Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 585: Distributing the Cores

”With this, I have delivered all the rewards.” The war minister smiled.

”…” Nathan really wanted to say a few things, but seeing how beneficial the reward was, he couldnʼt really say it.

He was truly outsmarted by this old minister this time.

”Since I have delivered the rewards, itʼs time for me to return. I canʼt leave my office for long.” He politely bowed to Flora before taking his leave. Of course, the reason he left was to avoid giving Nathan enough time to think of another way to counter him. He planned to return triumphant instead of playing another trick.

As a result, Nathan could only sigh.

”Well, take these cores.” Selena immediately came to him and handed over the warrior class cores.

”Hmm?” Nathan raised his eyebrows, not expecting her to give these cores.

”I donʼt have the capability to absorb the warrior class cores yet, so I thought it would be best to leave it to someone who can.”

Nathan thought for a moment before saying, ”Then, I will give my mature class cores in exchange.”

Selena wanted to reject it, but she knew Nathan wouldnʼt like the idea. Hence, she advised, ”In that case, I will just take 15 mature class cores.”

”Thatʼs too low. The value of a warrior class core—!”

Nathan wanted to convince her, but Selena interjected, ”In that case, I will exchange it with 25 mature class cores. One warrior class for five mature class cores. This is the limit. You need the cores more than me, especially with how much you get from a core.”

Looking at her expression, he knew he couldnʼt convince her anymore. So he nodded his head. ”Fine.”

”In that case, Iʼll give mine too.” Sera smiled. ”The reason is the same.”

Nathan couldnʼt really reject it. On the other hand, Alavenya, Noelle, and Flora had already developed a strong enough vein to absorb a warrior class core, so they didnʼt exchange their reward.

”Anyway, weʼve got 2 warrior class cores and 23 mature class cores from the mission before. I think we should give some to Flora and Noelle, considering Flora hasnʼt received a lot of cores while Noelle was the main fighter against the other warrior class core.”

”Nope. Iʼm satisfied with my own reward. Besides, this gem is more important to me than that card, so I believe you should take the reward yourself.” Noelle was the first to reject, knowing that she had received enough reward.

Flora nodded in agreement. ”Even though Iʼm not as strong as Noelle, I still have the most amount of ena, so I donʼt really need cores at the moment. You should take it, Nathan.”

Alavenya nodded. ”Well, I didnʼt really contribute much to the previous mission. It was Risa who killed the majority of the mature class cores.”

”I donʼt need them. I have received a lot of cores when weʼre preparing for the mission.” Sera shook her head. They had to prepare for a week before the expedition, so during that time, Sera received a lot of cores since she was one of the two people that found the tunnels. So, she had an abundant amount of ena.

Selena, on the other hand, said, ”I will just take 15 mature class cores and the rest will go to you.”

This way, Nathan had no other choice but to accept it.

”…” Nathan smiled wryly. As a result, Nathan got a total of 30 warrior class cores and 18 mature class cores.

A single warrior class core alone was equal to ten to twelve mature class cores, so he definitely received more than he originally expected. In addition, other rewards would definitely improve their strength to another level.

So Nathan nodded his head. ”Fine. Letʼs do that. By the way, Selena, can you call Sasha for me? Iʼm planning to test something.”

”Sure.” Selena agreed without hesitation.

”Also, some people might be visiting you soon. I will give you the documents about their identities. The source of that information is quite reliable, but be careful.”

”I know.” Selena had just received this kind of reward, so when the other party noticed the change in her wand, they would definitely be wary of her. Or she could probably play a trick on them to lure them out.

Nathan smiled. ”Do whatever you need to do.”

”Sure.” Selena smiled, knowing that Nathan must have prepared a thing or two to keep her safe. However, he didnʼt plan to actively participate in her personal revenge, since she had to be the one to do it.

Nathan thought for a moment. ”In that case, weʼll be going on the next mission in another 7 to 10 days. Any objection?”

”Nope. That should be good enough.” Flora nodded. She could at least master the basics of traps from Melissa during that time.

Alavenya agreed. She had been sparring with her father, so she didnʼt really care much about the time.

Noelle also thought this was enough time to get accustomed to her new fighting style and absorb the cores, as well as imbuing her sword with the new gem.

Sera crossed her arms, asking, ”Do you have any mission in mind?”

”Not really. Iʼm planning to observe the situation first before making my move. Probably, weʼll do our best to be able to defeat a warrior class alien by ourselves in a few months. Thatʼs the main objective.”

”In that case, can I pick the next mission?” Sera asked.

Nathan glanced at the others. Seeing no objection, Nathan nodded. ”Sure. You know the level of our mission, so just make sure itʼs relevant.”

”I know.”

”In that case, letʼs disperse.” Nathan waved his hand.

They returned to their respective training spots while Nathan led Sasha to Vivianʼs house, where Charlotte was waiting for them.

To his surprise, Vivian was inside, wanting to see the evolution of a new species. Since she already knew about the Soul Contract, he thought it would be fine to have another great mind like Vivianʼs to observe. Besides, she was the one providing the items.

Nathan summoned Anubis to check Sashaʼs overall condition while saying, ”All right. Letʼs begin our test.”
