Chapter 289: Mecha Model?

There were just three days left until the start of the Zhuhai Airshow.

Countless military enthusiasts had already arrived, eagerly awaiting the opening of the exhibition. In fact, even before the start of the event, many people had gathered around the exhibition center, cameras in hand, ready to capture the moment.

After all, during the transportation of the equipment, there were still some things that could be photographed without worrying about any issues with the pictures, as these were items meant to be displayed.

There were no concerns about leaking the designs of the equipment.

As for the internals.

That was impossible to capture in a photo.

“This year, what’s with the Americans? Are they going crazy, bringing out all their family treasures?”

The military enthusiasts gathered around the exhibition center spoke curiously.

In recent days, they had seen a lot of American hardware, from tanks and armored vehicles to helicopters and fighter jets.

Normally, even if the United States participated in the exhibition, they wouldn’t bring so many weapons.

This was practically their most advanced active service equipment.

Who knows? Last night, someone said they saw the United States’s B-1B Lancer strategic bomber at the airport,” another enthusiast joined in.

“Really? They’re even selling strategic bombers?”

“Well, it’s outdated. It should have been sold a long time ago. It’s not a stealth bomber, and its supersonic cruising capability is problematic against fifth-generation jets, let alone sixth-generation ones. Without absolute air supremacy, this kind of old strategic bomber is just a target.”

“I’m actually more interested in seeing the White Swan. Although they are somewhat similar, I always felt the White Swan looked better.”

“Nonsense, of course.”

Holy… What’s that being hauled on the trailer?”

“Is that a robotic arm? It doesn’t look like a Transformer. Could it be that the Japanese were bringing a Gundam to the exhibition?”

“No, don’t you think that robotic arm was really well-made? It looked almost real.”

“Look at the trailer’s leaf springs. When the robotic arm was lifted earlier, the trailer bed rose. How heavy was that?”

“It was so heavy, could it have been solid steel?”

Under the watchful eyes of the group of military enthusiasts, three trailers had unloaded the media’s robotic arms.

A mecha’s arm had to be divided into three parts, namely the upper arm, the forearm, and the hand—otherwise, it wouldn’t fit on the trailer.

After the entire robotic arm was brought into the venue, the group of enthusiasts had heatedly discussed which company made this model.

It didn’t matter if it was realistic or not-it was fine as long as it looked cool.

Mecha was the romance of men.

From the various details of the robotic arm, one could tell that this large mecha model had been made with great care, so they wanted to inquire and see which company made it.

Whether they released action figures or smaller models, as long as it wasn’t too expensive, they would have liked to buy and collect it.

While the military enthusiasts were excitedly discussing, the employees of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Group (CASC) had been scratching their heads in frustration.

It had been too difficult.

They originally didn’t have much to do.

This year’s South Gate project had already been completed, and various new weapons, systems, and even new concept equipment had been designed.

However, five days before the start of the airshow, they had received an order from their superiors to add a giant mecha to the South Gate project.

Honestly, they were reluctant at first.

After all, the South Gate project already had the Chengying mecha, so there was no need to redesign another one.

Notwithstanding the fact that a mecha required human pilots, it seemed redundant.

The idea was good.

The reasoning was also sound.

But they still had to do the work and do it fast, without cutting corners.

What a headache.

Around the Zhuhai Airshow, most people had been busy.

Tang Rui, however, had had nothing to do.

He had also arrived in Zhuhai but didn’t stay in the city. Instead, he had been drifting on a yacht in the sea.

On the yacht, Tang Rui and Prince Salim had sat on the top deck, drinking juice and chatting.

The topic of their conversation hadn’t quite matched the current scene.

Because they had been discussing the security of the Middle East.

After a month of discussion, the decision had finally been made.

They could take the order, but it had to be exclusively offered to Crimson.

Yes.

The situation of the Sudan was different from that of the Middle East.

There, they had used the name of Crimson, but it was actually Han Shu and the others going to war, not security guards.

But this time, with the Middle East order, Tang Rui really needed to recruit people, arm them, and really head to the Middle East.

When Tang Rui received this message, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

Could such an opportunity really arise?

But after Lin Chao had explained it in detail, he had understood.

Military contracting companies were legal in the United States, so why not establish a real company? The other party couldn’t say anything about it.

And this time, it was a genuine commercial act.

If the United States had any objections, they could also be dealt with commercially.

The fundamental factor that had prompted the superiors to make such a decision was still oil, or rather, the pricing and settlement rights of oil.

Oil = USD.

That was the American policy back then and the reason why oil fields were prone to bacterial growth.

In the past twenty years, the international oil-producing regions had been only the United States, Russia, and the Middle East, which had seemed like a three-way split, but in reality, it was the Americans who were dominating. But now it was different.

The rest were also producing oil now.

Logically, the Middle East should have been anxious at this time, even to the point of dealing with them, as this affected their business.

But in reality, they didn’t have that privilege.

The games that big countries played weren’t that simple.

Like the Middle East, who were rich at home but not good in studies, in the class, they could only use their pocket money to buy peace.

But now, there was a problem with the family business, and their pocket money had to be reduced. The reason for all this was that the class monitor’s family had started the same business.

If you were the Middle East, what would you choose?

To join the class leader or the vice class leader to deal with the class monitor?

Stop joking.

The class leader and the vice class leader’s families were also in this business.

The three big bosses were competing for the market and snatching shares.

Who would die in the end?

None of the three big bosses would die.

Those who watched the excitement would.

The Middle East was actually very uncomfortable, but they could only endure it while trying to find a way to survive.

This method was to hold onto big legs.

Currently, there were three big legs.

How would they choose among the three?

By employing the process of elimination.

They definitely couldn’t choose the poorest at home, and the richest one often bullied them.

Wasn’t the result obvious?

“My friend, are you sure you’re not joking?” After hearing Tang Rui’s security plan, Prince Salim was stunned.

You’re not sending troops, they accepted.

You’re not selling the most advanced equipment, they could accept that too.

But selling a mecha model and saying it was for the security of their Middle East, wasn’t that a bit too much?

After hearing this, Tang Rui laughed.

“To justify your 200 billion dollars, I’ve brought out my trump card, and you’re

still saying I’m overdoing it?”
