After Tang Rui finished reviewing the documents in the file bag, he realized that the prototype of the protective shield had significant problems.

Firstly, it consumed a lot of energy, and it wasn’t continuous energy consumption, but instantaneous, which was troublesome.

Secondly, there was a flaw in the magnetic field. Its strength varied, and the deflection angle was different, making it uncontrollable.

Lastly, the magnetic field had a limit. It couldn’t withstand a shell’s impact.

But regardless of these shortcomings, this device’s emergence was like a key to unlock the door to a new era.

At that time, human top technology was used for self-destruction, with more emphasis on attack capabilities.

Compared to offensive technologies, current defensive technologies were significantly lacking.

For example, a main battle tank worth tens of millions couldn’t withstand an anti-tank rocket costing only hundreds of thousands.

It could be said that offense and defense were not proportionate at all.

There was no choice.

The cost-effectiveness of increasing attack power versus defensive power was too great.

But with the protective shield, it was a different story.

“What do they mean by this?” Tang Rui asked.

“The information has been specially unlocked for you. They hope you can conduct in-depth research on it,” Lin Chao immediately replied.

“Okay, I got it,” Tang Rui nodded after listening.

Even if they hadn’t mentioned it, he would have still conducted the research.

“Okay, then you go ahead, I’ll go back,” Lin Chao said after completing his task, then turned and left the lab.

Tang Rui nodded and then looked at the documents on the table.

Magnetic field deflection field.

Simply put, it was about using magnetic repulsion to achieve the goal, similar to the principle of magnetic levitation.

The only difference was in the strength of the magnetic fields.

“Red Lotus, download the relevant information and then make a magnetic shield device,” Tang Rui said thoughtfully to Red Lotus.

“Okay, master, do you need to replace materials and equipment?” Red Lotus asked.

“Replace everything, use our best technology.”

“Okay, master, Red Lotus understands.”

After instructing Red Lotus, Tang Rui had it project the changes in the magnetic field controlled by the wireless power transmission device and the SEG unit.

He hadn’t thought deeply about it before.

Now, seeing the technology of the magnetic shield, he suddenly realized that there was a lot of potential in the magnetic field to be explored.

Not just the magnetic field, but also the strong and weak nuclear forces, could be studied.

After all, these three forces could be unified.

Magnetism could affect both the strong and weak forces.

He hadn’t thought of this before.

Now that he thought about it, he realized he had many related technologies at his disposal.

It was just not known if these technologies could be unified.

After all, they all involved magnetic fields.

Their different functions were just because of the different manifestations of the magnetic fields.

Thinking of this, Tang Rui began to study the changes in the magnetic field and the three devices in depth.

After more than an hour, Red Lotus reported that the magnetic shield device had been completed.

Tang Rui hadn’t gone to the device, but had Red Lotus test it and project its magnetic field manifestation.

The three states of the magnetic field in front of him were wavy, arc-shaped, and vortex-shaped.

These were just the approximate shapes of the magnetic lines simulated by Red Lotus, not the actual state of the magnetic field itself.

Just like a classic photo in a popular science magazine from years ago— electrons orbiting around the atomic nucleus like satellite orbits.

When he was young, he really thought that’s how the atomic nucleus was structured—like electrons orbiting the Earth, revolving around the nucleus.

Only after studying physics did he realize that he had been misled for over a decade.

That was not how electrons work; that was an electron cloud.

To know where an electron was, you had to use a wave function to calculate it.

But that was a digression.

Tang Rui looked at the magnetic field model on the screen, then called up the program code for the three devices, especially the algorithm code for magnetic field control.

For a time, he was immersed in the sea of knowledge.

At lunchtime, Tang Rui, still preoccupied with his thoughts, went to the cafeteria to eat.

He was looking for a breakthrough—how to make the SEG unit perform electromagnetic anti-gravity while receiving external charging.

As for combining the SEG unit with the magnetic shield, he couldn’t think of any way yet—because the two technologies used magnetic fields completely differently.

One needed to spread the magnetic field as wide as possible.

The other needed to compress the magnetic field to enhance its strength.

These were completely opposite approaches.

So he wanted to understand the first two technologies first, then, with the help of wireless power transmission, expand the range of the magnetic shield.

This would allow for the integration of the three functions.

But it was still very difficult.

“President Tang, the Aerospace Command Center is asking if we have any space projects that need to be done. If so, they can do it for us, helping us out,” Gao Yang said quietly when he came to Tang Rui during lunch.

“Space project? When you go to the moon, take a chicken with you. See if it can survive on the moon and for how long.

“Remember to have the Aerospace Command Center record the chicken’s physical data in real-time,” Tang Rui stopped thinking for a moment and then replied.

“Okay, I got it,” Gao Yang nodded, taking Tang Rui’s request seriously.

The Aerospace Command Center was a bit embarrassed to ask for projects.

They owed a lot of favors and didn’t know how to repay them.

They kept borrowing the space shuttle from Crimson for their projects, for free.

Once or twice was okay, but doing this regularly was embarrassing.

They thought about buying a space shuttle, but the price was too high.

A space shuttle cost 7.8 billion.

And that was a discounted price.

But the Command Center really couldn’t afford it.

Not that they didn’t have the money; the money in their account was accounted for, and even a few billion in surplus wasn’t enough.

So they approached Gao Yang, asking if Crimson had any space projects. They could do them, for free, as a way of repaying the favor.

Tang Rui understood, so he casually mentioned a project.

But he wasn’t just talking nonsense.

After studying magnetic fields all day, he found that magnetic fields affected the human body and everything else.

This made him curious.

How long could a chicken survive on the moon without the protection of a magnetic field, and what would its physical condition be like?

It was a valid research topic, certainly not a joke.

After lunch, Tang Rui returned to the lab to continue researching the magnetic field.

This time, he set aside the SEG unit and tried to combine wireless charging with the magnetic shield to see if it would work.

In the blink of an eye, two days passed.

Tang Rui hadn’t achieved anything.

Magnetic fields were more difficult than he imagined, making him a bit irritable and wanting to cheat.

But in one experiment, he created a needle-like magnetic field, similar to a point pulse.

The appearance of this magnetic field gave him an idea..
