Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 968: Nathan vs Evelyn (Last)

Bella couldnʼt believe it. Nathan was actually forcing her to choose whether to take this attack head-on or use the teleportation to avoid it. There was simply no other way.

Even with her domain, deflecting this amount of energy was impossible. Of course, it would have been different if she could use her space element in this fight. After all, both the gravity and space elements were complementing each other, allowing her to release a stronger strength.

But with the current limitation, Bella couldnʼt see any other ways for her to avoid this attack. She didnʼt know if Evelyn could receive this attack unscathed.

”This was indeed the end… for me a few months ago…” Evelyn stepped forth and raised both hands. She would show something that no one thought of.

She grabbed the air as though it had a physical body.

”What?” Nathan gasped.

Evelyn ripped apart the air as if it was a piece of paper. It generated enough pressure to actually force the world to think it had been ripped apart, causing all those bullets to flow according to the ripped parts.

In other words, all those attacks missed Evelyn. All she had to do was to block the explosion with her barrier.

”Are you serious…” Nathanʼs body shook. Although the barrier took a beating, this attack didnʼt harm her.

”Iʼve told you not to teach your ability to others,” said Evelyn. She gained inspiration from Nathan, specifically his discharge technique. ”In the past, I opened up the void by utilizing the ena.

”However, after learning about your discharge technique, I thought I could open it in a different way. Using my fingers like a weapon, I slice open the top layer of space, which is the one separating this real world and the void.

”Since your power follows this world, by ripping apart that layer, they will move according to that layer. And because Iʼm not using my space element, Iʼm able to avoid linking it from the void. You should know already that my gravity can even distort space. The distortion around my fingers allows me to create this effect.

”In other words, thanks to your discharge technique, Iʼm able to come up with this new magic. If you want to blame someone, blame yourself for not listening to me. Iʼve told you to not say anything about your technique.”

Despite saying those words, Evelyn was pretty happy because it was thanks to him she could improve.

Nathan smiled wryly, remembering what the elder said when he divined his future. His luck definitely could make the girls strong, but it might also be the reason for his downfall. This was probably what he meant.

Although there were a few things he could say, he could only shake those thoughts off for a second because this was a perfect time to defeat Evelyn.

”In that case, thereʼs no other way…” Nathan took a deep breath before shouting, ”Blink!”

”!!!” Evelynʼs body instinctively reacted by grabbing things in front of her. To her surprise, Nathan suddenly appeared before her, infiltrating even her barrier.

”What?!” Bella dropped her jaw to the ground. ”Isnʼt that… teleportation? No, isnʼt it Evelynʼs Blink?”

”Just like how you improve using my technique, I can do the same.” Nathan grinned, using the Soul Contract to activate the blink.

Although Evelyn was surprised, she hurriedly pushed him down while applying the gravity magic on him.

”Yeah. But you should know you are not my match.” Evelyn grabbed his hands and locked them, planning to finally beat Nathan down. This was the foolish decision he had made this whole time.

”But my role is not to defeat you.” Nathan winked playfully despite having a hard time because of the gravity. He held her hands as tightly as possible so that she couldnʼt get up.

At the same time, Jinwu and Nidhogg released their breaths at the same time. Peng activated his Celestial Wind to fuse them together.

Anubis activated his Divinity again, taking the other foot. This way, Evelyn had no way to escape.

ʼHeʼs planning to defeat me like this? It doesnʼt matter. Even though my barrier is almost destroyed from the previous attack, I can still hold this attack back. All I have to do is ensure that the dragon-looking horse canʼt neutralize my ability with his. In the meantime, I will defeat him!ʼ

Evelyn pushed Nathan down. ”I just have to defeat you first.”

”Do it if you can!” Nathan wasnʼt afraid. This was the last trump card he had prepared in case the Time Seal didnʼt work.

The breath hit the barrier and disintegrated it, but their residual energy was being deflected by the spherical domain Evelyn had. As long as she had this, their breath would be useless.

Qilin tried to neutralize it, but Evelyn simply glanced in his direction, controlling her own ena to neutralize the particles he sent, rendering him useless.

Still, Nathan had one more familiar. Fenrir had finally reached her, slapping her head.

”Surprise!” Fenrir grinned. He struck the barrier, but the gravity deflected it to the side, making him lose his balance. ”!!!”

”I know you are going to appear at this time.” Evelyn harrumphed and released the burst of energy at the last moment, blasting Fenrir away.

”Heh. Impressive, but not really…” Fenrir smirked, his form gradually turning back to Mae. It turned out Mae was impersonating Fenrir.

Meanwhile, the real Fenrir appeared by using the same blink. With the contract storage, he could store two similar contracts with different recipients. Instead of space, he chose to contract the ability itself, which allowed him to pay less ena. Then again, it was all provided by the magazine.

With the Soul Contract, he should win, and without using the specific element too much, Evelyn would still be confused about the details of his innate ability.

ʼAnother blink? He has a space element as well? No, I donʼt care about it. Heʼs going to attack… It should be fine… My domain should twist his paw and make him lose balance again. Although I canʼt send him away, since I donʼt have any more energy to spare, I can use that little time to defeat Nathan.

”There are five domains, not four. This is the fifth domain… an absolute domain that can crush any other domains.” Fenrir grinned. ”My domain.”

He struck Evelyn on the back. His paw actually shattered her domain, stunning him. However, the most shocking thing was what happened after that hit.

He slapped her down, causing her body to fall to Nathan. Both the divine beasts and Bella couldnʼt help but drop their jaws.

After all, because of Fenrirʼs strike, Evelyn ended up kissing Nathan.
