Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 959: Micro Ena Manipulation

”This is the basic concept of magic.”

”…” Nathan furrowed his eyebrows.

”Normally, you will understand a certain concept regarding oneʼs magic, right? For example, my gravity. Gravity is a force that pulls you toward the ground.” Evelyn closed her eyes while releasing a bit of her energy. ”With that understanding, you release your magic. What will happen?”

Nathan closed his eyes. He activated his Acceleration magic without the magic circle. This was the purest form of magic, meaning it accelerated everything, including aging.

Nathan could sense the ena scattering around the area, each of them moving in a certain pattern. ”I see a pattern.”

”Yep. This is the flow of magic. When we understand this and modify it to a certain extent, we will be able to create a magic circle. Itʼs something you have done, correct?”

”Yes.” Nathan nodded.

”In that case, letʼs change the method.” She paused for a moment. This time, she didnʼt utilize her magic. Instead, she purely spread her ena without using your magic. ”Spread your ena into the surrounding without doing anything.”

Nathan did it. If everyone looked at them from their perspective, it looked like two people dispersing their ena into the air. However, for both Nathan and Evelyn, they could sense each ena with a different flow.

Because Nathanʼs ena carried the time element, its pattern was different from Evelynʼs ena. Each of them had a unique pattern, which was the key to finding oneʼs magic.

”What do you see now?”

”Patterns… tons of patterns… I donʼt even know which one I should focus on… At this point, Iʼm a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of these patterns…” Nathan bit his lips, feeling uncomfortable.

”You are correct. Then take a look at this…” Evelyn moved her ena toward Nathan this time.

Both of them could sense that the particles were clashing with each other because they were flowing toward each other.

From the outside, it looked like their ena were pushing each other. But for them, they could see the numerous battles for each particle.

”…” Nathan fell silent. ”What is this all about?”

”This is what happens when two elements meet. Theyʼre going to clash with each other. Ultimately, it is going to cause a massive eruption with enough ena provided into their clash.

”Once that happens, your heart will explode and you will die. This is what happens to the people who have two lifebound familiars.

”However, take a look at this.”

Evelyn changed the flow of her ena. One by one, the flow was fixed, allowing her ena to pass Nathanʼs ena. As a result, there was no conflict. Even from an outsider perspective, they would see their ena actually passing each other.

”This is…” Nathan gasped. ”You can do that?”

”This is my method. By altering the flow of my ena, I create my original magic. The process itself is similar to the creation of a magic circle.

”But for magic circles, we are interpreting and projecting the flow of ena into 2 dimensions, correct? Meanwhile, for magic, weʼre doing it in 3 dimensions.

”When I got my second element, this was what actually happened. The elements first clashed with each other, almost killing me.

”Fortunately, I managed to get away and take my time in changing their flow. You can imagine it as there are two forces in my heart, clashing with each other.

”However, after fixing them, their energy ends up passing each other and gets circulated all around my body without clashing. This is the reason Iʼm still alive.”

Nathan couldnʼt believe it. This task was simply too hard. After all, they were talking about tens of thousands of particles.

He finally understood why Evelyn was considered a genius of her generation. Selena was indeed a genius in ena manipulation, but that was simply a macro manipulation.

Meanwhile, Evelyn was a genius in micro manipulation.

”This is… unbelievable.” Nathan sucked in a cold breath.

”Either way, this is what Iʼm going to teach you. Because you donʼt understand much about time, weʼll manipulate it in a way weʼre able to create magic.

”To put it simply, this is a method that allows you to form your magic without even understanding the concept of your magic. The effect itself might be trial and error, but if you have some understanding about magic circles, this process shouldnʼt be too hard.

”Letʼs do it again from the beginning, shall we? Retract your ena first.”

”Understood.” Nathan took a deep breath, his eyes still closed.

”Now, release your ena.”

”Yes.” Nathan followed her instruction and released his ena slowly and carefully.

”Good. Now, letʼs activate one of your magic.”

Nathan activated the Acceleration again. By activating this magic, he suddenly noticed a lot of them moving differently, as if theyʼre getting strengthened because of his ena.

”Do you notice something?”

”Yes. Some are getting strengthened.”

”Thatʼs what overlapping means. And now, we will use this magic as the basis of our interpretation. What is this magic all about?”

”The magic is about the acceleration of my body, meaning my time will be faster than others, whether itʼs my thought process or even my aging.”

”Aging?” Evelyn looked concerned. ”Change to another magic that wonʼt harm your body.”

”…” Nathan paused for a moment, but in the end, he changed the magic to Deceleration. ”In that case, this is the same magic as the one I showed you earlier. It will decelerate an object.”

”Good. Deceleration means slowing down speed, we will begin dissecting the magic flow.”

”I understand.” Nathan nodded.

”First, split them into four quadrants, with you as the center. You will now fix the first quadrant and try to deactivate them before casting that magic onto yourself.”

Nathan followed her words as he carefully singled them out before stopping the ena flow toward this section.

It was hard, but still manageable for Nathan.

Once he succeeded, he then used that magic on himself to test the difference.

”Hmm…” Nathan fell silent. ”Iʼm not entirely sure. It doesnʼt seem to be doing anything… No, wait. If I have to say it, it is slowing me down, but the effect is weaker than what the magic is supposed to have.”
