Chapter 2068: Chapter 2076: James Black Goes Missing

Brooke Black’s body shook violently.

”What? How did he suddenly lose contact?” Brooke Black held tightly onto the edge of the table to barely steady herself.

”The worst case scenario is that he has been exposed.” Old Master Black gently placed the photo on the desktop.

If James Black is exposed at this time, both Old Master Black and Brooke Black are well aware of what that means.

Those criminals have weapons, no matter how skilled James Black is, two fists can’t beat four hands, let alone bullets.

”No, our plans are foolproof, it’s unlikely that James Black got exposed.” Brooke Black shook her head repeatedly, ”There might be other circumstances that forced James Black to temporarily cut off contact with the outside world, maybe he’ll reach out to us again in two days.”

Brooke Black supported Old Master Black, ”Dad, you have to believe in James Black, he’s the most excellent guard, he’ll definitely accomplish this mission brilliantly. You have to trust, how much James loves Jane, Jane is waiting for him at home, how could he bear to let anything happen to himself?”

”Maybe you’re right.” Old Master Black coughed softly twice and echoed, ”Maybe you’re right.”

Then, with Brooke Black’s support, Old Master Black lay down on the bed, ”It’s very late, you should go rest early too. Perhaps, in two days, James will have news. Let’s not worry, James was raised by me, I know better than anyone how skilled he is. Every one I’ve raised is never incompetent.”

”Yes, Dad is right.” Brooke Black nodded, gently covering Old Master Black with the quilt, saw Old Master Black close his eyes, and then she turned to leave.

Unexpectedly, Old Master Black suddenly called her back, reminding, ”Do not let Jane and Peter Gingery know about this, especially Jane.”

”I understand.” Brooke Black nodded.

Her steps were small, and before leaving, she heard Old Master Black sigh lying in the bed.

”Today that little lass still used my account to buy clothes for James, we must not let her know.”

Brooke Black’s eyes heated up, she gently closed the door, stood at the doorway, took a big breath, and then returned to her own room.

Father Gingery was in the room working overtime processing company documents while waiting for his wife. As soon as Brooke Black returned to the room, Father Gingery noticed something was off with his wife’s mood.

The couple had been together for nearly 30 years, Father Gingery deeply loved his wife, therefore, could not possibly miss noticing her state.

”What happened?” Father Gingery asked.

Brooke Black didn’t expect to be able to hide the truth from her husband, nor did Old Master Black instruct her not to inform her husband, so she told him about James’s lack of contact for two days.

Like Brooke Black felt at first hearing the news, Father Gingery was stunned and didn’t recover for a long time.

If Old Master Black’s worst speculation is true, then it means, the Black Family this time loses not Jane Sampson, but James Black?

A fake mourning, could it turn into reality?

Father Gingery’s first reaction was, ”Don’t let that little lass Jane know, nor let Peter Gingery know, although Peter Gingery usually seems to complain a lot about James Black, he actually deeply respects his cousin.”

”Dad also gave such instructions.” Brooke Black nodded and walked over to lean on her husband’s body, her face full of fatigue, ”I just feel that our Black Family couldn’t be so unlucky, Jane came back home safely, James will surely return safely too.”
