Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 963: Nathan vs Evelyn (1)

”Then, go!”

The moment they heard the signal, their expressions turned serious.

The first thing Nathan did was actually leap back. Normally, it would be him to attack because of the goal, but Evelyn actually leaped forth, taking the initiative to attack. It was as if she wanted to knock him down.

Evelyn punched forth, her fist getting covered with her ena.

Fenrir suddenly jumped between them, shielding Nathan with his own body.

However, the most shocking thing was the sudden emergence of an ʼunknownʼ magic circle underneath them.

The magic circle had a black and white swirl in the middle with several lines in all eight directions. This was none other than Qilinʼs bagua he previously used to fix Nathanʼs messed-up luck.

But for Evelyn, this bagua was simply too shocking. After all, the ena in her fist suddenly disappeared, as if it was being neutralized. She ultimately punched Fenrir in the face without any ena.

”Kh.” Fenrir only gritted his teeth. Even though it didnʼt have any ena, Evelyn was still a world class summoner. Her physical strength was still above his, who had unlocked his Absolute Strength divinity.

Still, thanks to Qilin, he managed to withstand this attack properly.

”!!!” Evelyn looked surprised, not expecting the first attack to leave only this much damage.

”Arenʼt I supposed to be the one attacking since I should get a clean hit on you, not the other way around?” Nathan grinned.

Evelyn harrumphed. ”Thereʼs no rule saying I wonʼt attack. Isnʼt that why you jump away the moment we start?”

”I know, right?” Nathan raised his hand.

There was another reason for Fenrir jumping in the way. Although his body wasnʼt as big as Kunʼs, he was still big enough to cover Evelynʼs vision.

During that time, Nathan summoned the bullets and shot them underground.

As if noticing the incoming bullets, Evelyn stomped the ground with so much force that it destroyed the ground. ”Do you think I will miss all the ena underground?”

”Of course not. Thatʼs why theyʼre special.”

”!!!” Evelyn raised her eyebrows as the ground suddenly lit up before a massive explosion hit her.

Boom!

The bullets he sent were not just normal bullets. They were explosive bullets. Nathan knew Evelyn would find out and destroy them.

That was why he used explosive bullets. Not only did they take her by surprise, but they also covered her vision.

Nidhogg and Peng spread their wings, gathering their power in their throats. At the same time, they released their breaths.

”Chaos Breath.”

”Celestial Breath.”

The wind and the fire flew in harmony and fused at the last moment before hitting the ground. The wind burst, spreading the flame so that Evelyn couldnʼt escape.

”!!!” Bella couldnʼt help but widen her eyes. The flame wasnʼt ordinary. ʼWhat is that? The trees… Theyʼre not burning… Theyʼre disintegrating…ʼ

That was right. Between Jinwu and Nidhogg, Nathan chose to give Nidhogg his divinity, believing this was the correct choice for the team. Of course, he didnʼt account for this kind of bet, but fortunately, Nidhogg was better on a single target compared to Jinwu.

But it wouldnʼt affect someone as strong as Evelyn.

The smoke suddenly swirled around before getting dispersed to the surroundings, showing Evelyn simply standing as if nothing happened.

She pointed her finger up as the tip of her finger released her ena, changing the gravity at her fingertips to disperse the attack from earlier.

”Good. Youʼre this strong. I can step up my game as well.” Evelyn raised her right foot and expanded her gravity before stomping the ground.

”!!!” All of a sudden, all of them felt like they were being crushed by an invisible force from above.

Evelyn was pressuring them with gravity. Two times, three times, four times… The gravity continued to increase as she was gradually crushing them.

”Qian!” Qilin shouted.

In that instant, the pressure disappeared. Just like how the ena in her fist disappeared earlier, her gravity disappeared this time.

”!!!” Evelyn didnʼt expect this kind of ability.

Of course, Nathan also didnʼt know Qilin would have this kind of ability. When Nathan asked what Qilin could do, he only got one response from Qilin.

”Just like Yin and Yang, the world needs balance. Once there is a balance, everything lives in harmony. I donʼt want to personally harm other living beings, but I can maintain balance.” Qilin said it with such a profound tone, but he ended it with, ”If they get hurt because of me maintaining that balance, I canʼt say anything about it.”

The moment Nathan saw this power, he finally understood what Qilin meant. By maintaining balance, he simply neutralized everyoneʼs power. In other words, Qilin was a defense specialist. He didnʼt expect Qilin would have this ability.

Now that Evelyn was stopped, Jinwu flew up into the sky and spread his wings as wide as possible, gathering all the sunlight in the air.

”Sun Domain. Day!”

The sun changed as though the sun suddenly went up directly above their heads. He then shot all the sunlight he had gathered directly at Evelyn.

Evelyn waved her fingers up. The gravity flew off her fingertips and slashed the sunbeam. Qilin hurriedly activated his power, trying to neutralize her power.

”Heaven!”

To Qilinʼs surprise, Evelyn waved her hand. In the micro world, they could see the two attacks released their own particles, and Evelynʼs particles somehow matched the ones coming from Qilinʼs ability, resulting in both of them neutralizing each other.

”!!!” Qilin didnʼt expect someone could actually counter his ability.

Still, she was against eight opponents this time. The moment she was occupied with Jinwu, Mae approached her.

She opened up her fan and split her body into four. She opened her eyes wide, her golden eyes exuding pink-colored energy.

At the same time, Fenrir charged forward while Anubis also activated his domain as he turned into his humanoid form.

”Payback for that punch!” Fenrir raised his paw as though he wanted to slap her. Meanwhile, Anubis snapped his finger and summoned his scale. ”Judgment.”

Evelynʼs eyes glinted as she clapped her hands. In that instant, the gravity increased by multiple folds and their directions were turning into a circle, causing a powerful shock wave that pushed everything away.

”Kh!” Mae clicked her tongue as her clones disappeared.

Anubisʼ scale cracked, but Fenrir simply slapped that shock wave with his paw as though it was something he could touch. Then he leaped toward Evelyn, challenging Evelyn head-on.
