Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

74: Chapter 74 The small fishing boat followed the aircraft carrier out of portThe waters outside the Pearl River are vast.

Compared to the narrow waters of Malacca, it is much larger.

Therefore!

Facing the impending departure of the Dragon Cry, the base did not issue an order to suspend traffic for half an hour.

Instead, it sent out a reminder to all ships entering and leaving the port to be careful and yield.

”Attention to all ships entering and leaving the Pearl River port, the Dragon Cry aircraft carrier strike group is about to set sail, please be aware and yield!”

Yang Wei, on the cargo ship, also received the radio transmission from the Naval Department Base.

Upon hearing this broadcast, the crowd immediately became excited.

”Holy crap, the Dragon Cry hasn’t left port yet!”

”What a coincidence, we actually ran into the aircraft carrier strike group setting sail. Can we watch from a distance?”

Yang Wei listened to the general route mentioned on the radio and then asked the cargo ship’s captain to stop in the nearby waters.

”The aircraft carrier strike group’s departure route is about half a nautical mile ahead. If we get any closer, we won’t be allowed to approach.”

Yang Wei’s cargo ship stopped in the western part of the southern sea area, intending to watch the southward-bound aircraft carrier strike group from a distance.

Everyone flocked to the deck, looking out towards the eastern sea area.

Yang Wei picked up his binoculars, took a look, and said, ”It’s not here yet. I’ll tell you when it arrives.”

Meanwhile.

Inside the military port.

The Dragon Cry had finally started up.

This time, it was setting sail as a complete formation.

It adopted a ’house formation’.

The so-called house formation meant the Bone Dragon Cruiser was clearing the path in front of the Dragon Cry.

On the left were the Pterosaur Cruiser and the Diplodocus Cruiser.

On the right were the Feather Dragon Cruiser and the Ceratopsian Cruiser.

The whole formation created a structure resembling a house.

As for the frigates and destroyers, there were thirteen of them in total, distributed roughly around the cruisers, protecting the aircraft carrier in the center.

Five hundred meters underwater was the nuclear submarine ’Jiaolong’.

There were eight Shenglong Early Warning Aircraft.

They were distributed in eight positions above the aircraft carrier: southeast, west, north, up, down, left, and right.

The distance was also spread out, sufficient to cover a field of view of three to four hundred nautical miles around.

As for the JF-17 Thunder fighter jets, they were quietly crouching on the deck, ready for takeoff at any moment.

”Why hasn’t that kid Jiang Chen arrived yet?”

In the aircraft carrier’s command room, Long Xiaotian had already ordered the carrier strike group to prepare for departure according to the scheduled time.

However, Jiang Chen had not yet appeared at the port at this time.

”Let’s go first.”

The aircraft carrier had already started, and Long Xiaotian did not linger too long.

The mission to Somalia this time did not include the pearl river 888.

Therefore, it was currently in a state of being detached from the formation.

It would not be accompanying them.

Soon.

The aircraft carrier strike group had traveled three nautical miles and was heading south in a grand procession.

Meanwhile, Yang Wei, in the nearby waters, also noticed the aircraft carrier heading along its established route.

He immediately said excitedly, ”Everyone, pay attention! The aircraft carrier is almost here. We won’t see it very clearly, but we can get a general look.”

”It’s finally here! Can we take a group photo?”

The crowd was excited, standing on the deck and looking for positions.

They wanted to get themselves and the aircraft carrier into the frame when it passed by.

Just as everyone on the cargo ship was looking forward to taking a photo with the aircraft carrier.

Jiang Chen, along with Cuihua and the Jindai Bird, finally arrived at the Pearl River Military Port.

”The aircraft carrier has already started?”

Jiang Chen stood at the port, only able to vaguely see the rear silhouette of the aircraft carrier.

Just now on the way, a part fell off Cuihua’s wings, so he had no choice but to go back to the military factory.

That’s why he was a little late.

However, since the aircraft carrier was still in sight, Jiang Chen was very confident in the pearl river 888’s propulsion system.

It was enough to catch up with the aircraft carrier.

”Let’s go!”

Jiang Chen started the small fishing boat.

The Jindai Bird flew fifty meters above his head.

Cuihua stood next to the mortar, ready for battle, prepared to launch fire support at any time.

”Dragon Cry command room, this is Shenglong Early Warning Aircraft No. 3. We have detected the pearl river 888 approaching from three nautical miles behind. Based on its speed, it will catch up in half an hour... oh no, fifteen minutes... oh no, six minutes!”

The early warning aircraft corrected the intercept time three times in a row based on the speed of the pearl river 888.

Long Xiaotian in the command room was stunned to hear the warning from the early warning aircraft.

”This speed, it’s that fast?”

He took out his binoculars and looked toward the rear.

He saw the pearl river 888 speeding toward them, skipping across the water like a stone.

”What the hell, why is his boat flying out of the sea?”

Long Xiaotian was dumbfounded.

Because the pearl river 888’s propulsion system was too powerful, it was currently in a state of speeding, alternately flying out of the water and dropping back down, looking just like a ”stone skipping across water.”

”Ya!”

”This thrust, it’s even more exciting than Xue Yao!”

Jiang Chen, on the small fishing boat, controlled the propulsion system with an excited expression.

He had already controlled the propulsion system’s efficiency to 10%, but the small fishing boat still felt like it was about to take flight.

So much so that!

The entire boat was in a state of undulating, high-speed travel.

And the celestial general Cuihua, amidst this violent fluctuation, kept correcting her balance system.

At first, she would sway a little, but after a few times, the intelligent system could quickly make balancing movements based on the swaying data.

So very quickly, Cuihua remained motionless.

”pearl river 888, this is Dragon Cry command room. Your position is one hundred meters to the left of the aircraft carrier.”

It was about to catch up with the aircraft carrier.

Just then, Jiang Chen received the radio transmission from Long Xiaotian.

”pearl river 888 receiving!”

Jiang Chen steered toward the left side of the Dragon Cry according to the position and distance mentioned by Long Xiaotian.

As the pearl river 888 approached, the several frigates originally located at the stern of the Dragon Cry moved aside.

They let the pearl river 888 sail into the formation.

This scene was just happened to be seen by Yang Wei and the others who had stopped three nautical miles away.

”The aircraft carrier is here, the aircraft carrier is here! Everyone, quick, take a photo!”

Everyone was excited.

Suddenly, they noticed another boat speeding toward them from behind.

”Huh, what boat is that? How dare it chase the aircraft carrier?”

”It looks like a small fishing boat? Holy crap, this guy is bold! He’s trying to rear-end the aircraft carrier?”

”If he causes a collision, how much will he have to pay?”

Everyone put down their phones, breaking out in a cold sweat.

If they bumped into even one destroyer in the carrier strike group, they would be in serious trouble.

”It really is a small fishing boat!”

Less than half a nautical mile away, everyone finally saw it. This thing was very small; in front of the aircraft carrier, it was practically just a little chick.

”It’s really courting death. The frigates at the tail will just ram it aside!”

Yang Wei also watched with great interest as the fishing boat rushed toward the carrier strike group.

He wanted to see what would happen to those who offended the aircraft carrier strike group.

However.

The next second.

As the pearl river 888 approached, the frigates located at the tail actually moved aside.

The small fishing boat, without any obstruction, immediately rushed into the sea area on the left side of the aircraft carrier.

It was just like a hen seeing its chick returning to the nest and immediately spreading its wings.

The little chick also took the opportunity to dash inside.
