Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

67: Chapter 67 Shipboard Entry Ceremony, Battalion-Level Organization”Welcome, Comrade Jiang Chen!”

”From today on, you and the pearl river 888 are officially incorporated into the formation of our country’s aircraft carrier, Dragon Cry!”

”Next, please take the oath!”

On the deck of the Dragon Cry.

Long Xiaotian, with nine stars on his shoulders, stood tall and straight, dressed in his white naval uniform, his voice resonant and clear.

And behind him!

Stood a row of non-commissioned officers in navy blue and blue uniforms.

These uniforms, with their different colors, represented different military ranks and positions.

Among them, white was the most prestigious.

Jiang Chen stepped forward and took his oath facing the blue sky and white clouds.

”I, Jiang Chen.”

”Today!”

”To the nation!”

”To the Ministry of Oceans!”

”To the Dragon Cry!”

”To Commander Long Xiaotian... I take this oath!”

”I shall be loyal to the nation, loyal to the Ministry of Oceans, and resolutely execute the missions of the aircraft carrier commander.”

”I shall bring the dove of peace for the nation and for the oceans!”

”As long as I am here, the ship remains!”

The simple oath-taking concluded.

Long Xiaotian stepped forward and handed a small, military-green booklet to Jiang Chen.

”That’s it. This is your establishment.”

”Keep it safe.”

Long Xiaotian looked at Jiang Chen with a smile.

Young people these days are truly becoming more and more promising.

Not even thirty years old, and he was already able to get multiple departments to jointly recommend him for incorporation into the aircraft carrier formation.

He had originally wondered if this newcomer had some sort of background.

It wasn’t until he saw Jiang Chen’s file that he realized this young man, who had previously been chased by a Philippines warship while out fishing, was actually the prized treasure of Longke Academy!

Just looking at those rows of achievements was enough to make the bigwigs at the Naval Department Base fight over him.

No wonder Commander Tang Ze kept showing off to him, saying that Dragon Soul and Dragon God had almost come to blows trying to get the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals mechs from Longke Academy.

In the end, the fact that the person in charge of the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals project could land on his Dragon Cry was all thanks to Commander Tang Ze’s efforts!

After all!

It pays to be close to the source.

In the future, if Longke Academy had any good mechs, they might prioritize providing them to the Dragon Cry.

”Understood, Commander!”

Jiang Chen happily accepted it.

He opened it and saw what was written inside.

The pearl river 888 is a member of the Dragon Cry aircraft carrier formation.

Captain: Jiang Chen.

Rank: Battalion-level combat unit!

Personnel: One person.

”Commander, my small fishing boat only has one person. Is that too few? Can I recruit more people?”

Jiang Chen asked.

He had promised the Jindai Bird that he would secure a company-level establishment for her.

Not only did he want to include the Jindai Bird in the pearl river 888, but he also planned to include Tie Zhu and Cuihua.

For one, it could strengthen the small fishing boat’s combat capabilities.

Secondly, he could train the mech formation.

”As a battalion-level unit, you have the right to recommend personnel. As long as they are qualified, I will have the staff approve it.”

”Of course, as the person in charge of the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals project, you are skilled with mechs, so I suggest you prioritize recommending the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals; the approval rate will be higher.”

Long Xiaotian said, nudging him subtly.

Heavenly Soldiers and Generals?

Good grief, Jiang Chen understood immediately.

He smiled and pointed at the Jindai Bird nearby, saying, ”Look at this robotic bird of mine. Can it pass the review?”

”A robotic bird?”

Long Xiaotian walked over, curious.

When Jiang Chen brought this large bird on board earlier, he had been wondering if it was the latest robotic bird developed by Longke Academy.

But the bird was so realistic that he was a bit skeptical.

Now that Jiang Chen had said that, he couldn’t help but step forward and pluck a feather from the Jindai Bird.

Squawk!

The Jindai Bird was furious, turned its head, and flew away.

Dammit, this life is impossible!

It just had one feather plucked, and now another one? In a few days, wouldn’t it become a bald bird?

If this is what a professional establishment is like, I don’t want it!

”Uh?”

Long Xiaotian stared dumbfounded at the bird flying away, the feather in his hand still warm.

Jiang Chen explained awkwardly, ”It might have triggered her defense system, but don’t worry, she will return on her own.”

”Is that so? That’s good. It’s quite realistic.”

Long Xiaotian looked at the feather in his hand; it was lifelike, exactly the same as a real bird’s feather.

He couldn’t help but silently marvel at how Longke Academy’s research and development in mechs was getting better and better; to think they could make a robotic bird to this degree of realism.

”So, can my bird be included in the establishment of the pearl river 888?”

Jiang Chen asked with a smile.

”Yes. Apart from that, your pearl river 888 can have a maximum of five established positions.”

Long Xiaotian said. A normal battalion-level destroyer would have at least a hundred people, but the pearl river 888 was not large, after all. Having five established positions was already a lot; any more would likely be difficult to accommodate.

”Great!”

Jiang Chen also submitted the identification numbers for Tie Zhu and Cuihua to Long Xiaotian.

Including them in the establishment of the pearl river 888.

”And you haven’t decided on the last position yet, is that right?”

Long Xiaotian asked.

Jiang Chen nodded. The Jindai Bird could fly and was A-sequence, with impressive combat power.

Tie Zhu and Cuihua were both Heavenly General-level mechs, with combat power comparable to the A-sequence.

As for the last spot.

He hadn’t thought it through yet.

He would wait until he returned to Longke Academy to train with the mechs for a while and see if there were any suitable mech models.

”Fine. If you don’t have any ideas, I can help you recommend some suitable candidates.”

”For example, Gene Warriors or the like.”

Long Xiaotian recommended some Gene Warriors from the Dragon Group to Jiang Chen.

These Gene Warriors had all had their bodies enhanced, and their combat power was fierce.

Some!

Could even bend steel with their bare hands.

Their combat power was comparable to B-sequence superhumans.

”I won’t consider it for now. I’ll apply for the last spot after some time.”

Jiang Chen looked at the profiles of these Gene Warriors. Although they were powerful, he felt there was still a gap compared to Tie Zhu and Cuihua.

Long Xiaotian chuckled and shook his head!

This kid actually looked down on B-sequence Gene Warriors?

There were higher-sequence Gene Warriors, of course.

However!

Those Gene Warriors were on the same level as him.

At the very least, A-sequence.

But these people wouldn’t go to a small fishing boat.

”Fine, you can take your time considering it!”

”I’ve finished covering the basics. Do you have any other questions?”

Long Xiaotian was not in a rush and asked kindly.

Jiang Chen thought for a moment.

Then he asked a question that suddenly made the scene go quiet.

”Excuse me, Commander, I have a friend. What does he need to do to become an aircraft carrier commander?”

Long Xiaotian was stunned upon hearing this.

He looked at Jiang Chen somewhat strangely.

An aircraft carrier commander?

Good kid!

He just joined the ship, and he’s already eyeing my position?
