Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 404: Netherworld Realm Demon Emperor

In the Yin-Yang Pavilion, Zhiyu Fengzhi seemed overwhelmed to treat the members of the Shen Clan who were beaten by Tian Jiyuan two days ago, especially since he was the only healer in the sect. Moreover, some of them, including Shen Yang and Shen Hai, sustained serious injuries.

Although they had passed their critical period, their injuries were still quite severe, so he had to continue monitoring them.

Moreover, Zhiyu Fengzhi himself still had a patient with a strange condition, who was none other than Ba Yongshan, so his concentration was divided between them.

It had been a week since his parents brought Ba Yongzhan to the Yin-Yang Pavilion to get treatment from Zhiyu Fengzhi, especially since he was the best healer they knew. Unfortunately, he still hasnʼt managed to revert their sonʼs condition back to normal, and their sonʼs condition also continues to decline.

Just as Zhiyu Fengzhi was feeling exhausted, he was surprised by the sudden arrival of a woman in his medical hall, and he was even more surprised after he saw her appearance. ʼA natural race? Why did she come here?ʼ ”How did you enter without being noticed by the sect members, my lady?”

”My name is Elmyra, the leader of the elves, and I came here because of these people.” Zhiyu Fengzhi was confused by this, especially since he knew that the natural races never liked humans, but Elmyra immediately approached Shen Yang and the others. ”I know that these people have a relationship with Zhang Fei, and those foxes beat them up because of him, so I came specifically to heal them.”

Elmyraʼs explanation surprised Zhiyu Fengzhi once again, but he didnʼt ask her directly, especially since she had already activated her light element and enveloped the people in it, making the room brightly lit.

Zhiyu Fengzhi looked amazed when he saw Elmyraʼs light element, especially since it was pure white and strong compared to other peopleʼs. ʼAmazing! Her light element is the purest Iʼve ever seen! Iʼve heard that the elves are one of the flawless races, and they have a profound bond with nature, but this is my first time meeting one of them.

Moreover, this woman is their leader, and her cultivation is much higher than that of the Shen Ancestor, so these guys should be able to recover in no time.ʼ

After a few minutes, Elmyria withdrew her light element and turned to Zhiyu Fengzhi. ”Even though Iʼve healed their injuries, you must improve their body condition so as not to leave any sequela.”

”Thank you for your help, Lady Elmyra.” Zhiyu Fengzhi sincerely said. ”Anyway, can you help me cure someone else? I treated him in this building, and his condition is really strange. His outer body is already petrified, and his inner organs are also gradually petrifying. Iʼve tried everything to restore his condition, but all of them were useless, and I estimated that he would die within a month.”

Elmyra raised her eyebrows after hearing that, but she immediately used her senses to check the medical hall in search of Ba Yongshan. She immediately checked his condition after finding him in another room, but she then refused Zhiyu Fengzhiʼs request. ”I donʼt know for certain the identity of the person who did that to him, but I have my own guess about that person.

If that person did such a thing to him, then Iʼm sure there must have been some serious problems between them before, so I wonʼt help you restore her condition.”

”But-” Elmyra just shook her head and disappeared from that place, causing Zhiyu Fengzhi to sigh heavily. However, he remembered her previous words, which raised suspicions in his mind, and he turned to the members of the Shen Clan. ”What exactly is her relationship with Zhang Fei?

Previously, she said that she came here because these guys had a relationship with him, and she cured them because of him. If my guess is correct, he was the one who did that to Ba Yongshan, but I donʼt understand how he could have such an ability.

Unfortunately, he has been in seclusion since two weeks ago; even Mistress Shen and the others joined him, and I donʼt know how to contact them, so I canʼt do anything to help that kid.”

Once again, Zhiyu Fengzhi sighed heavily before going to Ba Yongshanʼs room, and he told his parents that he had no solution to restore his condition, so he asked them to take him back to the Ba Clan.

However, Ba Zhongtan and Ye Mingchen persistently pressed him to find a solution for their son, leaving Zhiyu Fengzhi completely powerless due to their attitude. He eventually agreed to their wishes, but he couldnʼt promise them anything.

In another area of the Yin-Yang Pavilion, a young woman sat on a stone chair, propped her head on a table, and her eyes kept looking towards a building.

Several other young men and women who were sitting around her shook their heads, especially since she kept grumbling non-stop, which she had been doing for almost two weeks.

”Hey! Dongʼer! Why do I think that you have fallen for Zhang Fei [1]? Youʼve been coming here and grumbling in annoyance ever since he brought Luo Yu and the others into seclusion, leading me to believe that his charms have captured your heart.” She then turned to the others. ”Donʼt you think the same as me, Lingshu?”

Mu Lingshu nodded at her. ”I agree with you, Luoyue. Dongʼer has been captivated by Zhang Fei [1] for a long time, especially after he-.”

”Shut up, Lingshu!” Lin Dongʼer shouted as she stood up, but her face was completely red as she remembered when Zhang Fei [1] touched her breasts two months ago, and she kept thinking about him after that incident because he was the first man who dared to do such a thing to her. ”Do you think I donʼt know that you are starting to like him too?”

”No.” Mu Lingshu immediately denied it. ”Zhang Fei [1] is indeed good, and heʼs also handsome; even his cultivation has surpassed ours. However, we rarely meet, and our relationship is bland, especially since heʼs always busy with his personal affairs, so Iʼve never had that kind of feeling for him.

Anyway, you were the one who teased him first, but you ran away like a rabbit after he returned your teasing.”

Hearing that, Nanxuan Luoyue asked Mu Lingshu again. ”What exactly did Zhang Fei [1] do to Dongʼer? Why is she behaving as if sheʼs deeply in love with him?”

”You can ask Dongʼer yourself.”

Nanxuan Luoyue and the others immediately turned to Lin Dongʼer, but she quickly turned her face aside and did not want to tell them the truth, especially since the incident at the time was really embarrassing for her.

Suddenly, two people approached them, and the young man questioned them. ”Are you guys still waiting for Cousin Fei? I think you guys shouldnʼt wait for him, especially since he wonʼt be coming out of his seclusion anytime soon, and he probably wonʼt come out in a few months.”

”Huh?” They were all shocked to hear that, and Xia Bing then asked him. ”What is your cousinʼs goal, Quan Xun? Why did he decide to enter seclusion for so long?”

”Tell us, Quan Xun.” Lian Chengyu also spoke to him.

Quan Xun brought his partner, Tang Susu, to sit in front of them. ”To tell you the truth, my cousin intended to break through to the Earth or Heaven Realms as quickly as possible, so he decided on that.”

Quan Xunʼs answer left them all stunned, especially since Zhang Fei [1] had only recently broken through to the Soul Realm, but he was now already targeting two major stages ahead.

Xia Bing was the first to regain his senses and speak directly. ”Since Brother Fei already has such an intention, we canʼt just stay in this sect; we have to work harder to reach the soul realm as soon as possible. Otherwise, we will fall further behind him, and the only way for us to do that is to go out to carry out new missions so that we can continue to improve our abilities.”

”I agree with you.” Lian Chengyu said as he nodded. ”However, we canʼt just focus on our abilities, and we also have to think of other ways to improve our cultivation.”

”Hahaha.” Nanxuan Luoyue laughed at that. ”I didnʼt think much about it because I have Xia Bing, and we can help each other to improve our cultivation.”

”Humph!” Lian Chengyu snorted, then contacted someone. ”In fact, Iʼve already found a new partner to replace Lan Zhen, and Iʼve called her to come here so we can go straight to the mission hall and look for new missions afterward.”

They were surprised by Lian Chengyuʼs confession, but they didnʼt think too much about it, especially since his new partner would meet them soon. Nanxuan Luoyue then turned to Lin Dongʼer and Mu Lingshu. ”What about you two? Are you guys going to continue being single like this?”

”Humph!” Lin Dongʼer answered Nanxuan Luoyueʼs question with a cold snort as she turned her face away, but her mind was filled with many questions, and she was fully aware that her cultivation would be slow to improve as long as she still didnʼt have a partner.

As for Zhang Fei [1], she did always think about him, but she did not have the mind to become his partner because the number of his wives and partners was too numerous, and her father did not want her to get a dual cultivator husband.

”I have an abnormality in my body, and Zhang Fei [1] told me that it is a stone body, which makes me unable to feel anything.

Thatʼs why I never thought about looking for a partner, and Iʼm still very young now, so I still have a lot of time to improve my cultivation manually.” Nanxuan Luoyue and the others looked at Mu Lingshu with pity, but they were also at a loss to comfort her, especially since they didnʼt know anything about it. ”Forget it; Iʼm already used to my situation, so I didnʼt think too much about it.

Moreover, he told me that my abnormality can still be cured, and he will help me find a cure, so I just need to be patient for now.”

Quan Xun then spoke to comfort Mu Lingshu. ”Senior Sister, if my cousin has said so, I believe that he will definitely cure you in the future, so you can live a new life as a normal woman and have a partner. However, he still has a lot of problems in his right hand now, so he probably wonʼt be able to do it anytime soon.”

Mu Lingshu nodded in understanding to Quan Xun before asking him. ”Do you two want to join us? We will be taking on missions for inner disciples, but we can help you guys with outer disciple missions so you can both improve your abilities.”

”What do you think about that? Do you want to go on missions with them?” Tang Susu was a shy girl, and she only nodded to Quan Xun. ”In that case, the two of us will join you all. However, I donʼt know much about this realm yet, so I hope you can help us choose missions that are suitable for us and on the same route as your missions.”

”Donʼt worry, we will help you two.”

After they had waited for some time, Lian Chengyuʼs new partner finally arrived, but her identity was quite surprising to them, especially since she was a core disciple, and her name was Fu Lingshan.

They immediately gazed at him with strange looks, but Lian Chengyu responded by putting on a smug face and pulling his partner into an embrace. However, Fu Lingshan immediately smacked his head before speaking to them. ”Actually, I accepted him as my partner because he looked lonely, and I also just split up with my old partner. Even though he is a junior, he is not bad, and I like him.”

After that, they all rushed to the mission hall before taking on some missions for the outer and inner disciples. They decided to take on the slightly difficult missions, especially since Fu Lingshan had the ability to help them.

In a throne room lit by dim light emanating from countless black crystals, a middle-aged man wearing all black, combined with a black crown on his head, sat on his throne while looking at Elijah, who was kneeling with one leg beneath him.

The middle-aged man had a serious but sinister face. He had sharp, red eyes that were as red as blood. His long black hair was left loose and disorderly, and his face was covered by a thick black mustache and beard. In addition, there were many small demons constantly floating around him, and his aura was quite frightening, even for a high-ranking demon like the vampire lord.

”Why did you come late to answer my summons, Elijah?”

Elijah appeared to tremble, and he replied directly. ”Demon Emperor, I met a beast cultivator on my way here and thought about gifting him to you, so I captured him first. Unfortunately, he suddenly died for no apparent reason when I brought him here, so I immediately threw away his body.”

”Hmm?” The demon emperor frowned after he heard that, but he himself had already obtained information about the presence of those humans in their realm. However, he was not interested in ordinary humans like them, so he did not ask his subordinates to bring them to him. ”Are you certain that this person is a beast cultivator?”

”Yes.” Elijah then continued. ”That person admitted that he was a beast cultivator, and he came to this realm with two of his friends. However, I was in a hurry to come here to fulfill your summons, so I didnʼt track the whereabouts of the two friends. Perhaps there were other high-ranking demons who met them, so you might want to ask them, Emperor.”

The demon emperor wanted to contact the other high-rank demons to confirm Elijahʼs information, but two mysterious people wearing red robes suddenly appeared behind him, and one of them spoke directly to him.

”I think I know the identity of that beast cultivator, especially since there is only one beast race in this universe that can travel freely to different realms, and that race is the heavenly fox race. I know theyʼre looking for something here since they came to this realm, so send those demons to investigate.”

The demon emperor did not dare to refute that, and he took out several tools, which immediately flew away after he injected his demon power into them.

After that, another mysterious person asked him. ”How is the progress of your efforts to break the seal on the portal? Are you still unsuccessful in doing so?”
