Chapter 673: Shall we go?

Only when Rio reminded her of this matter did the memories from the inheritance appear in her mind, and she realized that Fairyland was taken over by the demon race as the fairies went almost extinct.

”But I have heard that it snows constantly in the demon continent and the environment there is extremely hostile to life...”

Although the inheritance Lia got had a lot of Astra’s personal skills and knowledge, it didn’t seem to contain much historical events and other memories at all.

Also, Lia was more interested in monster physiology-related subjects as a student; thus, geography and history weren’t her forte.

”The drastic change in the geography of the demon continent is not natural at all...”

”I don’t know the details too, but it seems that the current demon king changed the entire demon continent’s geography by himself...”

Rio actually knew the demon king quite well; the other party had appeared in the novel, and Rio even knew that his ’World Authority’ was very unique too.

In the original novel, Fade confronts the demon king around the late stages of the novel, and as a child of heavens, Fade and the demon king, who had turned into a ’vessel’ of that final boss enemy, fought on sight!

The demon king himself didn’t have many scenes in the original novel, and by the time he had appeared, Fade was already too strong for him, so he didn’t manage to do much at all.

At most he was a slightly more important side character, but things have changed a lot compared to the original novel, so Rio didn’t dare underestimate him either.

’Alverto’s appearance was already a major butterfly effect... the demon king likely will also behave completely different compared to the original novel as things have changed a lot...’

’Well, not like I am going to meet that fellow anytime soon... I would wait until I reach rank SS before I go to challenge anyone as strong as him...’

The current demon king might have lost to Fade in the novel, but that was just a weakened version of him, which had been turned into a mindless vessel of a higher being.

In his prime state, the demon king had fought Ashtel Rex just a few decades ago when the Alverto headquarters raid incident happened.

The two of them seem to have fought for quite some time before retreating, and as the demon king is still alive even after fighting ’THE’ Ashtel Rex, it’s clear that he’s definitely not weak at all.

”You are more knowledgeable about history and geography than I expected Rio... have you been studying in secret or what?”

Hearing Lia’s question, Rio shrugged his shoulders and replied,

”Don’t forget I was rank 3 in theory exams in the academy just behind Link and Kira...”

”You can say that I have studied many things about this world in detail...”

The main reason why Link and Kira were ahead of him was mainly because they had a lot of knowledge about languages and cultures of the past.

’If we consider the knowledge from the novel... I might know more about this world than even most SS-rankers...’

”Let’s go; the boss monster is clearly giving off its aura because it has likely already noticed us and is clearly challenging us for a battle...”

”We shouldn’t keep it waiting any longer...”

The commotion that Lia caused during her battle in Kenorland was enough to make the entire continent aware that something was going on in this place.

And as this dungeon was clearly imitating the past, it was clear that there were many demons attacking the Fairyland at the same time.

Most of them must have already noticed that Rahn and his entire army have been completely wiped out, as the density of miasma and corruption in this place has been reduced a lot!

”Yeah! Let’s go!”

With an excited look on her cute face, Lia used the newly gained ability to fly in the air for the first time without needing the help of her wings of light!

Now she can fly just like any other S-ranker with just minimal mana consumption!

She stretched out her hand towards Rio as she floated in the air and spoke,

”Shall we go?”

Rio smiled slightly, took her hand, and flew with her into the sky as he spoke to James and Kai.

”The responsibility of taking care of the little fairies, Bela and RJ, is on you two; we are off to play!”

Kai was surprised after hearing those words as he asked,

”Eh? Do I not need to assist you this time Lia?”

Lia shook her head as she smiled brightly.

”No need... I am now much stronger than before... Also, Rio is here, so let me have fun by myself today!”

With that said, Rio and Lia both headed straight towards the direction of the boss monsters of the dungeon, leaving James and Kia behind.

”After her boyfriend came, she’s already forgotten about us all... sigh...”

James pretended to sulk but Kai rolled his eyes and replied,

”You had so many years to enjoy being her father; it’s you who wasted the opportunity by not taking proper care of her and lost that precious time...”

”Let her be what she wants to be now... it’s her time to do things her own way now; you won’t have a choice in this anymore...”

Hearing those words, James could only sigh in helplessness.

”Sigh... I brought this upon myself, ugh, let’s go; I will go tell that little girl Bela about my heroic stories instead...”

Saying that James flew towards the little fellows playing around with each other without a care in the world.

Seeing this, Kai also followed behind as he found a good spot to lie in the sunlight to take a small nap!

The warm wind breeze made the place even more cozy and peaceful; if not for the fact that they were inside a dungeon, this was a perfect spot to have a picnic and enjoy the peaceful day pass by slowly.
