I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 357: Chapter 356: Administering Medicine

Mei Siyuan handed over the medical report he had just done in the morning to Tian Heming, ”Doctor Tian, General Zhou’s health condition has declined again, what do you think?”

Tian Heming glanced at Dong Fengzhen, who carefully took out a small jar.

Upon seeing the small jar, both Mei Siyuan and Du Kai Bo felt more at ease, with a hint of joy in their eyes. They had watched the video repeatedly; in it, the mysterious Mystic Doctor used this seemingly ordinary jar to feed the talismanic water!

”The talismanic water cannot be injected; it must be delivered to the stomach to be effective,” Du Kai Bo reminded. Just having the talismanic water wasn’t enough, unless they called in Wei Zhongxun; perhaps there might be other methods.

Dong Fengzhen smiled, ”No need, the doctor has already taught me the technique.” As she said this, she stood up, signaling to go together to General Zhou’s room.

Du Kai Bo and Mei Siyuan stood up and followed behind the two, watching intently as Dong Fengzhen held the small jar in one hand and gently massaged General Zhou’s throat with the other.

She proceeded carefully, though not yet very skilled, wasting a little of the talismanic water. However, most of it made its way into General Zhou’s stomach.

”Such a peculiar technique, and that Mystic Doctor taught it to you so casually?” Mei Siyuan asked wide-eyed, finding the method very ingenious.

Dong Fengzhen looked at Mei Siyuan with a flash of pride in her eyes but quickly hid it and said, ”To that doctor, this technique is just a small trick; she doesn’t think much of it.” Yet you do take it very seriously.

Mei Siyuan blushed slightly at Dong Fengzhen’s words. After all, he is a thorough Western medicine practitioner. Delivering medicine into the human body requires the patient to consume it themselves or use an injection. However, the talismanic water is special and cannot be injected; it would be lethal!

After feeding General Zhou the medicine, Dong Fengzhen left the room with the three others.

”I heard the talismanic water is measured, and some spilled just now. Will it affect the efficacy?” Du Kai Bo asked.

Dong Fengzhen respected Du Kai Bo and replied, ”The doctor knew I wasn’t skilled, so she made extra talismanic water. The amount wasted is within the acceptable range and won’t affect the efficacy.”

Du Kai Bo nodded, glanced at Tian Heming, and asked, ”Doctor Tian, why does the Mystic Doctor want to treat General Zhou?”

This was because his previous suspicion of Military Advisor Wu had also wavered. He had always thought that the Mystic Doctor knew Military Advisor Wu, which was why she was so dedicated. However, she was also trying her best to treat General Zhou, which left him perplexed.

”The doctor mentioned that only by encountering all sorts of difficult and complicated diseases can one improve their skills. This is something we should also learn from,” Tian Heming said earnestly.

Indeed, Beisitian had said this, so before coming, Tian Heming had compiled a list of possible questions from Du Kai Bo and others, and answered them as prepared so as not to reveal too much.

Du Kai Bo, also a doctor and a renowned medical professor, strongly agreed with this statement. Even when he encountered such cases, he wanted to take a look.

Just like in many major hospitals, encountering rare cases, they actively communicate with patients, waiving all medical expenses, just to gain deeper understanding.

With this, Du Kai Bo and Mei Siyuan no longer had any questions and promised to afford the Tian Family the greatest convenience.

Tian Heming and Dong Fengzhen left, and Tian Qingyao and Tian Hezhen were left bewildered by the change in attitude from Du Kai Bo and Mei Siyuan towards them. Of course, it wasn’t that they were treated poorly before, but while they were previously treated well, they weren’t prioritized. Now it seemed different.

Beisitian returned to her small courtyard and told Luo Xudong about it. Luo Xudong nodded, ”If this is what you want to do, then go ahead. With the Military Advisor here, there’s no need to worry about your safety.”

His vacation was short, and he would return tomorrow, likely leaving Beisitian here alone.

”Otherwise, why don’t you move to the Military Advisor’s place?” Luo Xudong said after a long pause, still worried. Especially her being a woman in an unfamiliar place, even with the Military Advisor around, made him uneasy.

Beisitian chuckled, scratching his chin with her finger, ”You consider me a child. How can anything happen when I’m an adult?”

Luo Xudong caught her mischievous hand, its softness comforting in his grasp. He placed Beisitian’s hand on his chest and moved close to her face, ”What if I’ve gotten used to holding you to sleep at night?”

Beisitian’s cheeks flushed slightly. Her gaze softened; although shy, her beautiful eyes were fixed on Luo Xudong, ”I will come back soon... um...”

Before she finished speaking, Luo Xudong’s slightly cold lips sealed hers.

Beisitian closed her eyes slightly, completely indulging in Luo Xudong’s actions, seemingly encouraging him to be more daring and bold.

After the entanglement, the two embraced and talked again.

”I ordered some furniture; if there’s anything you don’t like, just tell Zhou Quan, and he’ll take care of it,” Luo Xudong said, taking out a small notebook from the bedside.

”This lists some of my associates in the Capital City, all above board. If you need anything while I’m not around, you can contact them. I’ve informed them in advance.”

Although Luo Xudong didn’t explain too clearly, Beisitian understood. These people were the connections Luo Xudong left in Beijing, and the fact that he told her meant they were trustworthy.

Luo Xudong left the next day, with Tian Qiu accompanying him. Beisitian stood alongside her, watching Luo Xudong enter the West Station.

As Beisitian gazed at Luo Xudong a bit dazedly, she realized that since their marriage, they hadn’t been apart, and now, with their sudden separation, even with her temperament, she couldn’t help but feel somewhat lost.

”He hasn’t even left yet, and you’re already missing him!” Tian Qiu couldn’t help but laugh at the expression on Beisitian’s face, her eyes briefly flashing with envy.

Beisitian glanced at her, ”Who is like you, having a man who cares about you, yet you still envy others.”

Tian Qiu felt both embarrassed and annoyed at being seen through but couldn’t entirely agree with her statement. Does Weng Yong’an truly care about her?

”By the way, Grandpa wants you to come home. Be honest with your sister, what’s really happening. That old man said not to have too much contact with you. He called for you just yesterday, and now he wants to see you again today. I don’t believe it’s because he misses you.”~
