Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 664: Bela Anant! Part-5.

Bela’s parents were incapable of dealing with powerful awakeners as they were just ordinary people, and even the awakener friend of theirs was just a low-ranking awakener.

She was incapable of dealing with S-rankers that were almost equal to walking calamities in the eyes of ordinary people.

In that time period when SS-rankers didn’t exist, S-rankers dominated the world and were considered the strongest beings on the planet!

Powerful S-rankers are capable of tanking nuclear attacks head-on without suffering a single scratch, and thus, possessing S-rankers in the army was a massive deterrent for a nation in that time period.

Although humanity wasn’t a race where everyone was talented like dragons and elves, they had a massive population, and with a massive population, the chances of talented people being born increased tremendously!

By the time Bela became ten years old, some teenagers that were around the age of 15 during Bela’s birth ended up awakening and becoming strong S-rankers in that decade!

In the year 2030, when Bela’s parents started their voyage, humanity already had a few dozen S-rankers, and three were sent directly to pursue Bela and her parents!

Bela’s parents were captured without being able to resist for even a single second, and the mage lady who tried to resist was killed on the spot!

Stuck inside that small chest, Bela could hear the wails and screams outside; she could hear the helplessness of her parents; she could hear the dying scream of the kind lady who helped her parents throughout the journey!

It was a traumatizing incident for a ten-year-old child like her, but she trusted her parents a lot, and thus she followed their words without hesitation!

She put her small hands on her small mouth so that no screams and groans would leak out as she cried for her parents huddled inside that small chest.

She cried in helplessness but didn’t dare to make a single sound and even stopped her breaths just so nobody would find her!

”You think you can hide your daughter in a random chest and escape!? Are you idiots! Do you not understand how powerful S-rankers are!?”

”You are really pathetic!”

To Bela’s shock, the S-rankers easily found her as they effortlessly saw through the camouflage ability of the chest.

The mage lady who had enchanted the chest with her magic was just a low-ranker; her magic was simply incapable of deceiving powerful S-rankers like them.

Even though Bela didn’t let out a single sound, she still got caught easily!

”Take that chest! Hmph! Pathetic! They dare to hide from us! Just you wait; once we are back to the mainland, you will understand what real cruelty means!”

At the order of the S-ranker, a subordinate tried to reach for the hidden chest with his arm, but Bela’s father immediately jumped forward and bit his hand with all his might!

”Ahh!!! This f*cker!”

It was almost as if the ’World’ itself didn’t want Bela to become others’ tool of war; before the awakener could push her father away, a massive whirlpool suddenly opened in the seawater!

”Wha!? What is happening!? The flow of mana changed so abruptly!?”

The massive waves blew away all awakeners along with Bela’s parents, and even those S-rankers were unable to react on time to deal with that sudden change in situation!

The powerful sea waves broke and shattered the entire ship into pieces, and all of the ship’s debris was flung in random directions by the whirlpool!

The chest that carried Bela inside of it was flung straight in the direction of the ’Fairyland’!

Even with three powerful S-rankers working together, they weren’t able to stop the wrath of the ’World,’ and they were all powerless to prevent Bela from escaping that day!

The next day, debris from the broken ship washed up on the shore of the fairy continent near the beach of Kenorland!

Nova, who just happened to be on a stroll around the beach that day, found Bela by a twist of fate!

All the rolling, spinning, and turmoil had caused Bela to faint inside the chest, and by the time she came back to her senses, she found herself sleeping on a large, comfortable bed inside the Temple of Nature!

...

”You are finally awake? I must say, human children sleep a lot!”

”This is my first time seeing a human kid but it seems that human kids are actually quite cute and adorable...”

Nova, who was sitting nearby, looked at Bela with her big curious eyes, and Bela did the same too.

She sat up and looked at Nova with surprise in her eyes!

”The little toy doll is speaking!?”

As fairies are only about as big as girls’ toy dolls, Bela mistook Nova for a toy doll and felt quite surprised that she could talk!

”I am not a toy doll kiddo... By the way, are you hungry? I did hear somewhere that human children drink only milk when they are young...”

”What about you, little girl? What’s your name? Do you want to drink milk?”

”Although we fairies don’t have the ability to create breast milk for you, with magic we can definitely create regular milk for your sake...”

Hearing Nova’s words, Bela puffed up her small cheeks and said,

”I don’t drink milk like babies! I am not a kid! I am ten years old you know! My name is Bela, not ’Kiddo’! hmph!”

At Bela’s words, Nova smiled and brought out delicious berries from her space ring!

”Hoho, we have an energetic guest, it seems. I am Nova, the fairy in charge of the Temple of Nature and the city of Kenorland!”

”Welcome to the land of fairies, Bela!”

With a kind look on her small face, Nova gave Bela tons of berries and fruits to eat!

Kenorland might lack in terms of infrastructure and technology, but the thing that it didn’t lack in was food!

Kenorland had enough food to feed entire nations all by itself! It was such a resource-rich and fertile land that all kinds of fruits and rare plants grew in this place.

*Groannn~*

Although she was in a foreign place, Bela couldn’t resist the loud groans of protest of her small tummy and took the food presented in front of her happily!

And thus, the grand adventure of Bela Anant began!
