Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 687: Operation ’Hydra’. Part-5.

At Ashtel’s words, silence took over the entire room.

No one spoke; no one objected to the plan, but it was also true that none of them liked it either.

They all knew that these two cloned bodies were something that were made from the sacrifices of thousands of innocent people.

Cremating these clones would have been the best choice, as that would have put the dead souls of all these innocent peoples to rest.

But no one in the room raised their voice to do this as they all decided to swallow their morality down for the moment.

Even Riya, who could see the jumbled-up vitality of thousands of people in those bodies, and Lia, who could see hundreds of broken threads of destiny still lingering around those two clone bodies, decided to close their eyes and not raise any objection at the moment.

If it were not for Liam and Ellie’s sake, no one in the room would have agreed to use this horrible plan, as doing this was no different than making a mockery out of those thousands of lives.

”All the resentment and miasmic corruption-related influence that might happen from this operation... I will absorb it, so you all don’t need to burden yourself with that...”

As everyone felt unsure, Rio stepped forward and decided to take the lead.

Using these clone bodies for selfish gains was definitely not an easy task; for people like Riya, Link, Lia, and even Ashtel, it was a daunting task.

All of them follow a ’path’ of ’order’; if they do this kind of horrible thing, if they take advantage of innocent dead souls like this, there will be a risk of them all becoming vulnerable to miasmic corruption.

Defying your own ’path’ can cause very serious consequences, and everyone knew that, and to deal with this, Rio was the perfect choice.

He was immune to miasmic corruption; all the resentment lingering inside the two clone bodies could be easily absorbed by him, and it wouldn’t have any effect on him whatsoever.

”I will take the lead; take your time and get ready...”

As Rio said those words, he stepped forward and walked over to the two cryogenic sleeping pods by himself while giving others some space to make up their minds and gather their resolve.

Rio waved his finger and placed Ellie’s coffin on the ground beside the two cryogenic pods along with the two soul containers.

[Sword Intent!]

Using sword intent, Rio easily broke the security locks placed on the two cryogenic pods and opened them both easily.

[Sword Sage’s Enlightenment: Miasmic Manipulation: Resentful Energy Absorption!]

Using his sword as storage, Rio absorbed all the lingering resentment in the two clones, purified all miasmic influence from them, and stored it all in his sword before converting it all into pure energy.

And finally, the pure energy was absorbed by him to make his own soul stronger and completely eliminated.

’Do not worry... I will use the power of your resentment to bring help to the helpless people of this world... you can all rest in peace...’

’I hope that in your next life... you will all live happily...’

As Rio spoke those words in his mind, all negative emotions and energies disappeared completely, and the two clone bodies became purified of all possible miasmic influence.

With this, Liam and Ellie won’t have to worry about any future complications.

”Sigh... we are already here; it’s pointless to keep delaying anymore; we can worry about the legal problems later...”

Seeing that Rio was almost done, Raji took a deep breath and made up her mind as she walked over.

[World Authority: Frozen Lily!]

Without any further delay, Raji activated her ’world authority’ called ’Frozen Lily’; her world authority gave her the ability to freeze the very space-time fabric and even influence the ’laws’ of the ’world’ slightly.

Although her world authority was only at level 1, it was quite powerful.

”I will use my world authority to keep the situation under control. When you all are working, I will keep an eye on the procedure, and if something goes wrong or a mistake is about to happen, I will help you freeze the space-time and prevent it...”

Ashtel also nodded his head at Raji’s words as he spoke.

”What we are about to do is definitely something that the ’world’ won’t like and there’s a possibility that some ’Laws’ will be offended by this matter...”

”In case that happens... we will likely be bombarded by ’heavenly punishment,’ but rest assured... I will take care of that and no harm will reach you all...”

With Ashtel and Raji as protectors, there was no longer need to worry about safety and mistakes; they were both powerful people, and with their help, the chances of failing would be reduced significantly.

”Sigh... let’s do this...”

Lia took a deep breath and finally agreed as she also walked over and activated her ability to peek into the movements of the threads of destiny at full power.

Seeing that everyone else was ready, Riya stared at Ellie’s coffin for a long time before finally clenching her fist and walking over too.

”I am only doing this for Liam and Ellie... I will never make a mockery of other life like this ever again...”

It took Riya immense determination and resolve to agree to this plan, as she knew that without her this plan would not work at all and she had to save her friends no matter what.

As Riya decided to agree, Link also didn’t hesitate anymore and lent the help of his dao rhythm and mana to Riya as a support.

Seeing this, Rio nodded his head and used his telekinesis to open the coffin and the two soul containers before saying,

”Souls are very fragile objects... make sure you are controlling your strength properly at all times; even a single mistake will make the entire plan go down the drain...”

”And we cannot afford to fail...”

At Rio’s words, everyone nodded solemnly and got to work.

With every single person in the room fully determined to save Liam and Ellie even at the cost of their morality, the controversial operation, ’Operation Hydra,’ finally began in full swing!
