“Okay, Master. Red Lotus understands.”

After breakfast, he took the materials printed out by Red Lotus to Lin Chao and asked him to pass them to the higher-ups.

“President Tang, is this true?”

“Absolutely.”

“Okay, I’ll go now.”

In the blink of an eye, a day had passed.

It was calm.

What asteroid hitting the Earth?

There was no such thing.

Tang Rui was not at all surprised by this situation.

The second day passed.

Another calm day.

But… there were many intercontinental passenger planes in China that have started maintenance, for a very simple reason: the recent solar storm was too severe.

They had to check the plane’s navigation system.

If something went wrong, who could bear the responsibility?

On the third night, the Chinese Space Command Center suddenly discovered an asteroid heading toward Earth.

Scary.

The entire Space Command Center was in an uproar, urgently reporting the news and beginning to calculate the asteroid’s orbit.

Based on humanitarian principles, they informed the United States about this.

What?

An asteroid collision?

The United States immediately began to verify the news.

After receiving the order, the third director of NASA immediately adjusted the satellite monitoring network and the ground monitoring network.

The United States had a deep space exploration agency that defended against asteroid collisions. Although they found those that would not hit Earth, they did not find the ones that would.

But one had to admit, this organization acted very quickly after getting accurate data.

In less than half an hour, the United States confirmed that it was indeed an asteroid.

Although it wasn’t very big and wasn’t very heavy, its positioning was very unpredictable.

Because the asteroid kept spewing water vapor.

Due to the imbalance of rotation and internal pressure, it maintained a certain flight trajectory.

But to a certain extent, it retained the ability to change directions at any time.

This caused the ground monitoring personnel to collapse when calculating the asteroid’s orbit and landing point.

There were more than 30 underground places that could be hit.

Not only did it cover their entire territory, even the neighboring area was within the range of impact.

To confirm its true landing point was very difficult.

The asteroid was constantly changing its direction, but it could still fly back to its original orbit.

One thing was highlighted.

A show!

The show made the third director of NASA’s scalp tingle.

Recently, NASA’s director wasn’t in a good position.

The first person took the blame.

The second temporary supervisor was transferred away through connections.

He was the third supervisor.

He thought he would be fine, but who would have thought he would encounter an asteroid with such unpredictable movements?

And quite so simply too.

There was a call every five minutes, asking about the location.

He too was very helpless.

Facing an asteroid that could change direction at any time, the landing point was a pain to calculate.

He could only eliminate them based on probability.

First, he gave a rough range.

After more than five hours of fighting, NASA gave a rough range, which was the entire state of Nevada. The specific landing point was really impossible to predict.

However, the time of impact was easy to calculate.

Current time to impact: 32 hours, 42 minutes, and 51 seconds left.

In the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue, the think tank of the United States gathered for a meeting again.

What should he do?

What a headache.

He raised his hand and touched his hair. It was thinning again.

“Should we inform the people in the State of Nevada to evacuate?”

“Can we all evacuate?”

“If we maintain order, there’d be enough time.”

Maintain order?

Go to hell.

“The other side has requested to evacuate their citizens. The plane has already been sent over. Should we stop them?”

“There’s no need. There’s no need to play tricks on such matters. If they didn’t warn us early, we wouldn’t even know when the asteroid landed on our heads.” “Alright, then what should we do next?”

“Intercept them. We only have one way out. If that asteroid hits us, it’ll be equivalent to a mushroom bomb with a yield of two million tons.”

“Can’t we change its trajectory? For example, use a mushroom bomb to hit it and let it hit someone else?”

“It’s very difficult. The key is that its flight trajectory is changing all the time. Even a mushroom bomb would find it difficult to hit it, let alone deliberately calculate its trajectory to deviate it.”

“That’s right. This kind of deviation is uncontrollable. What if we land in New York? We can still handle it if it’s in Nevada, but New York, Washington, Los Angeles… If it lands in these cities, we won’t be able to bear the losses.” “Actually, the best way is to let the asteroid disintegrate before it reaches the atmosphere. This way, the impact power will be much lower.”

“It’s too far. We can’t do it at all. Moreover,

it’s too fast. We only have one chance to intercept it.”

“What about using a space-based weapon platform?”

“It’s not powerful enough.”

Just as the members of the United States’ think tank gathered for a meeting, the Chinese had already started contacting everyone in Nevada to evacuate to the airport immediately.

The embassy had contacted them directly through customs data.

The students’ reactions were the most normal.

After receiving the notice from the embassy, they packed up their things and took the arranged bus to the airport.

Most of the tourists were obedient, albeit a small number of them who didn’t want to leave.

As for those who came to the United States for business trips, overseas studies, and accompanying their children, the first thing they did was receive a call from the embassy asking them to return home..
