Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 591: Distributing the Ena

”So, I have 140,000 ena that I can distribute right now without affecting my quality. The question will be who will receive it?

”From what I can see, Iʼm thinking about giving you 50,000 for the first one, 40,000 for the second one, 30,000 for the third one, and 20,000 for the last one. And letʼs discuss who will receive them,” Nathan explained.

”!!!” All of them couldnʼt help but widen their eyes. Even Nidhogg, who was too lazy to do anything, became energetic.

”I can get the first one.” Jinwu hurriedly raised his wing. ”My ability will increase drastically by this ena. I believe I will get some abilities that allow me to have a chance against a warrior class alien!”

”A chance? If I get 50,000 ena, I will be able to fight them on my own!” Fenrir stopped Jinwu, proudly declaring his strength.

”You guys are not suitable. Iʼm the strongest one. Iʼm a dragon. If I can get this 50,000 ena, my body will grow bigger, gradually approaching my original size. Besides, this will also mean stronger physical abilities as well as more powerful chaos fire.” Nidhogg harrumphed.

Only Anubis who remained calm through the whole thing.

”Youʼre not going to say anything, Anubis?” Nathan raised his eyebrows.

”Nope. Iʼm fine getting the last one. I will ultimately still have a total of 42,000 ena, still 2,000 more than the one receiving the third one.” Anubis shook his head. ”Besides, I was supposed to unlock the Punishment if I had 50,000 ena. Since I have unlocked it in the previous contract, itʼs better to give that chance to others.”

That was right. Anubis had received 2,000 ena from his original 10,000 ena during the battle to heal the soldiers. After that, he received 10,000 ena to unlock his Punishment Skill. Even if he got 20,000 ena, he would still be above at least one of them.

Jinwuʼs eyes flashed. He realized that if Anubis didnʼt join the fight, his vote might actually help them. Jinwu hurriedly came to Anubis and said, ”Anubis. You have to support me. Give me your support. If I get the first one, I will help you deal with this wolf.”

”What? You sneaky little bird!” Nidhogg gritted his teeth.

”See, Summoner? His intention is impure. This is unfair. Please judge him.” Fenrir wouldnʼt allow Jinwu to win. He never thought that Jinwu had become more and more cunning.

However, he would never expect Jinwu to actually say, ”Now that I think about it, you have participated in that battle where our dear summoner told us that the one who fought against the mutant would be getting less prioritized for the ena.

”Even if Anubis takes the 20,000 one, shouldnʼt you only get 30,000?”

”!!!” Fenrir widened his eyes in shock. ”That was… Thatʼs right. That was because of the situation. Not only did we have to fight a warrior class alien not long after that, but the circumstances had changed due to the enemy suddenly ambushing us!

”Instead of punishing one who helped the day, it would have been better to reward them!”

Nidhogg smirked. ”Donʼt be a sore loser, Fenrir. Know your place.”

”You bastard!” Fenrir gritted his teeth. ”This is unfair!”

”You brought the trouble to yourself. To think you were acting all high and mighty by telling me I was stupid. Youʼd jinxed yourself, little puppy!” Jinwu harrumphed.

Fenrir hurriedly turned to Nathan. ”Summoner. Iʼve jinxed the entire thing, so you should be thankful to me. After all, if Iʼm not jinxing the entire situation, you wouldnʼt have gotten all that reward. In other words, itʼs thanks to me that the reward is actually more than we originally expected!”

Even Nathan thought he would only get about 70,000 to 100,000 ena in total. So, the rest was purely coming from the minister.

Still, Nathan was quite amused by how these divine beasts were bickering with each other. At the same time, he wasnʼt really annoyed. They were comrades who they could trust their back to, but at the same time, they were still the prideful divine beasts.

Seeing their interaction just warmed his heart. It was like two brothers fighting each other. It would be over in a flash and they would make up after that.

Nathan closed his eyes for a moment before giving his decision. ”Alright. I have made my decision.”

”!!!” The beasts turned their heads toward him.

”Summoner…” Fenrir wanted to fight for his case, but Nathan shook his head, showing that his decision wouldnʼt change.

”The one who will get the 50,000 ena is…” Nathan paused, making the divine beasts impatient. Even Anubis, who didnʼt care much about the decision, twitched his eyebrows as if telling him, ʼJust tell us. Whatʼs with the suspense?ʼ

Nathan raised his finger before pointing at Jinwu. ”You.”

Jinwu hurriedly raised his right wing proudly. ”Hehehehe. Iʼve won!”

Fenrir gritted his teeth, realizing that he had lost. Nidhogg smirked while teasing Fenrir, ”Goodbye, number 3.”

Fenrir glared at Nidhogg, but this time, it was Nathan who replied to Nidhogg. ”What number 3? Youʼre not even the number 3, Nidhogg.”

”Huh?” Nidhogg was dumbfounded.

”Fenrir will be getting 40,000 ena.”

”What?” Nidhogg couldnʼt believe it. ”But he…”

Nathan nodded. ”He is less prioritized, but not least prioritized. At the same time, youʼre lazy while Fenrir is eager to do a lot of things, whether his intention is pure or not.”

Nidhogg dropped his jaw to the ground. At the same time, Anubis and Jinwu somehow could understand the reasoning. If Nidhogg had been a bit more diligent, he would have been the one getting it. However, he kept complaining, even when Nathan asked him to fly, so it couldnʼt be helped.

Fenrir pumped his paw. He didnʼt say anything in case Nathan suddenly changed his decision. ”I humbly accept.”

It appeared the 50,000 ena mark was something important. That was why Fenrir looked so happy. While he could give another 40,000 ena while only giving Anubis 10,000 ena, Anubisʼ ability was simply too important, so he needed a lot of ena.

This was Nathanʼs decision as well as Nathanʼs message to Nidhogg that in the middle of the crisis, he shouldnʼt have been lazy.
