Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 662: Bela Anant! Part-3.

Inside Lia’s Sea of Consciousness.

”To understand what the ’Sword of Promised Destinies’ is, you will first have to understand how the ’Threads’ of ’Fate’ and ’Destiny’ work in this this ’World.’”

”And you will have to understand the role of ’Origin’ in this entire ’Cosmic Order’... it’s a long story, but once you hear the whole of it, you will understand...”

Hearing Bela’s words, Lia laughed wryly.

”I just became an S-ranker, and to think I am already getting involved in matters that even powerful demi-gods dare not take lightly...”

”Sigh, no wonder my ’Path’ is so difficult to traverse; I am getting myself involved in too much trouble...”

At Lia’s words, Bela smiled and spoke in a comforting tone.

”You cannot change the circumstances of your birth and your creation, but you can certainly change the way you perceive the world and how you adapt to it...”

”Many talented people that are burdened with heavy responsibilities end up getting buried under the weight of those shackles and never manage to realize their true potential...”

Bela looked at the starry sky as she spoke.

”When I was born, I became the first ’Awakener’ that humanity had ever had... according to what I know, The grand event that we call ’mana descent’ happened about in year 2012, and I was born in year 2020...”

”At that time, nobody realized that I was different... but as time went by and my body naturally accumulated more and more mana, I reached a threshold where I could start using my skills...”

”I still remember the day I first showed my powers to the world quite vividly...”

...

In a long-gone past, Year 2029.

In a small city called Leela (present-day Oaklum City) located near the southern shore of the Continent of Maiqeulla (present-day Astrum Continent), there existed a small private farm.

The Anant family used to plant flowers of various different rare types on this small farm, and their flowers were famous in the entire city!

Couples would often choose to buy these exotic flowers from the family shop of the Anant family as a gift for their partners.

Although Bela’s parents weren’t wealthy enough to be considered millionaires, her family was quite well off compared to most of the city’s residents.

As the only child of her parents, Bela grew up with plenty of love and care; her parents doted on her quite a lot, and whenever they worked on their beautiful farm, little Bela would tag along with them every day!

Her parents had hired enough helpers to take care of the entire farm, and their business was also in a stable state in those days.

Bela and her happy family used to live a leisurely and carefree life that many can only dream of.

That particular day, when Bela was just nine years old, she was playing in the massive farmland; she was running around and singing melodies that she had learned in school not too long ago.

Her parents were instructing the workers and busy in their work; at that moment, she stumbled upon a flower that was wilted for some reason.

Bela, a little girl who was in her curious about everything phase of life, had no idea that one wilted flower would go on to become the reason why her entire destiny would completely change and take a new course!

”Young lady? It’s quite hot outside today. Why don’t you play inside?”

Just when Bela was looking at the wilted flower in confusion, a female worker who was walking past stopped, squatted down, and spoke with a smile on her face.

”What are you looking at, young lady?”

Hearing the unknown aunt’s words, Bela curiously pointed towards the wilted flower with her small fingers and asked,

”What happened to this flower friend? Does its tummy hurt?”

At Bela’s innocent question, the lady smiled and replied,

”This flower here has become old; it’s been in the farm for a while... just like humans grow up and eventually get old, this flower friend is now old... it’s time it leaves and enters the flower heaven!”

Hearing the worker lady’s words, Bela felt a bit sad.

”B-but... wouldn’t other flower friends feel sad if this one left? That’s sad...”

At Bela’s cute and innocent words, the lady worker explained with a smile,

”To be born, to live and to die is what defines the beauty of life... Life is all about what you have achieved in life...”

”If you work hard for your goals, and leave no regrets behind, there will be no need to be sad anymore... after all, Death is the unavoidable truth of every existence; instead of rejecting it, we should adapt our lives according to it...”

”Well, I guess our little young lady is too young to understand this complicated stuff, but all I want to say is that there’s no need to be sad; this flower has already achieved its goals...”

The worker lady patted little Bela’s head as she spoke.

”This flower has shone beautifully and has refreshed the world with its beauty for long enough; it’s about time we let it rest in peace now...”

Just when the worker lady thought that with this much consoling, little Bela would not feel sad anymore, Bela suddenly embraced the wilted flower in her small palms and said,

”Mom says that when you feel sick and weak, if others cheer you up, you will feel better!”

”I cheered Papa up the other day when he had a headache, and he got better. The flower friend will also feel better if I cheer it up!”

Before the worker lady could say anything, Bela, in her stubbornness, held the flower and spoke.

”Pain pain go away~ You can win, little flower friend!”

[Ding! Your desire to help others has successfully awakened your dormant skills!]

A massive amount of mana suddenly gathered and turned into pure vitality as healing elementals embraced the wilting flower held between Bela’s small palms!

[Low Grade Healing Magic: Basic Full Body Heal!]

In front of the shocked eyes of the worker lady, Bela blew new life into that dying flower!

The limp stalk of the flower straightened once again as new petals regenerated due to the force of that powerful vitality.

As if the flower were overflowing with immense vitality, it became even bigger and more beautiful than it ever was!

Bela revived that dying flower and brought it back to life effortlessly!

Bela’s parents and the other workers on the farm were also attracted over by that massive life force fluctuation!

Humanity, which had only just recently started adapting to the appearance of awakeners, still didn’t know that it was possible to heal severe wounds and reverse age!

Bela was the first ever awakener, and she was the first ever healer humanity had ever seen! To them, her work seemed like that of a god!

To all the people present on that small farm, what Bela did was nothing short of a miracle! To them, Bela seemed like an oracle of God sent straight from the heavens to help mortals like them!

And thus, with this small incident as the foundation, the destiny of little Bela took a new turn!

From a little farm girl to the world’s strongest healer, she would go on to be revered by the world with the title Astra, the Goddess of Protection and Cure!

It all began in that very moment!
