Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 586: Experiment

”Letʼs begin our test.”

”These are the items. We have been preparing several types of items.” Charlotte showed several items, from herbs to weird devices.

Vivian just sat down on the corner while saying, ”You guys do whatever you need to do. I will just observe from here. If thereʼs anything wrong, I will help.”

”Got it.” Nathan nodded before taking out the card. ”Ah, thatʼs right. Master. I got this as a reward.”

”Hmm?” Vivian raised her eyebrows before recognizing the card. ”Isnʼt that…”

”Do you know it? The war minister told me that this card gives you special access to the kingdomʼs grand library, including the forbidden zone. And youʼre allowed to borrow five books every month and can borrow another five books if you return the previous ones.”

Vivian facepalmed while looking at the black gold card. She walked to a drawer and took out another card, but this one only had a single red color. ”I have it as well. Special access. But this card doesnʼt allow me to access the forbidden zone.

”If Iʼm not wrong, that card has only been given to three people in this world. Two of them have passed away, while the other one is Sage Leyfon.

”Itʼs a special access comparable to the king himself.”

”Oh. Is that such a big deal?” Nathan just handed it to her. ”I donʼt need it, so you should use it. I believe this is much more useful in your hands.”

”Are you sure?” Vivian frowned. ”Even though this card is mainly for the library, it doesnʼt change the fact that having this card alone will grant you some privileges at other establishments.”

”I donʼt need them.” Nathan shrugged.

Vivian hesitated for a moment before accepting the card. ”Fine. Iʼll take it. If you want it back, just say it.”

”Yes.”

”Thanks.”

Nathan smiled. ”Well, how about starting the experiment right now?”

”Sure. All the items have been prepared.”

Charlotte took a step back while saying, ”I will be showing the details with my illusion and keep the record of everything.”

Anubis also moved farther. ”I will check her vitals. If something goes wrong, I will try to suppress the evolution if possible.”

Nathan then turned to Sasha. ”Do you know anything about Lilitu as a race? Does it have a much more powerful figure than you? Is it from the same race or a kind of evolution?”

Sasha thought for a moment before shaking her head. ”Our race remains as Lilitu. However, I do have some memories about potential evolution.”

She started pointing at her body parts. ”The wings of our race will either become bigger or increase in number. I have seen them getting bigger with my own eyes, but I only encountered several lilitus with two pairs of wings.

”In addition, the tail of our race will grow bigger and some will have a snake head as their tail. As for the power, Iʼm not really that aware since weʼre usually operating alone, so no one really knows each otherʼs power other than the fact weʼre born as the creature of the night.”

”Is that so?” Nathan looked down. The biggest way to see evolution would be the wings. He couldnʼt help but wonder if the first evolution would make her wing look bigger, while the second evolution would create another pair of wings on her back.

If that was the case, he should focus on the first evolution while letting Lilith handle the second evolution.

With that in mind, Nathan immediately formed the contract to see Sashaʼs status, this time for 30 minutes instead of 5 minutes.

Name: Sasha

Level: 88

Ena: 1,500

Absorption Rate: 35%

Skill Unlock: 100%

Race: Lilitu

Quality: Good (Low)

Progress: 30%

Talent: 60%

Potential: 90%

Growth: 95%

”Hoh? Isnʼt this rather peculiar?” Charlotteʼs eyes lit up. Vivian crossed her arms, never expecting she could see something more about the status. She just never expected the world would hide this crucial information.

”Her potential and growth are close to 100%. Iʼm not sure… Maybe one of the items here can boost her growth to reach 100%? Thereʼs no need for your contract to increase it to avoid using too much ena. Besides, itʼll also give another set of data.”

Nathan nodded. ”Sure. We can try that. Is there something like that?”

”How about this?” Charlotte pointed at a pale herb. ”This herb is called Withered Flower. It is able to grow in the Land of Dead in the north, which is more of a death and decay than the former Land of Dead in the south where the Asura Palace was built. They were more associated with war and blood.”

Nathan crossed his arms. ”Donʼt you think this one is better to be used as a catalyst? Well, the growth itself can be increased by letting her train physically, so we can skip it for now. How about testing other areas?”

”Fair enough.” Charlotte thought for a moment. ”Even though she is not entirely a vampire, she is still similar to a vampire, right? How about giving her your blood first?”

”His blood?” Vivian frowned. She wasnʼt aware of his blood, so she couldnʼt help but feel suspicious about the experiment if Nathan was just going to hurt himself.

”Ah. Actually, my blood is special. The reason Risa can become a royal vampire is my blood. It might be related to my original ena and the innate ability.” Nathan explained.

”Well…” Vivian pinched the bridge of her nose. ”Sorry, I shouldnʼt disturb you. Just ignore my reaction.”

Nathan nodded his head. ”In that case, letʼs try increasing her talent by using my blood. Should I use the contract?”

”No.” Charlotte handed him a bowl. ”Please pour a bit of your blood here.”

Nathan slid his wrist and poured some blood before Anubis healed him.

”This is the first test.” Nathan gave the bowl to Sasha. ”Since you donʼt normally drink blood, this might be disgusting, but I hope you can do it for your sake as well…”

Sasha looked at the blood in the bowl before nodding her head. She carefully held the bowl before gulping down all the blood in one go.
