Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 590: Absorbing the Reward

The cocoon beat like a heart, alerting everyone inside the house.

”!!!” All of them turned around, finding the cocoon shine from the inside and showing Sashaʼs silhouette.

Charlotte immediately inspected the cocoon and said, ”It should be finishing soon. Get ready. Also, be careful. Itʼs carrying the death energy.”

As she said those words, the cocoon beat once more before it popped, creating a small hole that released the excess energy.

This energy made everyone feel alarmed. After all, the entire house was made of wood, so the moment this death energy touched it, the wood started to wither.

”!!!” Vivian hurriedly waved her hand, releasing her own energy.

This ena carried an abundant life force that the wood could feed on to restore itself.

As a result, the withered wood returned to its normal state once again. Vivian continued pouring her ena so that Sashaʼs energy didnʼt destroy her house.

At the same time, Charlotte observed the cocoon carefully before she suddenly pointed her palm at the cocoon. A translucent barrier formed in front of her a few seconds before the cocoon burst, releasing all the death energy within it.

Charlotteʼs barrier blocked it while Vivian released more ena to counter the death energy. No, she didnʼt just restore the wood furniture but also overwhelmed the death energy with the life force.

The cocoon crumbled as Sasha gracefully landed on the floor. Her wings were almost twice the previous size. Her tail didnʼt turn into a snake, but it was clear that it had become a bit bigger compared to the previous one.

Her body was naturally exuding the death energy.

”Ha…” Sasha blinked in disbelief. She didnʼt expect that she would be able to become strong as well.

For one last time, Nathan activated his contract to check her status.

Name: Sasha

Level: 88

Ena: 1,500

Absorption Rate: 35%

Skill Unlock: 100%

Race: Lilitu

Quality: Excellent (Low)

Progress: 0%

Talent: 0%

Potential: 0%

Growth: 0%

There was no change in her race, but her quality had improved a lot. She jumped from Good (Low) to Excellent (Low) in a single leap, which was quite shocking. Even Risa didnʼt have that big of a jump. However, Risaʼs evolution was a lot milder.

”Mhmm…” Nathan frowned. ”Now that I think about it, does a race that has a lot of evolution stages have an easier challenge to evolve? That also means the leap in their quality is not as big as the one who doesnʼt have a lot of evolution stages.

”It is possible.” Charlotte nodded. ”However, the fact that the progress resets once you evolve means you donʼt need to exceed the requirement.”

”Fair enough. We donʼt have to waste too many materials on it.”

Vivian, on the other hand, noticed Sasha was still exuding the death energy, so she said, ”Restrain your energy. Donʼt ruin my house.”

”Ah!” Sasha was startled but hurriedly retracted all the energy. After that, she turned to Nathan and bent her knees. ”Greetings, Master. Iʼm eternally grateful for this opportunity.”

”Now that you have gotten that strong, it means Selena will be safer. If you want to repay me, just make sure to protect Selena well and keep this matter a secret for the time being. Surprise her.” Nathan winked playfully.

”Yes.”

Nathan turned to Charlotte and Vivian. ”Is there anything else you want to try?”

”No. Iʼve gotten enough data for the time being.” Charlotte shook her head while Vivian shrugged, since she wasnʼt actively participating in this research.

With Sashaʼs evolution, the experiment was concluded. Since Nathan couldnʼt practice while absorbing the cores, he spent the last two days absorbing all the cores they had got.

However, no one would have thought they would receive so many cores at once.

He currently had nine thousand ena before receiving the reward. Hence, he absorbed the mature class cores first.

With every mature class core giving him around 500 to 600 ena, Nathanʼs total ena reached nineteen thousand after absorbing all 18 mature class cores.

However, the real increase would come from the warrior class cores. After all, he received 30 warrior class cores. Even if he calculated with his current absorption rate, he still got about 180,000 ena at the very least.

It would immediately bring him to the grandmaster level. However, Nathan knew that having that much ena would be detrimental since he should share it with everyone.

Hence, he first swallowed 2 warrior class cores, which surprised him by suddenly increasing Nathanʼs quality from Good (High) to Excellent (Low).

It turned out the next limit for the next quality was 30,000 ena.

As a result, the absorption rate increased once again, allowing him to get around 6,500 to 7,000 ena per core from the original 6,000 ena.

With such a result, he better absorbed all the cores first before distributing them to his beasts.

He was once shocked by the quality again. After all, after absorbing 12 more warrior class cores and reaching the 100,000 ena mark, his quality once again increased.

That was right. Nathan finally got Excellent (Mid) quality, which improved the absorption rate further to around 7,500 ena per core.

According to his calculation, the ena that a single warrior class core contained was about 22,000-25,000 ena. But because of his absorption rate, he could only get about 6,000 ena previously.

However, now that he got 7,500 ena per core, he realized that his current absorption rate was around 29-33% from the original 26%.

As Charlotte said, the increase in the absorption rate was exponential, meaning the higher his rank, the bigger the leap.

So, he should feel satisfied with the current result.

He still had 16 warrior class cores in his possession after reaching the 100,000 ena mark, which gave him over 130,000 ena.

Even Nathan was surprised to find out that his ena was over 240,000 after absorbing everything. Unfortunately, there was no more increase in his quality. Hence, after some consideration, he believed he should at least have 100,000 ena for himself to maintain his current quality.

At this rate, he believed he could summon the fifth familiar with all his familiars as well as himself having at least 100,000 ena.

Before leaving for the Black Cat Organization Subjugation, Nathan planned to distribute the excess 140,000 ena to his familiars.

Of course, Fenrir had jinxed himself prior to this distribution.
