I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 364: Chapter 363: It’s Just Plain Water

Feng Yue picked it up for a look, seeing it was the most ordinary little jar, appearing very rough, she lost interest. She felt somewhat relieved in her heart, thankful that not too much money was put in the red envelope; otherwise, it would have been a pure loss.

She didn’t care much either, looking at Beisitian with a teasing gaze, what kind of family is the Tian Family? A family of Chinese medicine practitioners, and she actually said she was going to give them medicine she made herself?

A medicine that invigorates the blood and strengthens the body, isn’t it just health supplements?

Such medicine, she absolutely would not dare to consume, what if it harmed her health!

Here, both Tian Qinghui and Su Lan unexpectedly got an extra bottle, Tian Qinghui suppressed the surprise in his eyes and carefully put the little jar away.

Beside him, Gao Ya showed a look of confusion but she understood that her husband would not engage in trickery nor do unnecessary things, so she also put the small jar away, planning to ask about it later.

Su Lan was constantly observing Tian Qinghui, the two elders of the Tian Family are like old ginger, if they didn’t show it, she absolutely could not tell anything, so she could only watch Tian Qinghui.

Therefore, she noted all of Tian Qinghui’s expressions, realizing that this medicine might not be as simple as it appeared. She remembered that when no one was around, even the in-laws would compete to have it, which was certainly not just for Beisitian’s face but truly wanted it!

Su Lan cherishingly put the little jar away, intending to ask someone at home before trying it.

The fifth son’s wife, Shao Jia Min, was also looking at the small jar in front of her. Naturally, the crude little jar gave no hint, but she also didn’t dispose of it casually. After all, it was a gift from Beisitian, and she didn’t want to embarrass the child, so she put it in her bag and thanked Beisitian.

”If Aunt Five finds it effective after drinking, you can come find me again.” Beisitian smiled slightly at Shao Jia Min, proactively showing goodwill.

Her actions left the two elders of the Tian Family and Tian Qinghui a bit stunned, looking at Beisitian with some puzzlement. Ever since they met Beisitian, they had never seen her act like this. Showing closeness to the two elders was understandable as they were her grandparents, but Shao Jia Min was just an aunt she met for the first time...

The three turned their eyes, giving Shao Jia Min an extra look.

Su Lan, sitting beside them, took note of all three people’s expressions without showing any emotion, she quietly wondered why these three were so concerned about Beisitian’s actions as a granddaughter?

Shao Jia Min didn’t expect Beisitian to say such things actively, her smile deepened, and she nodded, ”Thank you, Sitiang, I’ll hold you to it then.”

Lei Yehong coldly chuckled to herself, planning to secretly remind Shao Jia Min later to avoid drinking this unknown health supplement, to prevent it from harming her health.

Everyone here got a bottle, including the uncles, and the siblings at the small table each received a bottle too.

Tian Jun glanced at the old man holding the small jar, just in time to see the old man looking back, nodding at him almost imperceptibly, so he put the small jar away carefully.

Tian Jun, after all, is the eldest grandson of the third generation and is currently managing the family, so even for Beisitian’s convenience, Tian Heming would give him a heads-up.

However, since Tian Jun didn’t study medicine, Tian Heming didn’t explain clearly, hinting just enough. With Tian Jun’s intelligence, he would surely understand enough.

Tian Qiu and Tian Lei smiled as they put it away, while little Tian Hao treated the small jar as a toy to play with since he was young.

Tian Ying extended a fair, tender finger, disdainfully pushing the small jar away, not even willing to touch it.

Only Tian Zhi opened the lid and gently smelled it, showing a look of confusion. He was quite obsessed with Chinese medicine, and this medicine clearly would not be Western medicine, but why couldn’t he smell any hint of herbal medicine.

”Cousin, what’s in this medicine?” Tian Zhi raised his head and asked.

Beisitian smiled at the sight, mentioning a few common Chinese herbs that are known for invigorating the blood.

Tian Zhi furrowed his brow slightly, muttering, ”How could that be? These herbs are impossible to have no smell, yet I can’t smell anything!”

It just feels like clear water!

Tian Ying sneered from the side, ”It’s right that you can’t smell anything!” As she spoke, she suddenly grabbed the small jar, poured the contents into a small bowl, and it was as clear as water.

”See, how is this medicine, does medicine look like this color?” Tian Ying glanced at Beisitian.

Tian Zhi picked up a chopstick, dipped it, and put it into his mouth, discovering it was colorless and tasteless, seemingly like clear water, yet he sensed something was not right, this was definitely not just clear water!

As for what it was, he couldn’t say at all.

”How is it? What does it taste like?” Tian Ying asked, tilting her head.

”No taste...” Tian Zhi said in a daze, clearly tasteless, why did it give him such a strange feeling?

Tian Ying burst into a laugh, her voice slightly louder, ”So it’s just clear water! Cousin Sitiang, this is not right of you, if you gave me a few pieces of candy, I’d still eat some, but giving clear water, what’s that about?”

She did this to let the people at the main table hear!

As expected, Lei Yehong raised her head upon hearing this, feigning surprise, ”How could it be clear water, Sitiang wouldn’t be that thoughtless!”

Her disposition was nurtured, but it doesn’t mean she’s foolish, having been scolded by the old lady, though feeling very indignant inside, she also knew who was in charge currently and understood that while they lived separately, they still depended on the main Tian Family.

”How is it impossible, you all see, I poured it into a bowl!” Tian Ying stood up, holding the bowl, and took it to the main table.

Several uncles and aunts looked over, indeed seeing a bowl of clear water.

”Xiao Zhi tasted it just now, no taste at all. We’re a family of Chinese medicine practitioners, whether it’s medicine, just the smell can tell. Cousin Sitiang using this to fool people is really a bit too much.” Tian Ying sighed, shaking her head at Beisitian, but her eyes were full of pride.

Tian Ying studied Chinese medicine too, although she didn’t want to, Lei Yehong forced her to learn, being the only daughter in the family, if she didn’t study Chinese medicine, what if she wasn’t liked.

Unfortunately, Tian Ying had no talent in Chinese medicine, just memorizing those herbs almost made her nauseous, and she could barely remember one while forgetting another. To this day, she couldn’t even prescribe a basic formula, which was really shameful.

But even so, having grown up smelling Chinese herbs, whether this so-called medicine was medicine or not could be told just by smelling it!

With Tian Zhi’s testimony, she became even more certain.

Tian Qingjun frowned slightly, although he couldn’t understand why Beisitian would use clear water to fool people, he was very dissatisfied with his daughter revealing the matter publicly.

Tian Ying’s exposure of Beisitian offered no benefit and would only make everyone feel awkward, causing dissatisfaction from the two elders of the Tian Family. This daughter still needed some discipline, too inconsiderate!
