Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 410: Talk With Morgana

A while later, Morgana had arrived at the place where the three demons disappeared, and she smiled faintly as she looked at where Zygoz had created his portal earlier.

Despite being separated by a different dimension, the demons hiding inside Zygozʼs sub-dimension instantly froze as they sensed that Morgana could see them. Her next words shocked them, especially the Libra. ”A sorcerer demon and a devourer demon, huh? As for the other one, you should be an archdemon boar, right?

Your demon races are truly unusual, and there are only a few of your kind in this universe.”

Zygoz, Ursula, and Tharnon were completely shocked by Morganaʼs words, especially since the other demons werenʼt supposed to be able to see them, yet she could see them and recognize their identities at a glance.

”Since you guys donʼt want to come out, then Iʼll go in there.” Morgana then pulled out a dagger with a black hilt and a purple blade, slicing through the air to reveal the three demons who appeared terrified of her. She then stepped straight into the hole before it vanished. ”Are you three surprised by my abilities?

Iʼm not an ordinary demon; Iʼm a mix of a demon and a witch, and Iʼm also a demon cultivator, so I have many abilities that other demons donʼt have.”

Tharnon and Zygoz were surprised to hear that, but the case was different with Ursula because they could feel that Morgana was indeed a demon cultivator, especially since they were demon cultivators.

”Moreover, one of my black crows has been watching you three since earlier, so itʼs too easy for me to find you guys.” Morgana spoke again, as they continued to remain silent. ”Anyway, I came to meet you three not because I wanted to capture you guys, but because I wanted to confirm something.”

Tharnon was the first to react, and he replied directly to Morgana. ”Iʼve heard of those witches, but they usually live in their own sub-realm and rarely show themselves. However, Iʼve never heard of a mixed breed of a witch and a demon, especially since they also hate demons.”

”Haha.” Morgana laughed softly when she heard that. ”The pureblood witch has long been extinct, so only mixed-breeds like me are left in this universe, but there are only a few of us.”

”Hmm?” Morganaʼs answer made Tharnon raise his eyebrows.

”You seem to have lived in the lower realms for too long, so you donʼt know many things that happen in the upper realms.” Morgana then pointed her finger at Tharnonʼs chest as she chanted something, causing his soul to leave his body by itself.

Ursula and Zygoz wanted to move to help their friend, but Morgana immediately restricted their movements, rendering them unable to move or speak, especially since she was much stronger than them.

”So itʼs true, huh? I had suspected that something in this realm was causing my husband to be restless, and it turns out you were the source.

Otherwise, this black mark from the celestial demon race wouldnʼt be in your soul, proving his trust to you.” Zygoz and Ursula were even more shocked by that, but Morgana immediately returned Tharnonʼs soul into his body, causing him to become even more frightened of her, especially since he couldnʼt do anything when she took out his soul. ”What is your relationship with Oz the 1st?”

”Huh?” The three demons looked at Morgana in surprise. ”How do you know that name?”

Morgana sighed softly while shaking her head, but she immediately told them. ”Oz the 1st is my husband, and I met him in the upper realms. However, I met him in bad condition because someone had erased his memories, and that guy had also brainwashed him. Even so, he returned to normal after I reversed it, but he couldnʼt remember his past, and he only remembered his name.”

Unlike Ursula and Zygoz, who looked excited after listening to Morganaʼs explanation, Tharnon instead stood frozen in his spot because his feelings became mixed after hearing that.

For thousands of years, Tharnon always thought that Oz the 1st had died, but some time ago Zhang Fei told him that there was a possibility that his master was still alive and living somewhere out there. Even so, he didnʼt dare to hope too much at that time because he couldnʼt leave the Diyu Realm to go look for him, especially since he was too weak for that.

Unconsciously, blood dripped from Tharnonʼs eyes, but his expression transformed into relief upon discovering that Oz the 1st was still alive. ”Where... where is my master now? Is... is he really the person disguised as the demon emperor of this realm? I am his mount, and I have sworn allegiance to him.

Even so, he never treated me as a mount, and he always treated me like his own brother, so we planted our marks in each otherʼs souls as a sign of our brotherhood.”

”I already knew that.” Morgana nodded in response to Tharnon. ”Just as his mark is in your soul, I have long been aware of the presence of your mark in his soul. Unfortunately, he couldnʼt remember about it, and he was always in pain whenever he tried to remember his past, so I never forced him to remember it again.

However, your arrival in this realm changed the situation, and he could feel your presence from afar, which made him restless. Anyway, how did you know that he disguised himself as the demon emperor of this realm? How did the three of you come to this realm?

Since all of you are demons from the lower realms, and the strength of the three of you is also still too low, so you guys should not have been able to come here.”

”Thatʼs-”

Ursula immediately stopped Tharnon, and they answered Morganaʼs questions. ”A powerful demon came to our home realm, and he has helped us a lot, including finding out that the first demon emperor is still alive.

However, he only knew that Oz the 1st had been sent to other realms by someone, and he couldnʼt track his whereabouts, especially since that person used an artifact to send him away randomly. For thousands of years, we all thought he was dead, but he is still alive, and he even has a powerful wife like you. As for the demonʼs identity, we cannot tell you about it, or he will punish us.”

”Thatʼs true.” Zygoz joined in to confirm Ursulaʼs words. ”That demon came from other realms, and his strength even exceeds that of an emperor or empress like us, so I hope you wonʼt force us to reveal his identity to you, or he will punish us. Anyway, he was the one who brought us to this realm, especially after he got information about Oz the 1st impersonating the demon emperor of this realm.

However, he had urgent business, so he left us in this realm, and he asked us to investigate the truth ourselves.”

”All right, I donʼt want to put you guys in trouble, so I wonʼt ask anything, even though Iʼm curious about the demonʼs identity.” Morgana then told them about what happened to Oz the 1st. ”The artifact sent my husband to the Red Sun Realm, one of the realms in the upper realms, and the leader of that realm immediately captured him.

Anyway, his name is Shang Huaqiang, and he is a powerful cultivator; even I couldnʼt defeat him because he was too strong. After he erased my husbandʼs past memories and brainwashed him, he sent him to my realm to strengthen him. Fortunately, I found him when he wandered around my private place, and I realized his situation immediately, so I decided to help him.

Since then, I have accompanied him for thousands of years, and I decided to become his wife.”

”Thank... you... for saving my master.”

”You donʼt need to do such a thing with me.” Morgana immediately stopped Tharnon, who wanted to kneel before her. ”Since my husband regards you as his brother, then you are also my brother.

Unfortunately, his situation is still not too good, especially since Shang Huaqiang also planted a slave mark into his soul, and I have tried many times to remove it, but it is too strong, and my efforts have always been in vain.”

Tharnon, Ursula, and Zygoz were shocked by Morganaʼs confession that Oz the 1st was enslaved by a human. Instantly, their anger overflowed because he was their emperor, and he had brought great changes to their realm in the past, including stopping people who intended to invade their realm, which made their lives safer and more orderly.

Morgana immediately spoke to them again. ”I understand the feelings of the three of you, but you guys canʼt do anything to help my husband. In fact, I never appear directly by his side, and I always protect him from behind the darkness.

Moreover, you guys canʼt fight me with my cultivation at the lower level of the seven divine realms, let alone if you want to face Shang Huaqiang with his cultivations at the upper level of the seven divine realms, and you will definitely die before you can even blink your eyes.

For the time being, we can only wait for the right time to save him from his hands, and you guys shouldnʼt approach the demon emperor city, especially since two of his men are in this realm now, and they will kill you immediately if they find out about your relationship with my husband.”

They naturally understood that because Zhang Fei had told them about it, so they did not refute Morganaʼs words. Nevertheless, Tharnon spoke directly to her. ”Can you take me with you? Since you have the witch abilities, Iʼm sure you can turn me into something else, and they definitely wonʼt be able to detect my presence.

Furthermore, you stated that my master reacted to my presence in this realm, so I might be able to help him regain his past memories if Iʼm living nearby, especially since the bond between us is very strong.”

”Haha.” Morgana laughed, twirling her index finger at Tharnon, who quickly transformed into a black crow, stunning Ursula and Zygoz. She pulled him to her before perching him on her shoulders, and she then said to the other two. ”Iʼll take your friend with me, and you two should hurry away from this area to hide.”

”Wait a minute!” When Morgana was about to cut through the air, Zygoz immediately stopped her. ”Can you tell us about Shang Huaqiangʼs purpose in sending your husband here to impersonate the demon emperor of this realm?”

Morgana nodded and gave them a direct explanation. ”Shang Huaqiang has sky-high ambitions, and he wants to rule the upper realms. However, there were many cultivators stronger than him there, so he needed cannon fodders to help him fight them, and the demons from this realm were one of his targets.

Thatʼs why he sent my husband here to take over this realm, and he sealed the real demon emperor in a place that only he knows. Additionally, he also ordered him to use these demons to invade other realms, and my husband was unable to refuse his order due to the slave mark in his soul. Many of their plans ended in success, and many also failed, but they still havenʼt given up.”

Ursula wanted to ask Morgana something, but she swallowed it back immediately, and she wanted to discuss with Zhang Fei first, especially since it was related to him and the Sky Jade Realm.

”Anyway, those two brats have already asked their seniors for help, and I heard that they will arrive in this realm in a few days, so you two should be more careful.” After she said that, Morgana immediately slashed the air, and she swiftly took Tharnon to leave Zygozʼs sub-dimension for the demon emperor city.

She couldnʼt wait to reunite the ancient demon beast with Oz the 1st, and she hoped that his presence could gradually restore her husbandʼs past memories.

Zygoz also immediately took Ursula out of his sub-dimension. ”We canʼt do anything right now, so I think it would be better if we go back to the forest and wait for Zhang Fei there, and we can discuss this matter with him later.”

”Yeah, youʼre right.” Ursula then looked towards the demon emperor city. ”Even though Oz the 1stʼs situation is very bad, at least he is still alive now, and this is very good news for us. I believe Zhang Fei can help us recover his past memories and free him from Shang Huaqiangʼs control, so we will go back there now and wait for him.

Moreover, Old Demon Arbeola can help you absorb the demon aura in this realm, which will increase your demon power by severalfold. If our strength increases further and the first demon lord returns to our side, then we will no longer need to be afraid of facing the people from the Xian and Tian Realms, and we will destroy them all in the future.”

”Hahaha!” Zygoz laughed at that. ”Youʼre right, I myself canʼt wait to destroy them, especially the Throne. Fortunately, Zhang Fei is on our side and has given us so much help, or else our strength will continue to be stuck, and we will have to continue to live on high alert against those people.”

Ursula nodded in agreement with that. ”We dare not imagine if Zhang Fei was sided with our enemies, and he would definitely be a terrifying scourge for us. Although he is still weaker than us, his progress is too terrifying, and his demon rank has even reached the marquis rank in just nearly three months.

Sooner or later, he will definitely surpass us all, so we are truly grateful that he is on our side. Anyway, letʼs return now, and I want to continue absorbing this demon aura.”

”All right.” Zygoz then grabbed Ursulaʼs shoulder, and he repeatedly created portals to return to the ghostveil forest.

Meanwhile, Morgana had brought Tharnon to the demon emperor city, but she forbade him from approaching Oz the 1st.

Tharnon didnʼt mind it because he was aware of the situation, and he was happy to see Oz the 1st, who was sitting in front of the high-ranking demons from a distance. Even tears kept falling from his eyes as he spoke softly. ”Thousands of years have passed since I last saw him, but he still looks the same as in the past, and his appearance is the same as before.

However, his attitude is much colder than before, and I think he acted like that on purpose because he didnʼt want to make Shang Huaqiang suspicious of him.”

”Thatʼs right.” Morgana nodded in agreement with Tharnon. ”At first, he was also cold to me, but his attitude warmed up after I reversed his condition, and I really enjoyed my time with him. However, our situation changed again because Shang Huaqiang brought him here, and I deliberately followed him here to look after him, especially since heʼs such a baby boy.”

”Hahaha!” Tharnon laughed when he heard Morgana call Oz the 1st like that. ”Heʼs actually too gentle, and he always treats all of the demons in our realm equally. However, he can also be very cruel when facing our enemies, and he single-handedly slaughters hundreds or even thousands of enemies who try to invade our realm.”

Morgana then turned to Tharnon. ”Since he has no memories of his past, I donʼt know much about his past, so I want you to tell me all about it.”

”Sure.”
