I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 331: Chapter 330: Lingering at the Door

Because of their conversation, the New Year goods they brought back weren’t unpacked. The next day, when Mrs. Qin opened them, she was startled. They had brought back two bottles of Wuliangye and two bottles of Moutai, both of which are said to be high-quality liquors.

When she saw all the large and small bags of food and clothing, Mrs. Qin’s eyes were dazzled.

”Mom, this clothing is for you. Try it on and see if it fits?” Beisitian took out a dark red Tang suit with black patterns and compared it with Mrs. Qin.

Mrs. Qin liked the clothing at first sight. It wasn’t too flashy nor too plain. She quickly tried on the top, and immediately it looked different on her.

”Looks good,” Luo Anguo said sincerely, seeing Mrs. Qin in the clothing as he walked in.

”Dad, this is for you.” Beisitian took out another Tang suit, similar in style but for men.

These were for them to wear during the New Year.

Luo Anguo also liked this kind of clothing. It looked decent and nice when worn. He tried it on and couldn’t stop smiling.

Then Beisitian took out a few more outfits for their everyday wear, and the couple couldn’t stop smiling.

Luo Xuping was watching eagerly from the side, wondering if there was anything for him.

Seeing Luo Xuping’s puppy-dog eyes, Beisitian burst out laughing, ”Ping’an’s is here!”

She had bought a dark blue cotton-padded jacket for Luo Xuping, which made him look energetic and adorable. Luo Xuping loved it a lot.

She similarly bought several outfits for him to switch around.

Luo Xudong watched the harmony in the family and had a faint smile on his face, a smile full of warmth and contentment.

Taking the opportunity of trying on clothes for Luo Xuping, Beisitian asked, ”Why is Ping’an being so well-behaved today?”

As soon as Luo Xuping heard this, he couldn’t hold it in anymore and immediately expressed his anxieties and grievances.

Upon hearing it, Beisitian realized this child lacked a sense of security and gave a gentle smile, ”With another big brother, there’s another person to love Ping’an.”

”Really?” Luo Xuping tilted his head and asked.

”Really.”

”Then why does Mom let Big Brother and Sister sleep together but not let me and Sister sleep together?” Luo Xuping didn’t understand, so he asked.

Not only was he not allowed to sleep in the same room with his sister, but now he wasn’t even allowed to sleep in the same room with his parents. The little guy felt aggrieved.

Beisitian pursed her lips, speechless. Children always ask questions that are hard to answer.

She organized her words and said, ”Because I’m married to your brother, and when Ping’an grows up and gets a wife, someone will sleep with Ping’an.”

”Then I and Sister can be...”

Before Luo Xuping could finish his sentence, Luo Xudong lifted the curtain and walked in, looking sternly at him, ”Still not going to sleep!”

Luo Xuping pouted. Who said having another big brother meant having another person to love him? This man was so fierce...

Although Luo Xuping was defiant, he was also quite afraid of his big brother, Luo Xudong. Reluctantly, he pulled his quilt over and said to Beisitian, ”I have already brushed my teeth.”

He didn’t know when it started, but Beisitian would make him brush his teeth before going to sleep every night.

The next morning, when Beisitian woke up, Luo Xudong was indeed no longer beside her. He had gone running again. The difference was that Luo Xuping was no longer in the bed.

Seeing Mrs. Qin busy, Beisitian asked where Ping’an had gone.

”He was taken out for a run by Xudong,” Mrs. Qin said with a smile.

Beisitian shook her head with a smirk. Last night she had asked Luo Xudong why he was so hard on Luo Xuping, and he said boys shouldn’t be spoiled; just talking reason isn’t enough; they have to be put through their paces.

At that moment, Luo Xuping was near tears following the tall figure ahead of him. He had been looking forward to sleeping until noon during the holiday, but before six o’clock someone had dragged him out of the cozy bed!

Zhuangzhuang was jogging alongside them, feeling freer after returning to the village. However, if it had to choose between Beisitian and the village, it would still choose Beisitian.

Luo Xudong usually ran a few laps around the main road to count as exercise. Otherwise, it wouldn’t count as any exercise. But because he was with Luo Xuping, he only ran a single lap.

Luo Xuping stopped, panting, his hands on his knees.

”You’re already out of breath after this short distance? Your stamina’s too poor if you think you can surpass me,” Luo Xudong said coolly.

Luo Xuping was defiant but too exhausted to speak and could only catch his breath. Little did he know this was just the beginning of his nightmare, which would last until Luo Xudong left.

Nonetheless, being provoked by Luo Xudong, a fierce determination ignited inside little Ping’an’s heart. He definitely aspired to surpass him in the future!

Luo Xudong saw the intense fire burning in his eyes and nodded in satisfaction. Raising kids for men and women is completely different; that’s why both parents are needed; different methods bring different impacts.

Because of the exercise, Luo Xuping ate an extra bowl of porridge when he returned, which surprised Mrs. Qin. Eating more was a good thing; you shouldn’t worry about kids getting fat when they’re young.

Liu Chunyu knew Beisitian was back, so she ran over the next day. Seeing Beisitian, she felt a strong sense of affection and couldn’t resist stepping forward to give her a hug, which surprised Beisitian a bit.

”This is a gift for you.” Liu Chunyu gave a pair of earrings to Beisitian.

The earrings had a white pearl set in a golden petal. One glance and Beisitian was surprised; the pearl wasn’t real, but the golden petal was made of real gold. Such earrings cost quite a bit.

Liu Chunyu was a bit shy, ”Only the edges are gold...”

Beisitian smiled genuinely, ”I really like them. Thank you, Chunyu.”

”Don’t be so formal with me. You’re the daughter of my boss; I have to treat you well!” Liu Chunyu joked.

At the end of the year, Uncle Luo gave her a one-hundred-yuan bonus, which had surprised her. Hearing that Beisitian was coming back, she wanted to reciprocate in some way, but she didn’t have much money, so she bought these earrings.

”I also have a gift for you.” Beisitian said with a smile and took out a set of clothes from the bag behind her.

Liu Chunyu exclaimed with surprise, ”There’s something for me too?”

Beisitian unfolded it, and sure enough, it was a Dacron plaid dress.

Dacron was quite expensive there, but in Capital City, it wasn’t priced this high, although the style was new.

Liu Chunyu immediately liked the dress at first glance. Even though it was winter, she wanted to go home and try it on!

Liu Chunyu stayed for a while before preparing to leave. Beisitian and the others had just come back, so they probably needed time to tidy up. Who knew that as soon as she stepped out, she saw Liu Chunshu pacing outside with something in his hand, muttering to himself.

”Brother, what are you doing?” Liu Chunyu asked, speechless.

Liu Chunshu was startled when someone suddenly came out. Then he saw Beisitian behind her and became flustered. After a long pause, he hurriedly handed over the things in his hand, ”Uh, Little Tian’er, this, this is for you!”
