After the meeting with more than 70 people ended, Tang Rui was called to another, smaller conference room to continue the meeting. This time, fewer people attended.

Including Tang Rui, there were a total of twelve people.

Even Professor Yu did not attend the meeting.

Upon entering, he felt something was amiss because, apart from him, the youngest person there was already 60 years old.

“This is the detailed information. Everyone, please take a look first. If there are any problems, we can discuss them later,” said the head of the National Council after distributing the document bags to everyone.

Tang Rui picked up the document bag.

He opened it.

“Directions in the Construction of Outer Space Defense System

“Asteroid Defense System and Deep Space Defense System

“Earth Orbit Security Defense and Orbit Defense Strategy Plan

Tang Rui didn’t even look at the content.

Just seeing the titles of these documents made the corners of his mouth dry.

What was going on?

Why did it feel like they were back in the era of the two poles fighting for hegemony when everyone was frantically digging holes to prepare for war?

After Tang Rui ridiculed the situation in his heart, he began to flip through the contents of the document. The more he looked, the weirder his expression became.

How could he describe it?

The content of the document, “Outer Space Defense System Construction Directions,” was basically like science fiction.

It could completely be treated as an extension of the Southern Heavenly Gate

Plan.

They should find a screenwriter to adapt it.

It could even be made into a movie.

There wasn’t much practical content in it, just some ideas about outer space defense.

The imaginary enemies were the super-large-scale particle explosion of the sun, the derailing of countless asteroids in the asteroid belt, and the deviation of the moon’s orbit.

The contents of the remaining two documents were standard.

Especially the defense of the orbit above the last piece of territory. It was something that had to be done within ten years.

With the advancement of technology, the war machine started from the trinity of land, sea, and air, and began to spread to the space domain. How to do a good job in space defense was already the key issue of territorial defense.

After Tang Rui finished reading the information, he was not very satisfied with the plan in the document.

It wasn’t that the plan wasn’t good.

The main reason was that the plan emphasized defense, so it was a little passive.

However, he was not in a hurry to say it now. When the discussion began later, he would raise this question.

Half an hour later, everyone finished reading the documents in their hands. “Everyone has finished reading,” said the big boss of the National Council. “I wonder if anyone has any opinions or supplements to the higher-ups’ plan. You can speak freely now.”

After the big shot finished speaking, he looked at everyone.

Tang Rui wasn’t prepared to be the first to speak.

Wait a moment.

“I have no objections to the plan, but there is a very big problem with deep space physics research and the development of the outer space industry, and that is materials.

If we don’t solve the problem of materials, these plans will just be empty castles in the air. Not only will it consume resources, but it won’t progress too quickly, let alone meet the requirements of the plan,” said Professor Ouyang, the head of the physics department at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He wasn’t against the plan, but he felt that it was a little whimsical.

His steps were too large.

It was very easy to make a mistake.

“Regarding the problem with the materials, there is already a solution. However, the distribution and process of the materials, as well as the performance parameters, are currently kept top secret.

“If it’s a problem with the materials, don’t discuss it. We’ve already made preparations for this. Even if the materials’ performance can completely meet everyone’s requirements, it’s enough to support these plans. There won’t be any delays,” said the big boss of the National Academy.

When he said this, his gaze even glanced at Tang Rui.

However, there was no change in his expression.

No one knew.

The solution to the material problem was related to Tang Rui.

Even Professor Ouyang didn’t know how high the performance of the materials was.

“The problem with the materials has been solved? Do you have any room-temperature superconducting alloys? Do you have anti-neutron radiation materials?” asked Professor Li, the person in charge of the Eastern Super Ring project, excitedly.

“Both. After the plan starts, there will be a report on the material s performance parameters,” said the big boss of the National Council calmly. “As long as there are no problems with the materials, there will be no problems with my plan. We can guarantee that the energy system of the space station and the Guanghan Palace base will be completed,” said Professor Li excitedly. Actually, it wasn’t just Professor Li. Everyone present, other than Tang Rui and the big shots of the National Academy of Sciences, was very excited.

Materials.

That was the eternal pain in their hearts.

“If the materials are okay, I think the design of the Southern Heavenly Gate Space Base is a bit conservative. 400,000 tons is too small. I think it should be tripled,” said another participant.

Everyone gasped.

This person was truly audacious.

If it was tripled, wouldn’t it reach 1.2 million tons?

It was frightening.

Our current space station is only 120 tons. This number would have to be increased ten thousandfold.

“I will record this question and discuss it when we go back, so everyone can voice your thoughts,” said the big boss of the National Council calmly.

He was only responsible for recording.

The specific decision was not up to him, nor was it up to one person.

They needed to have a meeting to discuss it.

When the big shots in charge of different projects finished speaking, Tang Rui also spoke.

-The orbit defense problem is easy to solve. If you’re in a hurry, you can start setting up the defense system tomorrow. But I think this kind of defense is too passive. We can completely occupy the synchronous orbit and the stationary orbit to create a space defense network. At that time, as long as it flies into the sky, we can only let it fly if we agree. If we don’t agree, we can just shoot it down,” said Tang Rui.

After Tang Rui finished speaking, everyone in the conference room looked at him Originally, they thought that their suggestion was excessive, but after listening to Tang Rui’s speech, they suddenly felt that their words were a bit conservative.

“Okay, I’ve recorded President Tang’s suggestion. Is there anything else you want to add?” asked the big boss of the National Council, still with a calm expression.

No one said anything else.

He had said what he needed to say.

“Alright, let’s end the meeting here. Don’t announce the details of the plan to the public for the time being. President Tang, please stay for a while. I still have something to consult you about,” said the big boss of the National Council after he finished speaking, and the others stood up and left.

After everyone left, the big shot from the National Council asked Tang Rui, “President Tang, do you think these plans will succeed?

“80% of the projects can be completed, but the remaining 20% is a bit too much. It’s not that they can’t be completed, but it’s just that they take too long,” Tang Rui thought for a moment and replied.

Hearing Tang Rui’s answer, the expression of the head of the National Academy finally changed.

“President Tang, to be honest, when we were designing these projects, we only hoped to complete one-tenth or one-twentieth of them,” he said.

“One-tenth? Then what are you doing?” Tang Rui was a bit puzzled.

“It doesn’t matter whether they succeed or not, the resources we invested are real. If other countries don’t keep up, they won’t have a future. If they want to keep up, their cost of transporting every gram of supplies to outer space is dozens of times that of ours. The more they transport, the more losses they will suffer. Now that we have oil, we can use the money we spend on oil imports every year on these plans. So, overall, we didn’t lose out and even stimulated economic development. However, other countries, especially America, are different,” explained the big boss of the National Academy.

This plan was targeted at America.

It was similar to when they used their economic strength to drag down the Soviet Union.

The feeling of crossing the river by feeling the stones was so satisfying.

“Don’t tell me we’re still selling oil?” Tang Rui thought of something and suddenly asked.

“That’S right. It’s estimated that next year, we will start to export oil. We will first lower the oil price by half,” the big shot said straightforwardly, revealing the decision of the higher-ups.

Halving the oil price?

The petrodollar system…

That wasn’t right.

It wasn’t just America. The oil price had been halved, and the neighboring countries would suffer the most.

Their economy was poor, to begin with, and they relied on selling resources to survive.

If the oil price was halved… it would be a dilemma.

A replica of the Star Wars program, coupled with oil exports.

How was this killing three birds with one stone?

He was using a strategy to weaken the class monitor and the vice-class monitor, bleeding them from their main arteries..
