Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 560: Return (Bonus)

”Get over there. Weʼll close this tunnel.”

”Drag this to that spot.”

The soldiers started working once morning came. Even the people from the Liaystian Kingdom checked the tunnels personally to confirm the truth.

They were completely stunned to know there were such tunnels so close to them.

Meanwhile, the war minister was waving his hand at Nathanʼs group. ”Weʼll take care of the rest here. You guys should go back and get some rest. Thank you for your hard work this time. Thanks to you, our frontline might not collapse anymore.”

Nathan nodded. ”In that case, weʼll take our leave.”

”Yeah. Once Iʼm done with the arrangement, I will return to the palace and discuss the reward for you.” The minister nodded. After talking to Nathan for the past few weeks, he got a good grasp of the rewards that Nathan couldnʼt refuse.

For the time being, Nathan only brought back some cores for all of them.

The journey back wasnʼt that long, especially with them riding Fenrir.

Once they emerged from the other end of the tunnel, Nathan informed the soldiers about what happened before going to the teleportation circle.

”Weʼre finally home. Iʼm really tired this time.” Flora stretched her body. ”I just want to get a warm bath to wash away my fatigue.”

”In that case, Iʼll take my leave here.” Selena politely bowed to them.

”Already? But we have just returned…” Flora looked surprised.

”Yeah. This is an important matter, and itʼs best to do it as quickly as possible. I will head to the Frexia Academy, so you donʼt have to worry about me. Itʼs not like itʼs going to take that long either.”

”Is that so?” Flora glanced at Nathan. It appeared Selena had discussed it with Nathan first, so she didnʼt really have any objection. ”Take care of yourself then.”

”Mhmm.” Selena nodded.

”If Selena is going, I will also leave today!” Sera raised her hand.

This time, even Nathan was surprised. ”You sure?”

”Yep. Thereʼs something I would like to ask my teacher. Itʼs for my personal improvement, so please.” Sera playfully winked.

Nathan chuckled before patting her head. ”Sure, sure. Take care of yourself.”

”Hehehe.” Sera waved her hand before hugging Selenaʼs arm. ”Letʼs go together.”

Since no one else was leaving, both of them rushed to the city where they could use the teleportation circle to the Frexia Academy or the Holy Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Nathan and the rest returned to their respective business.

Obviously, Nathan knew how dangerous Selenaʼs plan was. Although he wanted to solve it for her, it would probably be better for her to solve it personally. After all, this was a knot in her heart.

If he was the one overcoming it, Selena might always have that knot in her heart, thinking that she wasnʼt good enough that he couldnʼt believe her.

Hence, the only thing Nathan could do was prepare a backup plan. And that was by sending a letter.

ʼI want to talk to Sonia and probably request some help.ʼ

Nathan folded the paper properly before using the teleportation circle that Evelyn had set up to send this letter.

That was right. The answer to his problem might just be Sonia. Even though Sonia was considered one of the weakest among the people in the Sleeping Garden, she was still much stronger than the current Noelle.

Hence, it wouldnʼt be bad to ask for help, especially with the nature of her work. He would owe her a bit, but as long as it could ensure Selenaʼs safety, he didnʼt really mind.

Still, the most shocking thing was Alavenya visiting her father.

”!!!” The Dragon King couldnʼt help but widen his eyes the moment he saw Alavenya. Due to the previous situation, their relationship was awkward, especially since Alavenya ended up kneeling by her own father.

”Whatʼs wrong?” The Dragon King was the first to break the silence.

Alavenya looked down for a moment before clenching her hands into fists. ”Father…”

”Yes?”

”Can I spar with you?”

”En?” The Dragon King looked shocked.

Alavenya took a deep breath. ”Well, I have found some weird problems while progressing my new technique. Because itʼs related deeply to the Dragon Martial Arts, I believe that sparring with you will allow me to get the answer to my questions. Iʼm sorry…”

The Dragon King thought for a moment before smiling slyly. It looked like he had understood what was happening.

”Sure. Should we do it now? No, not now. You should first sort out your thoughts first. If your mind is still jumbled during our spar, you wonʼt get your answer. You have to first straighten all those questions and fight me. Once youʼre done with that preparation, come to me again.”

Alavenyaʼs expression brightened. ”Yes, Father.”

While looking at his daughterʼs back, the Dragon King rubbed his chin, thinking, ʼI donʼt know if itʼs his plan or this expedition is the culprit, but this is a way to solve the awkward relationship between us, I guess.ʼ

That was right. The reason the Dragon King accepted it was because this was the first step to recover their former relationship. He thought Nathan must feel guilty so he arranged it in a way to fix that relationship.

On the other side, Noelle was standing with her sword forward. Murmur and the Horseman of the Apocalypse were standing next to her, with all their eyes closed. It was as if all of them were having a sparring match in their minds together.

After all, Noelleʼs goal was to get stronger together with her familiars and develop their swordsmanship. However, she also aimed to best them and get the best swordsman title.

Looking at how busy people were, Flora couldnʼt help but feel a bit lonely. In the end, she was the only one who didnʼt have any clear plan for improvement. It wasnʼt like there was anyone who could teach her… or was it?

When Flora thought about it, a personʼs figure flashed in her mind. While her lifestyle was questionable, she was still one of the smartest people, and her research was extremely useful.

The moment that person came to her mind, Flora had the urge to visit her right away, believing that she would be left behind if she didnʼt progress.

And that person was none other than Professor Melissa.
