Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

96: Chapter 96 Opening Up Air Routes, Electronic JammingBang. The small fishing boat skipped like a stone, drifting for half a nautical mile before finally landing on the water and splashing up a huge spray.

”Hiss! What a G-force.” Jiang Chen was doused by the seawater, feeling refreshed.

If it hadn’t been for the carbon-9 coating on the boat, the hull would likely have fallen apart the moment that missile was fired.

[pearl river 888! Are you okay!] At that moment, the Weilong Destroyer rushed over.

The moment the mortar fired, Captain Wei Changcheng knew something was wrong and immediately ordered the assault boats to rush over.

But soon, he saw the small fishing boat fire a missile directly, hitting an assault boat. And it itself had drifted forward half a nautical mile.

Captain Wei Changcheng quickly ordered the assault boats to go and rescue him, wanting to see if Jiang Chen was still in one piece.

[Reporting to the Captain, I am fine. That ghost ship has been taken out.] Jiang Chen steered the pearl river 888 back to the area.

On the sea surface, the shattered assault boat and Dujier’s body were nowhere to be found.

The good news was that the vanilla on the sea was dissipating at a speed visible to the naked eye, and the radar was recovering and recalibrating.

[Manager Zhang, the warship’s radar has recovered; we can prepare to leave.] Captain Wei Changcheng reported to Zhang Dayong.

Zhang Dayong lay on the deck, watching the interaction between the pearl river 888 and the assault boats, completely dumbfounded.

”Was that a missile fired just now?”

”It seems so. It was so fast, it just wiped out that ghost pirate’s ship.”

His subordinates were also lying on the deck the whole time. They had seen with their own eyes that Dujier’s assault boat was flickering back and forth, which made everyone’s hair stand on end.

And when the opponent flickered for the third time, a burst of flame shot out from the tail of the pearl river 888.

If it had been a mortar shell, it should have followed a parabolic arc with a fixed trajectory. But the one that hit just now clearly didn’t have a fixed trajectory; it was the famous Qian Xuesen missile trajectory, with an unpredictable movement curve.

”Gulp.” Zhang Dayong swallowed hard, muttering to himself, ”Is the Ministry of Oceans that rich? Installing ship-borne missiles on a small fishing boat?”

[Manager Zhang? Manager Zhang? Hurry up and leave; there are indigenous boats rushing over from behind.] Captain Wei Changcheng issued an urgent order.

Zhang Dayong scrambled to his feet. In the distance, sure enough, indigenous boats were rushing over, and their roars could be faintly heard.

”The god that descended from the heavens!” ”You killed our god that descended from the heavens, pay with your lives!” Those people were driving their boats like madmen, rushing towards them.

The cargo ship hurriedly followed the warship away, while the pearl river 888 was at the very back.

Seeing that the indigenous boats were about to catch up, Jiang Chen picked up a megaphone and shouted at them, [FUXK YOU!]

After saying that, he also steered the small fishing boat away.

Seeing that they couldn’t catch up, the indigenous boats immediately began communicating with each other.

”What did that person say just now?” ”I went to college, I know, he was speaking the language of the United States.” ”Understood! It’s someone from the United States!” ”Damn it! Our god that descended from the heavens was actually blown up by the United States!” ”Ah!! Our god that descended from the heavens!” ”I will never share the same sky with the United States!”

The group of indigenous people cursed and swore. Without the obstruction of the vanilla sea, the fleet soon left the Flores Sea.

When the sun was about to rise, the fleet appeared on the Banda Sea. They were already very close to Darwin City and would arrive around the afternoon. Everyone breathed a slight sigh of relief. They were finally about to leave the waters of Indonesia.

[Jiang Chen! That missile you fired was too wasteful; it was just a small pirate, and you blew away one hundred million in an instant.] The voice of Captain Wei Changcheng came from the Weilong Destroyer.

Although there were missiles on the warship, he usually couldn’t bear to use them. If it weren’t for encountering immense danger, he wouldn’t use them either. After all, they cost one hundred million each.

Jiang Chen was currently half-lying in the cockpit, and Cuihua was giving him a massage. Last time, when he was bored, he had Cuihua self-learn a set of massage programming based on the techniques of masseurs from the streets. Now that it was activated, she immediately began to massage him. It had to be said that, with her silicone material, her technique was quite skilled.

Hearing Captain Wei Changcheng’s words, Jiang Chen smiled and replied, [One hundred million to take out an Indonesian legend; I think it’s worth it. This isn’t just about taking out a pirate, but opening up a smooth shipping route.] [It will be much safer for other cargo ships to pass through next time.] [If we had to pay tribute every time, and did it a few more times, it would cost far more than one hundred million.]

After listening, Captain Wei Changcheng nodded in deep agreement: [That makes sense. You young people are quick and ruthless.]

After all, he was older and had more things to consider. He had to consider cost-effectiveness and hit rates. Jiang Chen was the one who made the decisive move, hitting the target in one shot.

... Meanwhile, above the Banda Sea, on the northwest side of Australia. This was a necessary sea area for entering Australia from Indonesia.

An airborne early warning aircraft was patrolling the sky. This was a hawk e-2, dispatched by the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. Although the USS Nimitz carrier strike group was currently in the waters east of Australia, it didn’t affect them at all in flying the early warning aircraft over here to patrol.

[General Nimitz, this is hawk e-2 number 7. We have observed a cargo fleet from the Dragon Country, escorted by only one destroyer.] The early warning aircraft quickly detected the approaching Weilong Destroyer.

On the USS Nimitz, General Nimitz gave a cold, faint smile. Recently, the Dragon Country’s carrier strike groups had been tied up, either at the Antarctic continent or in the Pacific Ocean and Somalia. There were hardly any cargo ships with escorts. Some cargo ships were completely exposed the whole way, without any warships to escort them.

The reason those pirates didn’t cause trouble was because the aircraft carriers of the United States were patrolling nearby. [They just love to hitch a ride on our carrier’s presence; go give them some fun.] Nimitz said with some annoyance.

They were the ones patrolling, yet it was these cargo ships from the Dragon Country that were getting the benefits. How could he let them arrive in Australia safely?

[Received, hawk e-2 number 7 received.] The pilot of the hawk e-2 understood Nimitz’s order immediately upon hearing it. He steered the hawk e-2 and dove down, arriving in the sky less than fifty nautical miles from the cargo fleet. Then, he launched electronic information interference.

”Just spin around in this Banda Sea for a day.” The blonde man on the hawk e-2 sneered. The hawk e-2 came with the world’s most advanced electronic interference system; even if the Shenglong wanted to counterattack, it would take some time.

And this cargo fleet didn’t have an early warning aircraft to counter electronic information interference at all. Once the opponent’s radar system was jammed, they would lose their course. He hovered there triumphantly, continuously launching electronic information interference at the cargo fleet.

Ten minutes later, the cargo fleet indeed stopped. They seemed to be checking their radar. ”Hehe...” The man on the hawk e-2 was grinning. Just then, a bolt of lightning flashed across the sky and struck the hawk e-2 number 7. The early warning aircraft plummeted toward the sea. [Oh! F*ck.] [SOS!]
