I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 316: Chapter 315: Guzheng Duel

She gave Beisitian a simple score, and yet she could make changes to the original!

The level of this Guzheng score for ”Xiyun” is only around three or four, because she was afraid it would be too difficult for Beisitian and she wouldn’t dare to go on stage. But reality gave her a slap in the face, as Beisitian actually made changes to the original.

She had a Guzheng score in her hand, and the effect of playing this score was naturally different. Beisitian’s alterations and her score were similar, so Li Ying guessed that Beisitian must have practiced this piece!

The program list isn’t a secret. Once it’s drafted, it’s sent to all the companies and departments. Beisitian knew ahead of time and practiced specifically, definitely guessing that she would make things difficult for her at the gala!

Other than this possibility, Li Ying couldn’t think of any others. To say Beisitian is particularly talented and changes it herself? That’s impossible. She’s from the countryside, without formal, professional study and training, without high-level teachers, just relying on a hobby. How could her level compare to hers!

Hmph, that’s fine too. If her level was too low, others would say her victory was unconvincing!

Next, it’s the special segment, and she should be better now. She’s going to thoroughly defeat Beisitian in this segment.

Thinking about how Beisitian had previously shone, she smirked secretly. It was nothing more than making a wedding dress for her. If Beisitian was just a useless military wife, there wouldn’t be any fun. Now that Beisitian has some skill, her victory would shine even brighter.

Moreover, in this special segment, she had added another element, targeting the teacher leader, because Grandpa Sun secretly told her the teacher leader was also a calligrapher, known to have authority in the field.

Grandpa Sun knew she also studied calligraphy and advised her to arrange a similar display opportunity. If she could catch the teacher leader’s attention and receive a few comments from him, Li Ying’s entire image would be elevated.

Doing things like playing instruments and singing, even if one becomes outstanding, many would still see it as mere entertainment. But calligraphy is different; if one gains fame, the person’s depth would be different.

With Sun Guicai’s reminder, Li Ying naturally racked her brains, realizing the gala always had an interactive segment every year. She put her efforts here, persuading Yuan Guiling to arrange this interactive segment accordingly.

Since it’s interactive, it naturally needs audience participation. Among these people, Beisitian must be included. With this opportunity, not only can she suppress her, but also show off in front of the teacher leader, killing two birds with one stone.

Checking the time, it was almost the interactive segment. Li Ying stood up from the sofa and carefully touched up her makeup in front of the mirror. Seeing a flawless beautiful face, she smiled contently.

”Xiao Ying, are you okay now?” Li Na walked in, holding a cup of hot water.

Li Ying turned back and smiled, ”Much better, I’m not dizzy anymore. I’m about to go on stage, I can’t delay it no matter what. Thank you, Nana~”

Li Na laughed and said, ”Why be polite with me? We’re all waiting for you to properly teach that undisciplined family a lesson!”

Li Ying smiled slightly, ”We’re communicating with each other. It’s not about teaching lessons. The purpose of interaction is to promote mutual learning. Alright, Nana, I’m going on stage.”

The host at the front had announced the interactive program.

The organizers prepared some small games, all pair-interaction games, such as ’Answer Irrelevantly’. One person asks a question, and the other cannot answer what’s related, answering quickly before the referee hits a small bell.

This mainly tests mutual reaction ability.

The winner can request a talent show from the losing side. The winner of the talent show can receive a small gift prepared by the art troupe.

The art troupe sent three people on stage, one from each department below, a person selected by the company, and a family member must be selected.

The ones from the art troupe going on stage were Li Ying, Zou Hong, and Zhao Tianyu.

Zhao Tianyu was one of the few male literary soldiers in the art troupe, and he partnered with the company-selected person.

The talent show isn’t limited; anything can be proposed.

After the host announced it on stage, Li Ying and the other two went up. Since it’s a talent show, among the military wives, needless to say, all voted for Beisitian.

Some of these military wives from the Twenty-fifth Group got along well with Li Ying. Li Ying also gave them benefits to vote for Beisitian. Since it was just a performance, there wouldn’t be any issues, and they were glad to agree. But looking at the situation, they didn’t need to step up and still got things for free.

Beisitian knew this segment was prepared for her. No matter what, she had to go up, so she walked up confidently.

Chosen from the company was a vice sergeant from the Thirty-sixth Group, Company 6, and the department also selected a woman in her thirties.

With six people standing on stage, Li Ying moved a little closer to Beisitian’s side, and seeing this, Zou Hong naturally went to the opposite of the department person.

Seeing this, Beisitian smiled at Li Ying.

Seeing that smile, Li Ying found it particularly irritating, but in public, she could only perform better, so she showed an even sweeter smile and called out, ”Sister-in-law~”

Beisitian didn’t respond, turned her gaze to the host, waiting for her to say start.

Anyway, whether she or Li Ying wins or loses, it’s all the same.

The host announced the start, with interactive audience members asking questions first, asking some entertaining questions like what clothes you’re wearing today, what color is your hair, just needing unrelated answers.

Beisitian just finished asking, and before the art troupe members could speak, the little bell was rung, making the three of them turn their eyes to the referee, are you sure you didn’t do that on purpose?

The referee with a cold face, he would ring it the same way for the interactive audience later.

”Okay, now the three-person interactive group proposes the talent show content.”

The department’s female officer proposed singing, but when it came to singing, how could she compare with the art troupe’s literary soldiers? Naturally, she was defeated. The company’s vice sergeant also chose singing, smiling bitterly, they train every day, what artistic talent could they display.

Finally, it was down to Beisitian and Li Ying.

”Sister-in-law, you decide.” Li Ying estimated she would propose playing the flute, and if it was that, she wouldn’t be afraid.

”Guzheng, then.” Beisitian said calmly.

Li Ying was stunned. Although she also wanted to compete in Guzheng, she hadn’t expected Beisitian to propose it actively.

The host and the audience below were generally surprised. Everyone knew that in terms of Guzheng, Li Ying was well-known in the entire base. For her to challenge the Guzheng, she was truly overestimating herself. This should be exciting!

Many people became interested.
