Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

70: Chapter 70 Heading to the Dragon Group, Gene SeedlingThe Black Palace’s global UFO hearing attracted the attention of global media, including Xue Yao.

She lay half-reclined on the sofa, her fair, tender feet resting on Jiang Chen’s lap, snacking on potato chips, spicy gluten strips, and sunflower seeds as she asked Jiang Chen.

”Hubby, what kind of good luck has the United States had recently that they’ve even managed to capture a UFO?”

”When are we going to catch one too?”

Jiang Chen glanced at the live stream on Weibo and smiled without saying a word.

The Black Palace hadn’t released Tie Zhu; they were just answering questions on site.

Therefore, Xue Yao didn’t know what the Black Palace had actually captured.

If she knew they had captured Tie Zhu, she would probably die laughing.

”What’s the point of catching a UFO? The Longke Academy is making rapid progress in mecha technology, so when we release our aircraft, it will be a natural UFO,” Jiang Chen said.

With Tie Zhu, who possessed both combat power and defense, as well as Cuihua, the mech-human primarily for support, he planned to combine them with Xuan Nu’s flight mechanism to create some Heavenly Soldiers and Generals with wingspans.

As Heavenly Soldiers and Generals, how could they lack flight capabilities?

Although the speed might not compare to Xuan Nu, having a speed of two or three Mach was already enough.

”Build a UFO? Doesn’t that mean you’ll have to work overtime and stay up late again?” Xue Yao suddenly felt a bit emo.

Jiang Chen pinched her feet and asked with a smile, ”Didn’t you just say you liked UFOs? I’ll make one for you; isn’t that good?”

”No, I mean, building a UFO and making babies are mutually exclusive.” Xue Yao stared straight at Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen’s hand movement paused. The smile on his face stiffened.

”I think building a UFO might be more important.”

After saying this, Jiang Chen hurriedly got up. I love scientific research. I love UFOs.

”Don’t run!” Xue Yao chased after him!

Jiang Chen eventually managed to slip away.

Xue Yao lay depressed on the sofa, scrolling through her phone out of boredom, when she suddenly noticed Mole Manor in the corner, which she hadn’t opened in a long time.

The last time she opened it, a website for the [Global Supernatural Phenomenon Research Base] popped up.

Although the Longan Department had denied it, she knew the website was real. It was just a pity that the website had been blocked, and she hadn’t been able to access it again.

She opened the game again, but the interface didn’t pop up that website. She was a bit disappointed and wandered around inside for a while.

Just as she was planning to leave, someone in the chat channel kept spamming a comment.

[Latest news from the Global Supernatural Phenomenon Research Base: The Dragon Group is currently looking for genetically mutated individuals; if interested, please contact me.]

Genetically mutated individuals? Do I count as genetically mutated?

Lightning flickered faintly in Xue Yao’s eyes. Ever since she was struck by lightning last time, she had discovered abnormal changes in her body.

Not only was her vision broader, but her perception was sharper, and her strength was greater. She could even control electric currents.

Every time she did her morning exercises with Jiang Chen, she could give him a magical electric shock experience. Over time, she felt like she was about to become the Thunder Mage.

Driven by an inexplicable impulse, Xue Yao added that person’s contact information. She wanted to know if there were other people in this world who were genetically mutated like her.

[Hello, I am a referrer for the Dragon Group. Are you a genetically mutated individual?] A message came from the other side.

Xue Yao replied: [I don’t know, but I have a slight electric current in my body, and I would like to come and get tested.]

[Okay, I will give you an address that you can go to. My referral code is: nmkh860ss.]

[Okay.]

Xue Yao wasn’t worried that the other party was a scammer, organ harvester, robber, trafficker, or some other bad person. If they were any of the above, she wouldn’t mind giving them a vivid lesson in electricity.

Xue Yao packed her things, ready to head to the address provided. This address was some distance away from Pearl River City, taking about three or four hours.

Anyway, Jiang Chen was going to build a UFO tonight, so she planned to go out.

...

The area to the southwest of Pearl River City was a stretch of big mountains.

When Xue Yao drove to these mountains, she furrowed her brows.

If she didn’t control electricity and were still a weak woman like before, she really wouldn’t have dared to come here. But now, she mustered her courage and continued driving forward.

She didn’t know how long she had been driving. The mountain road was rugged, and the car swayed. It was dark outside, so she had to turn on the headlights to continue forward.

Just at this moment, a bright light suddenly shone down from mid-air. Armed personnel, appearing from who knows where, suddenly surrounded her. Shouts and the sound of bullets being chambered rang out.

”Who goes there!” ”Get out of the car!”

Xue Yao quickly adjusted to the light and scanned the area, squinting. Not far away, there was actually a sign indicating a restricted military zone.

She raised an eyebrow; it seemed this was the legendary Dragon Group base.

She got out of the car and immediately stated the code: ”I was referred by someone; the code is nmkh860ss!”

”Base, Base, code received, please verify.” The armed personnel outside the car said a few words into the walkie-talkie. Soon, a reply came from the other side.

After the armed personnel confirmed there was no issue, they lowered their weapons and said, ”Come with us!”

Xue Yao followed them toward a large mountain. But when they reached it, the mountain suddenly opened, revealing a large gate. Xue Yao was secretly amazed. What a top-secret place.

Soon, she entered the gate and followed the armed personnel to a training field. This field was as large as a soccer field.

All around, there were not only a large amount of strange equipment but also many armed personnel training. Not far away, there were some people in casual clothes, men and women, who seemed to be standing there just like her.

Even a ninety-year-old man with a goat beard, wearing a white training suit, looked like a celestial being.

”Wait here for a moment; someone will come soon.” The person who brought Xue Yao in said this to her and then went to notify the Dragon Group leader.

”Leader of the Dragon Group, nineteen people claiming to be genetically mutated individuals have arrived outside. When should we start the testing?”

In a large conference room, several tall men stood up one after another. One of them, with a burly figure of nearly two meters, was none other than the Dragon Group leader, Commander Long Kui.

”Let’s go, Leader, and see if there are any good seedlings among this batch of genetically mutated individuals.”

”I hope so. I heard the fourth aircraft carrier is about to be launched, but the commander for the fourth aircraft carrier has yet to be decided.”

”There’s no help for it. Right now, the high-sequence Gene Warriors of the Dragon Group have all been snatched up by the first three aircraft carriers. We are in a state where the new generation hasn’t yet taken over from the old. If we can’t find good seedlings, we’ll have to transfer a qualified Gene Warrior from another aircraft carrier.”

”Let’s go! Let’s go take a look together.” The group discussed as they strode toward the training field.
