I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 355: Chapter 354: Worth Nurturing

Beisitian taught the technique to Tian Qinghui, but whether it was because Tian Qinghui was nervous or something else, he just couldn’t learn it, and was so anxious that he was sweating profusely.

Finally, under the helpless gazes of everyone, Dong Fengzhen stepped forward to try it and surprisingly mastered it quickly.

Tian Qinghui smiled wryly. Among his generation, he had good talent and comprehension, but he didn’t expect to be stumped by this, and for the first time felt that he was really stupid.

”Uncle, don’t worry. This technique relies on some small tricks. Once you grasp it, you learn it. But grandma is really amazing; she mastered it in one go,” Beisitian said with a smile.

Dong Fengzhen didn’t know there was such a clever technique; although it’s a small trick, it is extremely practical, especially for them as traditional Chinese medicine practitioners. In situations where a person is unconscious, this technique is simply wonderful!

Dong Fengzhen was already happy, and hearing Beisitian’s sweet words made her even happier, so she embraced Beisitian and couldn’t help laughing.

Tian Qinghui felt slightly relieved seeing his mother and Beisitian being so affectionate. He was the first to hear about the ”Mysterious Doctor,” who held a very high position in his heart, so when he suddenly found out it was Beisitian, even though she was his niece, he still felt a bit restrained talking to her.

”Beibei, since you can cure General Zhou, why not do it openly?” Tian Heming asked a very crucial question.

He had heard that Beisitian went with Military Advisor Wu, and if Military Advisor Wu openly stated his identity, neither Dean Du nor Dean Mei could turn them away, so it must be that Beisitian herself didn’t want to say it.

”Grandpa, I was just about to talk to you about this matter.” Beisitian said with a faint smile, ”My spirit was too depleted before, so I didn’t want to get involved in the Mystic Doctor’s disputes.”

Tian Heming, being experienced, immediately understood what Beisitian meant and couldn’t help but nod in appreciation, ”Beibei, though you’re young, you see things more clearly than us old folks, not fighting for power or profit, detached from the world. Child, your mindset is something even grandpa can’t match!”

Beisitian smiled serenely, ”Actually, I’m just lazy, don’t want to put too much thought into it, find it troublesome.”

Tian Heming burst into laughter at her playful words, then calmed down and said to Tian Qinghui, ”Did you understand what we were talking about just now?”

Tian Qinghui wasn’t stupid, of course he understood, and he also understood why Beisitian didn’t want to come forward, nodding, ”Dad, don’t worry, I know what to do, and I won’t say a word about Beibei’s situation!”

”Also, don’t say anything to Qingyao and your uncle for the time being. Too many people talking can cause trouble!” Tian Heming said.

Tian Qinghui nodded quickly in agreement, hesitating slightly, and said, ”If Beibei doesn’t come forward, what about General Zhou’s illness...”

This point also puzzled Tian Heming. Since Beisitian told them her identity, she planned to handle it, but she didn’t want to come forward, how would she manage?

”General Zhou’s illness is simple yet complex; he probably drank bad water leading to his current condition. Now we need to figure out the main effect of this bad water to produce the corresponding talismanic water,” Beisitian said.

Hearing Beisitian’s words left Tian Heming and the others somewhat bewildered; they were not Mystic Doctors and didn’t understand much of the professional language between them, at most knowing what talismanic water was because they were from a family of traditional Chinese medicine.

Beisitian explained talismanic water and bad water simply, then said to Tian Qinghui, ”To figure out General Zhou’s problem, it will depend on you, Uncle.”

Tian Qinghui looked solemn, ”I’ll do whatever you say.”

Beisitian asked Tian Qinghui to get some of General Zhou’s blood, not the data, but fresh blood, just a drop or two would suffice. Tian Qinghui said immediately that it wouldn’t be a problem; these were minor matters.

After Beisitian gave a rough explanation, Tian Heming spoke, ”Since Beibei doesn’t plan to show up, we naturally can’t expose you either, but we still need to borrow your Mystic Doctor title, otherwise, the deans might not allow us to act, not to mention, we’ve been helping General Zhou adjust his health for two years without any improvement; if there’s a sudden improvement after your appearance, they would surely suspect something.”

Beisitian knew he was right, but looking at Tian Heming’s demeanor, he seemed to have a plan.

”My idea is for you to maintain your mystery, and we’ll openly say you found us and entrusted us to treat General Zhou, this way it’s in the open, which is better than letting them investigate in secret,” Tian Heming said.

He had thought about it for a long time and felt he couldn’t cover it up, so he decided to say it plainly. He knew the Mystic Doctor’s status in this country was very high, and with Beisitian’s skills, she would be taken seriously, and as long as General Zhou was cured, many dissenting voices would disappear.

But there was a significant risk with this approach. Firstly, would Dean Du and the others refrain from investigating the ”Mysterious Doctor”? Secondly, if news of this spread, many people would seek Beisitian, and with so many looking, it would be hard not to leak information.

Seeing that Tian Heming was genuinely considering her, Beisitian smiled slightly, ”Keep it secret for as long as possible; I’m just avoiding trouble, not afraid of it. Besides, I’ll have to meet Tao Hailin in some time, and whether we can still keep it secret then is uncertain.”

Tian Heming and Tian Qinghui both opened their mouths wide, then exchanged wry smiles. Tao Hailin? Isn’t he the top leader of the Mystic Doctor’s faction?

But listening to Beisitian’s tone, it seemed like Tao Hailin was the one asking to see her, speaking so casually; only she could do that!

Tian Heming pondered for a while, then said, ”Alright, let’s do it this way, I’ll personally negotiate with Dean Du then.”

He knew Beisitian must be doing this to protect the Tian family from disaster, or else, judging by her demeanor, she wouldn’t appear before the world if it weren’t for this matter.

Thinking of this, he suddenly recalled something. A while ago, there was news that Military Advisor Wu was critically ill; rumors had it that a mysterious doctor appeared and cured him, leaving no name or trace and then disappeared, never to be found again...

”Beibei, about Military Advisor Wu’s illness that time...” Tian Heming thought he should ask to relieve his mind.

”Are you talking about that old gentleman’s matter?” Beisitian saw Tian Heming nod and smiled, ”I cured it.”

Tian Heming had a ”sure enough” expression and felt a bit sour in his heart. From Beisitian’s tone, obviously, Wu Yuekai held a closer place in her heart than he, her grandpa!

Tian Heming’s eyes darted around, feeling he should do something to weigh more in Beibei’s heart, can’t let an outsider surpass him!

”Right, Grandpa, Tian Hao can be well-cultivated; his spirit is very strong,” Beisitian suddenly said.
