural races, and they even acknowledged him as their leader.

”Anyway, Hu Xiufu is with me now, and she doesnʼt want to stay in your sub-realm because you are using her as a tool. You even ordered her to use her body to seduce me, so she wants to separate herself from you guys, and Iʼve promised to protect her.”

ʼTch! That little bitch! So sheʼs in this bastardʼs hands, and sheʼs already leaked my orders to him!ʼ

”Hey! I can hear your thoughts, you know?” Hu Qiaomu frowned at Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”As I said before, your soul is tied to mine, so you donʼt need to be surprised if I can do it, right? If I find out that you have bad thoughts about the people around me, I will kill you instantly by destroying your soul, and you better not doubt my words. Now go back and take them with you.”

”Tch!” Hu Qiaomu gritted her teeth and flew away with her remaining strength. She then took some pills to restore her condition, but she kept looking at Zhang Xiaolong [3].

”Are you sure that she couldnʼt do anything to you?” Sabina questioned Zhang Xiaolong [3] as she looked at Hu Qiaomu, who was flying further and further away.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded to the dryad leader. ”Ozʼs soul manipulation ability is very terrifying, so Hu Qiaomu wonʼt be able to do anything to me or anyone close to me, and she wonʼt be able to tell Hu Gao anything about me either.”

Persix, the centaur race leader, spoke directly to Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”However, Hu Gao will probably punish Hu Qiaomu if she doesnʼt follow his orders because of you, and he might even kill her, especially considering that guy is too overbearing, so she wonʼt be of any use to you.”

”Youʼre right.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately agreed with Persix. ”For now, Hu Gao is still in the demon cave and focused on the seal, so he wonʼt be able to do anything to Hu Qiaomu. Actually, I donʼt care if he wants to punish or kill her, but I donʼt think he will make such a stupid decision, especially since she is one of the important elders in their race.”

”I see.” Perix nodded in understanding and asked again. ”Do you need our help to capture Xing Mei?”

”No need.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately asked Liu Qingyu and Ba Shuxiang to come out of their hiding place. ”Qingyu is more than enough to help me handle Xing Mei, so you two donʼt need to do anything to her, and you guys can monitor this region again.”

The two nodded to Zhang Xiaolong [3], and he immediately brought the two women back to the Heavenly Sword City before going to the Gu Clan.

Perix let out a soft sigh and spoke to Sabina. ”Somehow, I feel that that kid would be a terrifying enemy if he were our enemy, especially since he has too many strange abilities up his sleeve, such as his soul manipulation ability.”

”Haha.” Sabina laughed at that. ”Fortunately, he is not our enemy, so we donʼt need to worry about him or his abilities, and I am sure that he will lead our races back to our past glory, so we just need to protect him and wait for the time to come.”

Xing Mei, who was sitting alone in the garden, was startled by the sudden appearance of Zhang Xiaolong [3] and the two women. She frowned for a moment when she saw Ba Shuxiangʼs demon form, but she immediately smiled and asked Liu Qingyu. ”When did you come back? Why did the three of you suddenly come here?”

Liu Qingyu glanced at Zhang Xiaolong [3] before answering Xing Mei. ”Donʼt you already know our purpose for coming here? I am truly disappointed in you, and youʼve already made a big mistake by selling us out to Tian Gongzhu and Hu Qiaomu.”

Xing Mei froze after he mentioned that, but Liu Qingyu immediately moved behind her and restriected her, and Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately brought them into the Yin-Yang Space.
