Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 967: Nathan vs Evelyn (5)

Evelyn rushed forward, not letting the shadow escape. Although her domain was effective to deflect someoneʼs attack, she also applied gravity to the area. As someone who had fought for so many years, she could easily differentiate humans and other objects once they were pulled by her gravity.

Hence, it wasnʼt hard for her to pinpoint Nathanʼs location. Still, it was amazing enough that Nathan could push Evelyn into using her domain.

”Tsk!” Nathan turned around and formed two bullets on his hands. However, Evelyn was much faster.

She grasped Nathanʼs neck before he could release his attack.

”This is the end,” muttered Evelyn, declaring the result.

Bella let out a sigh, saying, ”I guess this is the end.”

Before Bella could announce the result, Nathan actually smiled. ”Yeah. This is the end.”

”!!!” Evelyn suddenly noticed something. She hurriedly clenched her hand as if she wanted to break Nathanʼs neck, but to her surprise, Nathan turned into mist before disappearing into thin air.

Bella gasped. ”Thatʼs… an illusion?”

Bella couldnʼt believe that she, who used an illusion, would also be fooled by this illusion.

Evelyn turned around, locking her gaze on one person.

Mae simply covered her mouth with her fan while saying, ”It took me a while, but this is indeed the end for you.”

”!!!ʼ Evelyn blinked once, and the scenery had changed.

When she looked around, she saw her body had been captured by Anubisʼ bandage. All the divine beasts had surrounded her, with Nathan giving a peace sign.

It turned out she had been inside the illusion this whole time. She thought she was fighting Nathan, but it was all Maeʼs illusion.

Nathan giggled before saying, ”This is my victory.”

”Yeah…” Evelyn closed her eyes as if she had acknowledged her loss, but her body suddenly shook. The ena leaking out of her body increased drastically, ripping apart the bandages.

It also tore apart the illusion of getting defeated, returning her consciousness back to the real world.

”!!!” Evelyn let out a heavy breath. She never thought, despite knowing a lot of things about illusion from Bella, she would still fall into an illusion.

Mae, despite having strength much weaker than Bella, utilized her illusion at a much higher mastery.

Unfortunately, Mae didnʼt buy enough time for them to take down Evelyn.

In fact, other beasts hadnʼt reached her yet.

”You are good.” Evelyn stomped the ground and released all the ena she had.

It was Fenrirʼs turn to get surprised. The gravity was pushing him downward, crushing his body.

”Khhh…” Fenrir gritted his teeth. The gravity increased again and again. At this rate, he might get knocked out by all this pressure.

However, if the one she crushed earlier was nothing but an illusion, then where was the real Nathan?

The moment the thought appeared, a huge fluctuation of ena could be felt in the surrounding area.

”This is…” Evelynʼs heart skipped a beat. She never thought that Nathan had set this kind of trap.

There were several bombs around her. Unlike the previous one, the impact would definitely be so huge that even Evelyn would have a hard time stopping with her limitation.

”GO!” Evelyn waved down, using her gravity to push the bomb downward and burying them underneath the ground.

Boom!

All the bombs exploded at the same time. Fenrir, who was freed by Qilin, immediately charged forward.

However, if defeating Evelyn was that easy, they wouldnʼt have to combine all their strength to fight her.

Despite being blasted by the bombs, Evelyn managed to wave her hand, showing that the bombs had no effect on her.

She caught Fenrirʼs paws. To avoid her overpowering him, Fenrir used his Gigantification.

At the same time, Peng turned into Kun and fell from the sky, planning to use his own weight to help Fenrir overpower Evelyn.

Nidhogg and Jinwu flew around to search for an opportunity while Anubis, Mae, and Qilin maintained their distance.

”I have underestimated you. I will admit that. Thatʼs why, as an apology, I will fight you with all my might this time.” Her eyes turned bloodshot.

Fenrir was surprised because his body started to float. He couldnʼt apply any pressure on her.

”I canʼt move. This is gravity…” Kun couldnʼt utilize his power. Both of them were heavy, yet even with all that weight, Evelyn easily levitated them.

The moment they saw Fenrir and Kun being at a disadvantage, Anubis activated his Divinity.

The scale appeared from the ground. ”Judgment.”

The scale released a golden energy, affecting Evelynʼs own energy.

Evelyn noticed she lost the feeling in her right leg. It was as if the leg wasnʼt there anymore.

”Punishment!”

The scale tilted to the side as Evelyn felt like the energy was leaving her body. No, it was more like her soul being sucked into the scale.

Evelyn snapped her fingers, shifting the gravity on Fenrir and Kun so that she could throw them at Anubis.

”Oh no…” Anubis widened his eyes, not planning to be crushed by Kun.

Fortunately, Kun reacted fast enough and hurriedly turned back to Peng and used his wind to stabilize the body, ultimately avoiding Anubis. However, Fenrir couldnʼt do so and just crashed into Anubis, destroying his scale.

”Kh…” Evelyn gritted her teeth. The effect from that scale hadnʼt worn off. Her body felt weak, and she still didnʼt feel her leg. Nevertheless, her control was good enough that she could control her leg with ena, so it shouldnʼt hinder her too much.

But there was still one question. Where was Nathan? Even after all this fighting, Nathan was still nowhere to be seen. It was suspicious. He wasnʼt a coward who would let his familiars do all the work.

All she could think of was Mae hiding Nathan somewhere with her illusion, waiting for the perfect timing.

And there was nothing more perfect than this moment.

”Release!”

Evelyn suddenly felt chills down her spine. This fluctuation surpassed anything that his familiars could ever release.

She couldnʼt help but glance to the side, seeing a massive magic circle suddenly disappearing, releasing all the energy it had contained at the same time.

That was right. This was Nathanʼs Time Seal. His plan was simple. By making Evelyn focus on Maeʼs illusion that would mess up her mind, Mae managed to hide Nathan from Evelynʼs mind.

In addition, Qilin helped Nathan by maintaining balance, which was the reason she couldnʼt feel this much energy the whole time. Once Nathan released that time seal, the balance and the illusion were broken.

However, Evelyn had no choice but to take this attack head-on or avoid it by using her space element.

”This is the end.”

Boom!
