Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

71: Chapter 71 Enterprise-level Sister Li’s Account, Gathering”Enterprise-Class Sister Li? What Li? What Sister?”

On the other end of the line! It was Chu Gengyun, the Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology in the capital. After receiving the call from Commander Long Kui, he was completely stunned.

”Li from dawn, Sister from older sister.” Commander Long Kui explained helplessly.

Just an hour ago, he had detected a high-sequence superhuman with electrical elemental powers, which had thrilled him to no end.

In terms of power, this girl’s strength was already on par with the commanders of the other three aircraft carriers.

She was absolutely one of the best candidates for the next aircraft carrier commander!

As for knowledge about aircraft carriers, with her level of physical evolution, it was absolutely not a problem.

In at most one year, she would be fully capable of serving as the commander of the fourth aircraft carrier.

The only problem was that this young girl actually demanded that the name of the fourth aircraft carrier be set as: Enterprise-Class Sister Li!

”Such an anime-style name, I’m afraid the capital won’t approve it.” Commander Long Kui smiled bitterly.

However, seeing how persistent the girl was, he still tentatively made a call to Chu Gengyun.

”Old Chu, this girl has electrical elemental powers, her strength is immense, and she has further potential. It would be a great pity to just give up on her like this.” Commander Long Kui explained to Chu Gengyun.

The girl only had this one request; if they didn’t agree, she would give up.

”Young people these days, they don’t want money or power, they just want to give an aircraft carrier such an anime-style name?” Chu Gengyun was also stunned.

”How about you reconsider?”

”Old Long, even if I reconsider, I still have to follow the procedure. First, we have to collect suggestions from netizens, then twenty core departments have to hold a meeting and vote together, and only then can a final decision be made. It’s not something I can decide alone.” Chu Gengyun stated truthfully.

”Then just follow the procedure. Who knows, maybe by the end of the procedure, it really will be this name.”

”Fine! I can submit this name, but whether it makes it to the end is not something I can control.” The call hung up.

... Not long after! The official Weibo of the Naval Department Base suddenly posted a voting event for the name of the fourth aircraft carrier.

This voting event had a total of ten options. Three of them were set by the officials. The remaining seven were collected from the public.

[666666, the fourth aircraft carrier is about to be launched? How come aircraft carriers are being launched like dumplings now?]

[Launching them like dumplings is good! My sense of security has increased by another point! Burp!]

[Enterprise-Class Sister Li? Hahaha, why is this name given by the officials so funny?]

[For sure! The previous ones, Dragon Bone and True Dragon, were quite normal! This Enterprise-Class Sister Li... I don’t quite understand it, hahaha!]

[The officials are so funny! I submitted Mantis Shrimp, is there anyone who supports me!]

[Mantis Shrimp is not bad, I submit Spicy Strip, requesting a battle!]

[This is an aircraft carrier, a big guy, a symbol of dominance. Can you guys come up with some names that look powerful? I think ’Emperor Through the Ages’ is good!]

Netizens discussed heatedly, each showing their own creativity, voting for their favorite aircraft carrier names.

Soon! Half an hour later. The ones ranked highest were Enterprise-Class Sister Li, Mantis Shrimp, and Primordial Void Dragon.

[Hahahaha, I didn’t expect Enterprise-Class Sister Li to be ranked first. Is this the power of anime?]

[Damn, I don’t understand why Mantis Shrimp isn’t first, brothers, let’s vote together!]

Almost instantly, tens of thousands of voters pushed Mantis Shrimp back onto the throne.

But soon! Enterprise-Class Sister Li reclaimed the throne.

Afterwards! It firmly suppressed Mantis Shrimp in second place by a margin of twenty thousand, thirty thousand, and one hundred thousand votes.

”Husband, husband, come vote quickly!” After finishing dinner, Xue Yao, who was watching TV, suddenly shouted excitedly at Jiang Chen.

”Vote for what?” Jiang Chen walked over, puzzled.

For the past few days, he had been at Longke Academy designing flight-capable wings for the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals. Therefore, he was not very clear about the naming of the fourth aircraft carrier.

”Isn’t our country about to launch the fourth aircraft carrier? They are naming it right now.”

”Look, Enterprise-Class Sister Li is currently the name with the most votes.”

”Hehe, I also think this name is very good, hurry up and cast a vote!”

As Xue Yao said this, she opened Jiang Chen’s phone and logged into Weibo. She helped him cast a vote for Enterprise-Class Sister Li.

”Enterprise-Class Sister Li? Damn, this name is a bit anime-style, are you sure it can be approved?”

Jiang Chen took a look. As of now, this Enterprise-Class Sister Li had actually received over 1.8 million votes of support.

In a few more days, it would probably exceed five million.

And Mantis Shrimp, which was in second place, although it had over one million votes, it was still 500,000 votes behind Enterprise-Class Sister Li.

As for the others, the gap was even larger.

”Haha, this is the power of anime. Many people are just silently voting!” Xue Yao said very happily.

If Enterprise-Class Sister Li could really become the name of the fourth aircraft carrier, then if she became the aircraft carrier commander, it would be so cool!

When that time comes! As soon as others see her, they will shout: Commander of Sister Li, request orders! Just thinking about it feels so cool.

Of course. There was another very important reason why she wanted to be an aircraft carrier commander.

Jiang Chen goes out to sea whenever he has free time; how dangerous that is. pearl river 888 is so weak, so pitiful, and so helpless... Wouldn’t it be appropriate to drive an aircraft carrier to escort him!

”This has to be reviewed by many departments, right? I feel like it should be very difficult to pass.” Jiang Chen chuckled.

He didn’t think this name would really be approved in the end. If it were officially confirmed, Dragon Cry, Dragon God, and Dragon Soul would only be full of question marks.

”No! I believe Enterprise-Class Sister Li will definitely be approved!” Xue Yao declared confidently.

”Alright, I’m going to sleep, I have to work overtime tomorrow.” Jiang Chen returned to the bedroom. Before going to sleep, he scrolled through his Moments for a while.

He had graduated for almost two years, and many of his classmates had become seafarers, making a living in various major ocean-going companies.

Some were still ordinary seafarers: sailors. Some had promoted quickly and had already become senior seafarers: third mates.

As for second mates, first mates, captains, and the like above third mate, there were none.

Of course. There was one classmate who was an exception. Jiang Chen just happened to scroll to this classmate’s Moments.

[Congratulations to my old man for successfully winning over a major client in North America. A new batch of cargo ships is about to set sail!]

The attached image showed a dozen large ocean-going cargo ships, sailing out of the port in a mighty formation. And the cargo ships were loaded with over ten tons of goods.

A single trip would cost no more than twenty million, and the profit would be at least two or three hundred million.

[Brother Yang is awesome, worthy of being in ocean shipping!]

[Brother Yang, it’s been almost two years since we graduated, are you free lately? Should we all get together for a gathering?]

[Yeah, yeah, we agreed to have more gatherings after graduation, are you free lately?]

This Moments post quickly attracted comments from his former university classmates. Even! Even his former teachers came to comment, expressing their hope that student Yang Wei could come back and share his success stories with the juniors.

”Success stories?” Jiang Chen almost laughed out loud.

This Yang Wei was just the son of the chairman of the Ocean Shipping Group. These cargo ships and clients were all secured by his father using various resources and connections. What kind of success story could this Yang Wei have?

However. This did not prevent everyone from showering Yang Wei with praise.

[In response to everyone’s kind invitation, I plan to sail a large cargo ship to the waters near Zhujiang Port! Let’s have a gathering on the cargo ship!]

[As for expenses and such, I, Yang, will cover it all. Is it convenient for everyone to come?]

In the WeChat group that had been silent for two years, Yang Wei suddenly spoke up.
