I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 342: Chapter 341: Treating the Ill

Frustrated without a way out, Beisitian called Wu Yuekai, and soon a car stopped at the gate of her small courtyard, sent by Wu Yuekai to pick her up.

Beisitian was not very familiar with Capital City, but in fact, she was not very far from Wu Yuekai’s place, it only took about half an hour by car.

Wu Yuekai still lived behind these red lacquered doors, and when Beisitian arrived, there were not as many people as there were last time.

”Sir.” Beisitian was very happy to see Wu Yuekai.

Wu Yuekai was naturally glad to see Beisitian as well, but at this moment he put on a stern face, ”If you hadn’t needed help, would you still not have thought of me, old man?”

Seeing Wu Yuekai starting to throw a tantrum again, Beisitian quickly smiled and poured him a cup of tea, ”How could I, it’s just because I had things to handle that I didn’t think of coming to see you. Sir, how is General Zhou now?”

Speaking of Zhou Biwu, Wu Yuekai’s joking expression turned serious, his brow furrowed as he shook his head, ”I’m afraid it’s not looking good. I heard that the Tian Family used a piece of thousand-year-old ginseng to keep him alive, and they’re trying to find a solution.”

”Why not consult Tao Hailin?” Beisitian couldn’t help but ask.

Tao Hailin could treat Wu Yuekai, surely he could treat Zhou Biwu, and Zhou Biwu’s rank was even higher than Wu Yuekai’s.

Speaking of this, Wu Yuekai’s expression turned even stranger, ”Old Tao went to see him. According to those present at the time, after seeing General Zhou, Old Tao’s face changed significantly, he said ’impossible’ several times, then left looking extremely concerned, saying he couldn’t treat it.”

Relying on his good personal relationship with Tao Hailin, Wu Yuekai had also asked him about this, but whenever Zhou Biwu’s illness was mentioned, Tao Hailin would become grim and remain silent.

”Girl, I think you’d better not get involved in this, it’s very complicated inside.”

There was one more thing Wu Yuekai didn’t mention, perhaps Tao Hailin really couldn’t do anything, but his expression at the time showed that even if there was a way to treat it, he would have to consider carefully whether to go through with it.

How Zhou Biwu fell ill was never publicly disclosed, they only said he had been ambushed again and was severely injured and fell into a coma. Later, after several surgeries, he was out of danger at that time, but his body was very weak, so the Tian Family took over to start nursing Zhou Biwu’s body.

This nursing went on for two years, and six months ago it took a sharp turn for the worse, suddenly deteriorating.

Because the Tian Family was involved, Wu Yuekai didn’t want to say much, but he hoped Beisitian could think it over.

Beisitian pinched the bridge of her nose, it was just a matter of seeing a patient, how could it lead to so many complex issues.

But she still wanted to see, firstly because the Tian Family had helped her, and secondly, she was really curious about this illness. If she didn’t see it this time, she feared that she would regret it in the future, and she hated doing things she would regret.

”Sir, can I sneak in to take a look? If I can treat it, I will, if not, I’ll let it go. Besides, even if I do treat it, as long as it doesn’t reveal who I am, I won’t get involved in these complicated issues, what do you say?”

Seeing the hope in Beisitian’s eyes, Wu Yuekai sighed in his heart. Doctors like Beisitian, who are wholeheartedly devoted to treating patients, were already too rare.

Beisitian’s fundamental reason for going was to gain more experience with difficult and complicated cases, and also to repay the Tian Family, with no selfish intentions, her motives were truly pure!

Unwilling to refuse, Wu Yuekai said, ”Alright, I just happen to be going to pay a visit, you can go with me, but remember, you must not reveal yourself, otherwise, if you get drawn into this vortex, it will be difficult to get out!”

Beisitian was overjoyed, hurriedly agreed, and at this time someone outside came to say someone was looking for Beisitian.

Beisitian immediately knew it was Luo Xudong who had come, and Wu Yuekai let him in.

After explaining the situation to Luo Xudong, Luo Xudong nodded, ”Since you have decided, then go.”

Hearing this, Beisitian felt warm in her heart, secretly thinking that for Luo Xudong’s sake, she wouldn’t reveal herself either.

Beisitian asked for a quiet room, planning to prepare first, it wouldn’t do to go in there empty-handed.

After Beisitian left, Wu Yuekai said to Luo Xudong, ”You’ve been making a lot of moves lately.”

Luo Xudong smiled slightly, knowing he couldn’t hide it from Wu Yuekai, he hadn’t intended to anyway.

”Don’t make it too obvious, after all, the Ninth Department is not on the surface, you’re still under public scrutiny, don’t cause yourself trouble.” Wu Yuekai reminded.

Luo Xudong acknowledged, since leaving Capital City last time, he had started to reclaim some of the forces he had previously planted there, some were reclaimed, but others had ambitions too large to be reclaimed, those would have to wait for another time.

”You just returned from a mission, you’re still in the public eye, you won’t get any big assignments for at least ten years, take this time to quickly have a child and leave a legacy for yourself.” Wu Yuekai advised.

These words might not sound auspicious, but they were very realistic, for a special action department like the Ninth Department, the likelihood of accidents is very high, and if an accident does happen, once it involves related interests, there might not even be a reputation left.

Luo Xudong fell silent, ’Zhou Jiren’ was a major task, tasks like that were rare, and with thirteen people in the General Staff Department, bigger tasks might not fall to him, if it were before he would have found it boring, but since Beisitian came along, he found having ten years of leisure was a good thing.

However, Luo Xudong hadn’t considered the matter of having children, perhaps he should discuss it with Sitiang when he returned?

The thought of having a child with Beisitian of their own brought a warm feeling to Luo Xudong’s heart, making his small family more complete.
