Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

94: Chapter 94 The Pirate King, The Sea of Vanilla”The Pirate King?”

”I know this one. I, Captain Jack, am the man destined to become the Pirate King!”

The subordinate’s eyes lit up, and he immediately declared loudly.

”...”

Zhang Dayong shook his head. ”That’s not it. It’s about local Indonesian mythology.”

”In Indonesia, there’s a popular ancient profession known as a Sorcerer.”

”It is said that they possess mysterious arts that can place curses on people, such as Indonesian magic oil.”

”As long as you apply it to someone, it can make the person you applied it to fall hopelessly in love with you.”

”Or take vanilla, for example. If you throw it on the ground or on the sea, as long as you come into contact with it, you will lose your way.”

”Isn’t that amazing?”

Zhang Dayong asked with a smile.

The subordinate asked, ”What does this have to do with the Pirate King?”

”A Sorcerer is an ancient profession, but in modern times, it has naturally evolved.”

”It is said that there is a very powerful Sorcerer in Indonesia who became a pirate. Whenever he appears, any cargo ship passing by must pay tribute.”

”Even warships have to tremble or take a detour.”

”Over time, this Sorcerer came to be known as the Pirate King.”

As Zhang Dayong said this, his eyes narrowed slightly.

Once, when he was following a cargo ship along the Java Sea in Indonesia on his way to Australia, he encountered this Pirate King.

At that time, the opponent appeared on the deck, and a thick fog rose over the sea, terrifying everyone on the cargo ship.

When the destroyer arrived, the man disappeared again.

If it weren’t for the fact that many people saw a man dressed like a pirate standing on the deck at the time, Zhang Dayong would have thought he had seen a ghost!

”Boss Zhang, why do I feel like the one you’re talking about is even scarier than the pirates in Somalia?”

The subordinate regretted asking!

After hearing the story about this pirate, he suddenly felt that the pirates in Somalia were much cuter.

With just a burst of gunfire, you could leave this world peacefully.

But these Indonesian pirates give people a feeling of being scared to death without actually dying.

”I hope we don’t run into him.”

”Otherwise, I guarantee you won’t want to take this route again next time.”

Zhang Dayong shook his head.

Just then!

The voice of Captain Wei Changcheng suddenly came over the walkie-talkie.

[Um, Boss Zhang, next time you tell ghost stories, could you please turn off the walkie-talkie?]

[On pearl river 888, there’s only one living person and two machines. Jiang Chen will be scared if he hears that.]

Zhang Dayong was stunned.

Only then did he realize!

He didn’t know when, but the walkie-talkie had been turned on.

He awkwardly and hurriedly apologized: [Sorry! Sorry! I really didn’t mean it! Jiang Chen, Jiang Chen, you didn’t pee your pants from fear, did you? Do you need a diaper?]

Jiang Chen replied gloomily: [All fear comes from a lack of firepower.]

[That ghost pirate you’re talking about, if he dares to show himself, I guarantee I’ll give him two big slaps.]

”Hahahaha! Well said, Jiang Chen. All fear comes from a lack of firepower.”

Captain Wei Changcheng laughed heartily. As a generation raised under the red flag and bathed in natural science, they should firmly believe that when poor, use precision strikes; when rich, use firepower coverage. Whatever monsters or demons dare to show themselves... ship-borne missiles, deploy!

”Captain Wei is right!”

Zhang Dayong said with a chuckle.

After a brief exchange.

The destroyer began to accelerate, and the cargo ships also increased their speed to dozens of knots.

pearl river 888 followed leisurely behind the two columns of cargo ships, occasionally speeding up and slowing down.

Around eleven o’clock that night.

The escort fleet arrived at the southernmost end of the southern sea area.

However, this time, the fleet did not head west towards Malacca.

Instead, they followed the Karimata Strait in a southeasterly direction and entered Indonesian waters.

As a country of a thousand islands, Indonesia has West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, and East Kalimantan to the north.

To the south is the famous Sumatra Island.

Sandwiched in between are the Java Sea, the Flores Sea, and the Banda Sea.

Only by passing through these three sea areas can one reach Darwin City in Australia.

And in this narrow sea area stretching for thousands of nautical miles, there are countless islands.

Some islands have not even been visited by Indonesians themselves in their entire lives.

Even if they had been there, they wouldn’t be able to communicate, because Indonesia alone has over 500 languages.

...

Two days later.

When the escort fleet crossed the equator and arrived at the Java Sea area at 4 degrees south latitude and 116 degrees east longitude.

It was around six o’clock in the evening.

Jiang Chen had just finished the dinner that Zhang Dayong had the cargo ship’s chef send over and was burping.

Suddenly, he noticed!

There was an island ahead, very close by.

The island wasn’t big, but he had seen many like it along the way.

Some looked uninhabited, while others clearly had people.

As for the island ahead, he didn’t see any people, but he could see white smoke rising from within the island, which quickly began to cover the seaside.

”It must be someone cooking.”

Jiang Chen didn’t pay much attention to it; many indigenous people here still use firewood.

The fleet sailed forward at a speed of 20 knots.

As night fell.

The azure ocean gradually turned pitch black.

It was like a black monster, quietly opening its huge mouth.

And the scattered islands around them became more and more numerous.

On some islands, there were crooked, tall, thin streetlights, but the light was weak, and one could only vaguely see shadows flickering under the lights.

And the white smoke on the sea surface became thicker and thicker.

It seemed as if more and more people were cooking.

The fleet passed through the white mist.

Jiang Chen sniffed; it was indeed the smell of smoke from burning firewood.

It’s just that the concentration was getting higher and higher.

It was getting a bit hard to see the direction.

However, Jiang Chen watched the radar the whole time, following closely behind the last cargo ship.

The fleet had radar displays, so they didn’t deviate from their course and maintained a column formation throughout the journey.

Meanwhile.

Near 4 degrees north latitude and 130 degrees east longitude.

There was a long, strip-shaped island here that connected the north and south of Indonesia.

It was like a dam lying across this place.

On a bustling island.

There was an indigenous Indonesian tribe.

A group of indigenous people were repairing an assault boat.

And on a stone pier not far away, a barefoot man with a beard, wearing a headband and dressed like a pirate, was smoking opium.

”King Dujier, are we going out to sea tonight?”

A woman looked at the man with covetous eyes.

On the island, ten thousand people worked hard for a month, but there was no profit to be made.

But this man, as long as he went out to sea once, could let everyone eat and drink their fill; he was simply a savior.

Of course.

He preferred everyone to call him the Pirate King.

It is said that his grandfather was once a Sorcerer who possessed powerful secret arts.

And Dujier had also learned quite a few ancient secret arts passed down through his family.

Relying on these ancient secret arts, he became the big boss of this sea area.

Once, other pirate tribes wanted to compete with him for dominance over this sea area...

Later, that group of pirates jumped into the sea themselves.

Everyone said that this Dujier was not from Earth, but a god or demon descended from heaven.

Later on.

The rest of the pirates would steer clear of Dujier.

”Scatter these vanilla herbs on the sea.”

Dujier gave a look.

The women immediately went into action.

They drove the assault boat out to the sea and scattered the vanilla herbs as if they were sowing seeds.

They didn’t know how it worked, but they knew that once Dujier cast a curse, a thick fog would rise all around, the magnetic field would become chaotic, and all ships that accidentally entered this Sea of Vanilla would have their radar fail, which meant they would lose their way.

Normally, experienced cargo ships would choose to throw down some food or industrial goods as tribute.

Otherwise, they would just keep spinning in circles and wouldn’t be able to get out.
