Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 970: Visiting Evelyn

Over the next several days, Nathan spent his time in the Sleeping Garden. Under Evelynʼs guidance, he gradually deciphered his magic.

Thanks to her, he noticed the similarity of the flow between his five magics, making him realize they formed one universal dictionary that could be used for everything.

It would take a while, but without a doubt, he should be able to get a dictionary for his time magic and somehow develop his magic from there.

Nathan had shared the plan for his trip, including how much he wanted to enter the alien territory despite knowing how dangerous it was.

Although Bella was worried, Evelyn had promised that she would ensure his safety and even guide him there.

Hence, even if Nathan was about to die, she could teleport to his side and help him. Even an extremely powerful alien wouldnʼt be able to catch Evelyn and Nathan thanks to Evelynʼs element.

Still, if Nathan could get stronger, they would have a higher chance of taking down the Divine Hand. In the end, they wanted to eliminate the Divine Hand without suffering a single casualty.

So, Nathanʼs strength would be crucial here.

While Nathan studied his magic, the other girls were not idle either.

In the Ashton familyʼs territory, Selena extended her hand, meeting Lilithʼs hand. There was a wound on their palms, which ended up touching each other.

”Weʼre now inseparable. I am your familiar. I will fulfill your wish and grant you my strength. Use it however you see fit, but you have to make sure that you grow strong enough so as to not become an embarrassment of my power,” said Lilith while staring at Selena.

Selena nodded. ”I will do my best to grow stronger and stronger. I will prove to the world that I, too, can become a leading summoner.”

”With this, the lifebound contract is completed. Can you feel the change in your body?” Lilith asked, as she had already seen the change in her appearance. Selenaʼs eyes were red before, but this time, they were bright red.

”Yes.” Selena confirmed it. ”Although Iʼm still unable to release this element, Iʼm planning to work hard so that I donʼt embarrass you.”

Lilith nodded. ”While you are not a vampire, donʼt forget that Iʼm a vampire… If you donʼt mind…”

Selena smiled gently. ”Donʼt worry. I donʼt think Nathan would mind. I will tell him about it. Besides, Risa is doing the same thing.”

Lilith nodded. ”I get the feeling that thereʼs indeed one more step after a progenitor… even though Iʼm not entirely sure what it is… If I have to call it… It will be something like a primordial vampire.”

Selena raised her eyebrows. She understood what it meant to be a primordial being. If that was the case, Lilithʼs strength might surpass that of a god.

”I see… Well, it doesnʼt matter right now. We can only keep trying.”

”Indeed. For now, Risa has gotten all that blood. She might not think itʼs much, but the karma inside that blood is residing in her body, without her being able to fully digest it. If she manages to refine it, her talent will soar even further.

”I will also teach her blood control. I donʼt care if you lose to him, but make sure you donʼt lose to anyone else.” Lilith winked playfully. Of course, the people in her mouth were none other than Sera and the others.

Selena only nodded her head for that request.

With this, the lifebound ritual had officially ended, and Selena had gained the blood element. With Risa and Lilith as well as her own potential, Selena was on her path toward the top.

Her master, the Sage, would guide her along the way. Her father would accompany her now and she even gained the favor of Duke Coline. Now that she could fully focus on her own journey, it was time for her to grow stronger and help Nathan.

Sera, on the other hand, was confused about what kind of element she should get to the point where she asked for the popeʼs guidance.

Normally, someone like him would tell her to choose Raphael. But the Pope was different. He rose to this position not only because of Michael but also because of his wisdom.

The Pope closed his eyes. ”I see. Thatʼs indeed a hard choice.”

”Are you not going to tell me to pick the light element, Your Holiness?” Sera asked.

”No. Who determines darkness to be bad and light to be the correct path? If light is the only thing correct, God wonʼt create day and night.” The Pope asked, ”I believe you have two paths you can choose this time.”

”Light or dark?” Sera tilted her head in confusion.

”No. The first one is an element that encompasses both of them, such as light and dark, day and night, white and black… or something along those lines. The second option will be to not have a single lifebound familiar.” The Pope smiled. ”I canʼt provide you with a better answer for the first one…

”However, I know how to support a person without an element. Since the matter about Selena has been resolved, I think itʼs time for me to give him a dowry. Then again, if you were an ordinary saintess, you would have to remain pure, and we have no such tradition as dowry.

”Hence, I will only be giving you the technique so that you will be able to support him. Make sure you work hard.”

Sera looked happy. Among the saints and saintesses, Sera might be the most gullible, but she was also the purest. That was why the pope was more fond of her than anyone else.

He just smiled, believing that this disciple of his would do well.

Just like these two, Flora, Alavenya, and Noelle were also working hard in their own way.

A few days passed, and Nathan finally returned to the city.

He was supposed to visit his teacherʼs house to make sure she was alright, but Nathan got a surprise this time.

Nathan was sitting on the floor with his back leaning on the door. Surprisingly, his teacher was in front of him, hugging him so tight as if she didnʼt want to let him go.

Her body was shaking, revealing her fear. Nathan could only look up, asking himself, ʼWhat is happening now…ʼ
