Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

83: Chapter 83 Passing on the Torch: Energy DeviceWatching Jiang Chen leave, Princess Yingya Waner looked like she still wanted more.

After all, who could resist such an intelligent mechanical giant bird?

It was a pity that the anti-piracy coalition had already arrived.

Jiang Chen steered his small fishing boat and left the sea area, following the Pterosaur Cruiser.

Judging by the direction they were heading, it seemed they were going toward the Somalia area.

”pearl river 888, not bad! To think you could single-handedly fight off so many pirates.”

”You’ll probably be awarded a special merit when you get back.”

The captain of the Pterosaur Cruiser sent a radio message to Jiang Chen with a tone of envy.

This kid hadn’t been in the fleet for long, yet he had already earned a first-class merit and now a special merit; it was simply mind-numbing.

Why couldn’t his Pterosaur Cruiser ever run into pirates?

”Captain, is it possible that your ship is so massive that the pirates hide from afar the moment they see you?” Jiang Chen chuckled.

The only reason his own small fishing boat kept running into so many pirates and getting into direct confrontations was because these pirates thought they could take him on.

The Pterosaur Cruiser, on the other hand, was different. Pirates would run away early just by catching a glimpse of it. How could they ever easily encounter opportunities for military honors?

”Haha! That makes a lot of sense.” The captain of the Pterosaur Cruiser laughed. He asked, ”By the way, are you heading to Somalia? If so, I can provide escort for you along the way.”

”No, I plan to head north to the Arabian Sea.” Jiang Chen shook his head. He intended to head north first, and if there was still time, he would go south later.

”Alright! Then be careful. There is a United States aircraft carrier to the north, so don’t get too close.” The Pterosaur Cruiser warned.

”Understood.” Jiang Chen nodded. The northern area spanned several thousand nautical miles, so it wasn’t that easy to run into a United States aircraft carrier.

The other two United States aircraft carriers were in Somalia, and with the Dragon Cry fleet also there, those sides were more likely to encounter each other.

After they parted ways, Jiang Chen headed north. Another important reason he wanted to go to the Arabian Sea was that Dubai was to the north, where he could rest a bit after nightfall.

The Somalia area, on the other hand, was too chaotic, with no prosperous cities nearby.

After sailing for seven or eight hours, pearl river 888 was moving slowly and aimlessly across the Arabian Sea. Before he knew it, he had reached about ten degrees north latitude.

In this vicinity, quite a few large oil-laden cargo ships began to appear. These cargo ships were surrounded by barbed wire and electric fences, and there were even armed personnel patrolling the decks.

Clearly, these cargo ships were on alert for pirates that could appear at any moment. Many of the cargo ships were astonished to see a small fishing boat drifting around here.

”What’s the situation? A fishing boat coming here to fish in such a dangerous place?” ”Be careful, you might not even get to keep your underwear.” Those people sneered.

But after getting closer, seeing the mortar and Gatling gun on the fishing boat, they wiped the smiles off their faces. ”Fishing boats are installing mortars now?” ”Do you have to be so competitive!”

Jiang Chen sat on the boat, fishing quietly. Ignoring their wails, he thought to himself that his small fishing boat, with only a mortar and a Gatling gun, lacked sufficient firepower.

It had taken nearly half an hour just to fight off fifty or so pirates. He even had to use both his feet to beat them into submission. If he encountered a hundred pirates next time, wouldn’t it take an hour?

This wouldn’t do. He had to upgrade the small fishing boat later. He would strive to get some more powerful firepower for it.

Just as Jiang Chen was contemplating, the system, which had been silent for a long time, finally gave a notification. [Host, please note, you have caught a big haul. Retrieve the net immediately!]

Jiang Chen jolted. He had waited for nearly ten hours. Finally, he had caught something. Jiang Chen quickly pulled in the net. This time, the net was quite heavy; as he pulled, the entire boat actually sank down a little.

”What the hell, what is so heavy?” Jiang Chen was, after all, an S-sequence individual. With a heave, a precision device the size of a refrigerator landed on the fishing boat with a thud.

”Damn it! This weighs at least a ton, right?” Jiang Chen sensed its weight; the mass was so great that the fishing boat sank by a quarter.

He examined the precision device. It was the size of a refrigerator, rectangular, and covered in wheels, gears, machinery, and circuits, looking extremely complex.

[Xinhuo Xiangchuan Energy Device: The core device for Controlled Nuclear Fusion. When combined with magnetic confinement experimental procedures, under perfect conditions, it can generate a fusion state of 100 million degrees for 16,000 minutes.]

At this moment, the system provided an explanation. A stream of knowledge regarding twenty-three high-end disciplines, including energy science, Controlled Nuclear Fusion, magnetic field science, mechanics, electrical engineering, and ultra-high voltage, flooded into Jiang Chen’s brain.

After digesting it slightly, his expression turned to one of great joy. Controlled Nuclear Fusion! It was actually an energy device for Controlled Nuclear Fusion!

”Our country’s current Controlled Nuclear Fusion can only manage 100 million degrees for 1,000 seconds, which is about 16 minutes.” ”But this Xinhuo Xiangchuan Energy Device can actually achieve 1,000 times the current standard, which is 16,000 minutes!”

Jiang Chen did a rough calculation, and his eyes lit up. This wasn’t just a 1,000-fold benefit; it was a symbol of commercialization.

If it were only 16 minutes, it could only stay in the laboratory and couldn’t be popularized for the general public, meaning it couldn’t be commercialized or brought to the masses.

But this Xinhuo Xiangchuan Energy Device expanded the entire fusion process by 1,000 times. Then! Costs would drop, energy would increase, and it would be sufficient for commercialization!

Once commercialized, the entire society’s energy supply could be greatly improved. Energy prices would also drop. Issues like power outages, internet blackouts, or electricity shortages would never happen again!

In short, Mom would never have to worry about the refrigerator, the TV, or playing games consuming too much electricity again!

”Life No. 1 Serum!” ”Xinhuo Xiangchuan Energy Device!” ”These are all high technologies that can benefit the general public and have broad social value.”

”I must take them back to Longke Academy immediately and strive to popularize these two high technologies throughout society as soon as possible.” Jiang Chen thought excitedly.

A society where average life expectancy increases by thirty years and energy is limitless—what kind of prosperity would that be! Jiang Chen turned pearl river 888 around and started heading south to return to the country.

... Meanwhile, three hundred nautical miles away, the USS Lincoln was in that position. They had already mined over a dozen tons of Brimstone. They had almost hollowed out the entire small island and were currently on their way back in triumph.

”I really don’t know what the Lord of the Black Robe wants with these stones.” Looking at the large pile of strange stones on the deck, Lincoln shook his head secretly.

”The behavior of the Lord of the Black Robe is hard to guess. A few days ago, he even had the commander of the USS Washington removed from his post; I don’t know what he is thinking.” The aide next to him echoed.

Lincoln smiled slightly. ”Actually, I do know about that.” ”A while ago, didn’t the Ministry of Science and Technology capture a UFO?” ”It is said to be very powerful and full of alien high technology.”

”There has been progress recently; it seems they can start communicating with it now.” ”However, that thing seems quite interested in aircraft carriers.” ”So, the Ministry of Science and Technology has been giving it some training on aircraft carriers recently.”
