Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 690: Operation ’Hydra’. Part-8.

Unlike Liam, Ellie’s situation was much more delicate and more difficult to deal with.

First Riya had to cleanse the clone body of all of Neo’s blood and traces.

Unlike Liam, who was compatible with Neo’s blood because he was Neo’s son, Ellie was incompatible with that, and the clone had to be completely separated from all of Neo’s influence on it.

Doing this was like hand-picking every single damaged grain of rice out of a massive warehouse filled with rice.

Riya had to track and erase every single cell related to Neo out of the millions and millions of other cells of the body; it was a daunting task even for Riya, who was blessed with a powerful legendary skill.

To accomplish this task, the group had no choice but to help Riya together.

Even Rio decided to first complete this task before starting his own soul-binding task, as it would be pointless to bind Ellie’s soul to a body that was not even compatible with her!

”Just focus on finding and marking the cells; leave elimination to me. Link will lend you his support for mana and calculation and Lia will help you predict the locations faster and more easily...”

Riya nodded her head at Rio’s words and got straight to work with the rest of the team!

With the combined effort of three legendary skills and one pseudo-legendary skill working at full capacity on the same task, progress was made at a rapid pace!

The chance of mistakes happening in this matter was low, as Riya could easily recreate any cells that were mistakenly destroyed despite not being related to Neo with her own healing power.

Even though all four of them worked together, it still took them more than six hours to complete the entire procedure!

Thankfully Raji and Ashtel weren’t back yet, which meant that the heavenly tribulation was still going.

”Phew~ with this... we can finally proceed to the next step!”

Once the cleansing task was completing, the next step was merging Ellie’s dead body with this clone so that the body would have her blood and would become compatible with her soul.

This was another daunting task just like the previous one!

”If not for the fact that Ellie’s body is so horribly damaged from her soul sacrifice that it won’t accept any soul inside anymore... her real body would have been the best option for this...”

Riya shook her head as Link wiped the sweat from her forehead with his handkerchief and handed her a stack of papers.

”This is the forbidden spell that Neo Aldif used to merge bodies... would you use it?”

At Link’s question, Riya shook her head and threw that stack of papers away.

”That thing is garbage! It mocks the very ’law’ of ’life’ and is not something that should even be used in the first place...”

”We can’t use that...”

Although Riya was stubborn, she was right.

The method that Neo used to merge dead bodies together to make a perfect clone for himself was not humane at all.

He was actually liquefying all of the thousands of dead corpses and then using a forbidden demonic spell to merge that liquefied paste into a single body!

This was literally the exact same method that demons used to create or summon higher-ranking demons through the sacrifice of innocent people!

The ’Drift City Massacre’ that destroyed Rio’s home was a vivid example of this matter.

In fact, after finding out how these clones were made, Rio was even suspecting that Neo Aldif was also involved either directly or indirectly in the ’Drift City’ incident back then!

”I will use a method that I have created! I will not follow this cursed ’path’ of a demonic being!”

Riya denied using the forbidden spell and instead chose to use her own methods to deal with the current situation!

She bowed down on one knee, and a heavy pressure spread in the entire room, causing Rio and others to take a step back in surprise.

[Oh, Benevolent ’World’...]

[Oh, Benevolent ’Law’ of ’Protection and Cure’!]

[I the Inheritor of the Heart of Eternal Nirvana!]

[I ask for you permission to create a new ’Miracle’!]

[I, whom you have blessed with the ability to create ’Miracles’!]

[I ask for your benevolence, allow me pardon for what I am about to do!]

[Allow me your favor to save another life! Allow me the strength to walk on my ’Path’ of saving every being that I can!]

Link’s and others’ eyes widened in shock as they hurriedly stepped back as they realized what Riya was about to do.

Rio even pushed Lia behind himself as he covered them both with his sword intent as a form of protection.

Even Link hurriedly put up his defenses as he braced himself for what was about to happen!

And their caution indeed paid off!

*Rumble!* *Rumble!* *Crack!* *Crack!*

As if the entire space-time fabric were reacting to Riya’s words, small spatial cracks appeared in the entire room as the space-time fabric itself started to tremble with immense power!

As if the ’world’ and the very ’laws’ of the ’world’ itself had decided to support Riya’s decision, as the entire cosmos had decided to lend Riya its help, a massive amount of mana and energy of the ’laws’ of the ’world’ started to condense.

All that energy formed a massive angel-like halo above Riya’s head!

[Ding! You have accomplished something that was considered impossible by the entire universe!]

[Ding! You have gained the blessing of the entire universe for your cause!]

[Ding! You have gained the favour of the ’world’; all your healing-related capabilities will be boosted by 1000 times temporarily!]

[Ding! Congratulations! By accomplishing something that even greater than the biggest miracles possible, you have earned a new unique title!]

[Ding! Congratulations! You have been granted the title, ’Goddess of Resurrection!’ By the ’World’!]

Lia, who had been looking at the entire situation with wide-open eyes, felt like she was going to faint from shock!

This is the very thing Astra was talking about!

Astra mentioned that to create the ’Sword of Promised Destinies,’ you would need the support of the entire universe!

Riya was doing something very similar right now!
