Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 582: Bringing the Reward

”Iʼll be teaching you two things.” Vivian raised two fingers. ”The first will be my movement technique. This movement technique is rather complicated, considering itʼs something I adjusted from the elves.

”You probably donʼt know, but elves are good with their footwork because they have to travel within the forest. Whether crossing the uneven terrain or leaping from one tree to another, their footwork has combined flexibility, agility, and stability.

”You are fighting with your bullets most of the time, so having footwork that allows you to remain stable while running away from your opponent will improve your control even more.

”I was supposed to teach you the lesser technique at first, but I might have forgotten about it. And with your current ena vein, you can easily discharge the amount of ena needed to use this footwork.

”The second technique is the breathing technique. Yeah. You should know how important breathing is. Breathing is basically everything.

”By adjusting your breathing, you can get the fresh air to keep your brain going. It can also adjust the flow of your ena.

”My breathing technique is also adjusted from the elves, which will improve your stamina, flow stability, and control.

”In the next two to three days, I will be guiding you and pointing out your mistakes. Are you ready?”

”Yes!”

Vivian usually bought him all the things he needed and gave them to him secretly. In exchange, Nathan had been helping her with some research.

However, this might be the first time Vivian taught him for real. Alisha wasnʼt the one teaching him anymore.

If he thought about it, Alisha might look strong when he first saw her fight the terrorists. However, the current Nathan might feel that Alisha was still a bit stronger, but she was reachable.

He might even win against her under some circumstances.

He realized Alisha was just a normal elf, not a high elf. Just like Sasha, she couldnʼt take part in a lot of battles.

However, Alisha was much more useful compared to Sasha. After all, she was the one handling everything for Vivian. Whether it was handling the household problem, the administration process, or even her job, Alisha was always there.

That was why even though Alisha was weaker compared to Vivianʼs other familiars, her importance might surpass some of them.

This was probably another path that the familiar could take. In fact, Risa might end up becoming similar to Alisha if she had taken care of the household problem without being able to evolve.

Either way, Alisha had done a good job of instilling some basics in him, allowing him to keep up with the training just fine.

As a teacher, Vivian was very thorough. She was even more detailed than Leyfon. Even when his step was half a degree too wide, she would immediately fix it for his form until everything was perfect.

Nathan finally understood the difference between his former technique and these two. He grasped the basic footwork from the academy, but compared to this one, it was trash.

The technique might indeed require more concentration and even 50% more ena, but his speed could easily be doubled. In addition, he gained a lot more than just the speed, which allowed him to fortify all of his basic skills.

The breathing technique was the same. With the circulation of ena within the body becoming smoother, he could keep his thoughts calm even in a desperate situation.

Finally, seven days after Selena was gone, as she promised, she had finally returned. That wasnʼt the most important, though.

After all, Nathan was still waiting for the reward from the previous mission to come. In addition, he had to prepare Selena and brief her about the potential attacker, considering he might not be able to stay by her side when the assassins arrived.

Still, what shocked everyone was that the reward came one day later, as though they were waiting for Selena to return first.

And Nathan couldnʼt help but smell trouble. He thought that he had prepared everything perfectly, but in the end, he realized the situation would definitely go beyond what they originally expected.

Yes, the situation had just gone bad. Even Selena couldnʼt help but expect the situation to go worse than this.

After all, the envoy from the palace was none other than the man who accompanied Nathan on the former mission, the war minister of the Azilia Kingdom.

The war minister came by himself because he didnʼt want to grab a lot of attention, but even so, his appearance wasnʼt so unknown that people could ignore him entirely.

The war minister smiled while waving his hand. ”Iʼve come to give you the reward.”

There was one thing that the war minister requested before handing out the reward. It was so that he received it together with the girls who participated on that mission with him.

Even Selena could see through their intention. Their real reward was not about Nathan alone. Nathan couldnʼt refuse if the reward he brought was given to the girls.

…

A few days ago.

”Yes, after talking with Nathan, I know he is not interested in becoming a noble. He looks like he hates politics so much that if he becomes a noble, he will probably just let his woman handle it for him.

”At the same time, he might get frustrated if the others annoy him too much. If we shower him with gifts, he definitely wonʼt accept it, since it looks like a bribe.

”However, I do know for sure how much he cares for the women around him, especially Selena and Sera, who have officially become his women.

”Hence, I suggest Your Majesty reward Nathan as well as his women.”

Julius looked shocked at his assessment, but it didnʼt seem the minister was mistaken. His expression turned serious. A good reward that wouldnʼt feel repulsive but also bind Nathan even tighter to the Azilia Kingdom. ”Oh… that… Do you have a good suggestion as to what kind of reward I should give, Minister?

The war minister smirked slyly. ”I do.”
