Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 653: Endless Samsara of Misery.

To Lia, it seemed like time had stopped and Rahn’s sword had frozen in one spot before she fell unconscious, but reality was far from different.

Rahn’s sword did not freeze in time; it did not stop.

In fact, he was using his entire might to make the sword continue descending on Lia, but to his shock, the sword refused to move forward by even a single inch.

It was as if some kind of bizarre force had taken a hold of his body and had frozen the space-time fabric itself; Rahn could not even understand what was happening to him.

Before Rahn could understand what was happening, a feeling of pure horror surged out from the very bottom of his soul, and his body started sweating like crazy.

Goosebumps appeared all over his body as each and every cell in his body started to tremble in fear so strong and deep, that even the atoms of his body felt ’terror.’

Chills ran down Rahn’s spine as he slowly tilted his eyes to the side only to see an unknown person sitting beside Lia’s injured body.

The unknown being had no presence, no aura, no spatial fluctuation, and yet, just from being in the presence of that being, Rahn felt uncomfortable and anxious from the very depths of his soul.

His soul screamed at him in pain as if someone were constantly stinging it with pins and needles; his mind became unfocused as his thoughts got consumed with pure, incomprehensible horror.

Even the miasmic corruption in his body trembled and tried to escape; every single one of his danger alarms and his senses screamed at him that this ’being’ was dangerous and too horrific.

Rahn never saw or sensed the being approaching; it was as if it had appeared completely out of thin air.

The being was simply incomprehensible in Rahn’s eyes.

The unknown being stared at Lia with his abyss-dark eyes for a while and then slowly tilted his head towards Rahn, causing terror to surge in Rahn’s heart.

”You did this to her?...”

Rahn felt so much fear in that moment that he dared not speak a word in reply to that question.

Rahn’s sword attack hadn’t frozen on the spot because he was being controlled by any force; he froze simply because his very existence felt a threat so horrific that he dared not even move because of immense fear and terror.

Before Rahn could give any reply, the scenery suddenly changed, and he found himself standing in a much farther spot from his original location.

He could still see Lia’s body far away in the distance, but he couldn’t gather the courage to speak or ask any question.

Unbearable pain assaulted him as he noticed that now he was missing his entire lower torso, and his lower torso was actually still standing there far away in the distance beside Lia’s injured body.

”She’s about to break through to the next realm... it seems that after falling in a deadly situation, she managed to polish her existence even further...”

”It’s better to not disturb her when she’s in the process of ascension...”

As the unknown being spoke in an utterly emotionless voice, Rahn looked to his side and noticed that this bizarre creature in the form of a young man was actually standing right beside him with one of his hands resting atop Rahn’s head.

He wasn’t even looking at Rahn anymore; his eyes were fixated in Lia’s direction, whose body slowly started to rise in the air as mana from all directions started to pour into her body.

As her rank rose to the next level, all of the wounds on her body were healed and repaired with the help of the ’laws’ of the ’world.’

”Sigh... Clearing a pseudo-SS-rank dungeon alone while just being an A-ranker... Your way of training is too extreme Lia...”

”Even I wouldn’t dare play with my life like that...”

While the unknown person was busy muttering to himself, Rahn’s facial expression twisted into pure agony and terror.

His lower torso was missing, but to his disbelief, his internal organs remained intact; he still didn’t die and kept living.

Miasmic corruption rushed inside his body at an alarming rate; his body entered a perpetual decay state.

Every second massive chunks of his body would decay and collapse, causing immense pain and agony to him, but then Miasma would hurriedly repair them back.

Then the process would repeat itself over and over!

And to Rahn’s horror, the miasmic attacks didn’t remain focused on his body alone; his mind, his soul, and his very being all started decaying continuously.

A massive number of memories were forcefully inserted in his mind, and in all those memories, he was going through horrific torture over and over.

”I-I am s-sorry... p-please... m-mercy...”

Rahn begged for mercy as tears appeared in his eyes, but the horrific being only looked at him with an emotionless robot-like expression on his face and replied with an equally emotionless voice,

”You can still speak? You have quite a tenacious body it seems... well, that’s good; this way you will be able to withstand more torture for a much longer time before your soul collapses...”

”I like people that have strong souls; after all, only strong souls can entertain me for a much longer time...”

Before Rahn could even think of resisting, his ’Sea of Consciousness’ was blocked; his soul was modified in an entirely new shape.

His entire body got turned into a small cube of mass and flesh that had only one purpose in its life, and that purpose was ’Living hundreds of thousands of short lives filled with inhumane torture and horrible ends one after another with no end in sight!’

It was torture so cruel and so inhumane that even the most dreaded psychopaths in the world would not dare to use it on their victims.

And the most horrifying part of it all was that Rahn had no hope of resisting it; it will only end when his soul gets completely erased after suffering too much soul damage from the perpetual suffering of thousands of lives.

”It’s a pity that I can’t go back in time with my current powers, or I would have travelled back in time to catch the real you...”

”The current you are just a memory of the distant past... this punishment still feels lacklustre to me...”
