bohai bay, in the waters of the korean peninsula.

for the spaceship at the bottom of the sea, the koreans had really done their

best.

however, digging a tunnel with a diameter of one meter and a depth of 1724 meters was an extremely difficult task.

but no matter how challenging it was, they had to continue digging.

because this morning, after three months of hard work, they finally managed to shave off some alloy shards from the outer shell of the spaceship.

the koreans treasured it immensely.

they immediately took the alloy fragment to the laboratory for testing and analysis. the final result showed that the main component of the alloy of the alien spaceship was tungsten.

wow!

what did this imply?

it suggested that spaceships made by aliens were not indestructible. there wasn’t such an insurmountable barrier between the two civilizations.

the metallic materials used by the aliens were all available on earth.

as long as they deciphered the spaceship technology, they could directly manufacture products using alien technology.

god bless the koreans.

they were truly on the rise.

“i’m so happy…”

“me too.”

“be careful.”

bang!

in his excitement, a korean accidentally fell from a high platform to the one

below.

a fall from 5-2 meters.

although it wasn’t fatal, injury was inevitable.

“quick, save him!”

“kim jae-hyun, are you alright?”

“quickly call the medical team.”

when the medical team arrived and after a check-up confirmed there were no serious issues, it was found he had an open fracture in his leg and needed to be hospitalized.

since the spaceship project was highly confidential, the hospital he was sent to wasn’t just any hospital, but a private hospital owned by the consortium.

“kim jae-hyun, because of the project’s confidentiality, you can’t inform your family or have any contact with the outside world. this isn’t personal, nor is it that we don’t trust you, but we hope you understand.”

“director, i understand. i just want to get out of here as soon as possible and

return to my research post.”

“rest and recuperate. you can go back once you’re better. you’ve been very tired lately, so take this as a quiet vacation.”

“okay, thank you, director.”

after the director left, kim jae-hyun rested comfortably in the hospital ward. he could only watch television and was unable to contact the outside world.

however, every time a nurse came in to change his dressing, he would hum a

song to attract the nurse’s attention.

under such circumstances, the person guarding kim jae-hyun outside the ward didn’t consider it a big deal.

at night, the hospital nurses finished their shifts, and one of them had a bandage on her leg. everyone saw it and only asked out of concern, without giving it much thought.

once the nurse got home, she removed the bandage from her leg, revealing a series of dense numbers on the innermost layer.

that night, tang rui was dining when he suddenly received a call to participate in a confidential video conference.

what was going on?

he went to the blue army command center and connected to the secure

network.

“hello, president tang. sorry to disturb you.”

a high-ranking military official in the video greeted tang rui with a smile.

-it’s no bother, i’ve just finished eating,” tang rui responded, then nodded at

professor liu and professor li in the other video feeds.

“that’s good to hear. this meeting is just to confirm something with president

tang, professor liu, and professor li.

when you three were exploring the geological structure of the bohai bay seabed, did you notice any issues under the seabed, especially in the korean territorial waters?” the military official asked.

“there was no issue. when we were exploring, we only discovered an oil field under the korean seabed.

i remember the entire geological structure data map of the bohai bay seabed has been uploaded to the database. hasn’t the military seen it?” professor liu replied, sounding somewhat displeased.

understandably, as a top expert in his field, he was upset at the implication

that there might be something wrong with their data.

“professor liu, please don’t be upset. i’m not questioning the report, i just wanted to ask if there were any anomalies in that geological data.”

“there were none. all the geological structure data matched the model of the

bohai bay continental plate without any issues.”

professor li also confirmed there were no problems.

the military official nodded. “thank you, professors. i understand the

situation. sorry for the trouble.”

the video feed of the two professors was then disconnected.

tang rui, who had been quietly drinking water, had remained silent because he felt it unnecessary to speak.

he knew the situation at the bottom of bohai bay better than anyone.

“president tang, there’s a situation you should be aware of. this is the news

that the special department received from korea.”

after reading the news from the special department about korea, tang rui was visibly upset.

the bohai bay area of korea had discovered a spaceship at the bottom of the

sea.

tang rui was speechless.

what was going on here?

“president tang, you designed the geological exploration equipment. what do you think about the credibility of this information?”

“how to gauge its credibility… from our perspective, the credibility of this information is zero. from the special department’s perspective, there’s no issue with the news they sent back.”

tang rui replied with a complex expression.

“this… what does that mean?”

the military leader was puzzled.

“this is just a model of the spaceship.”

tang rui gestured, and a holographic projection of the underwater spaceship model appeared.

“is it really a spaceship?”

“no, as i said, it’s just a model. it’s there to fool the koreans.

“what’s the real situation?”

“the truth is… when i was bored during my bohai bay project, i noticed the koreans were drilling, hoping to exploit an oil field. so, i placed a piece of tungsten alloy steel plate underground to block their drilling hole. unexpectedly… they mistook the steel plates for the hull of a spaceship. then they kept drilling, and i kept placing more steel plates. eventually, the data the koreans got probably looked like this.”

the military leader listened with a complex expression, speechless for a long time.

“president tang, please hold on, i need to step out for a moment.

“alright.”

ten minutes later…

“president tang, can you plant a real spaceship model underground?” the military leader asked excitedly upon returning.

“what do you mean?”

“it’s about replacing the steel plate with a real physical model of a spaceship. it doesn’t need to have any internal equipment, just be sturdy.”

“that’s possible, but is it really necessary?”

“it’s very necessary. uncovering a steel plate and finding actual spaceship wreckage are two entirely different things. the former is just frustrating and won’t cause much loss, but the latter could trap them there forever.”

“in that case, wouldn’t it be better if i just welded the spaceship model to the seabed?” tang rui suggested sarcastically.

“if you can, please make it as sturdy as possible.

the military leader nodded earnestly.

this…

tang rui fell silent.

tactics were indeed dirty.

this was about trapping the koreans at the bottom of the sea.

“alright, i’ll handle it after i finish my current research. when i visit bohai bay to check on the project progress, i’ll take care of this too.” tang rui reluctantly agreed.

“thank you, president tang. next time something like this comes up, please inform us in advance.”

“understood.” tang rui nodded.

he was just bored and wanted to play a trick on the koreans, but it turned into a matter of national strategy.

after ending the video call, tang rui asked red lotus to record this matter and research a super wear-resistant alloy nano-coating to ensure the spaceship model’s hull could not be cut.

for the next half-month, tang rui stayed indoors, immersed in research.

he tried various methods to ensure information wouldn’t be lost during transmission through a wormhole, but had yet to find a solution.

the only progress made was in quantum information coding technology, developed through his study of communication satellite programs. however, he was still far from achieving real information transmission.

but tang rui was not worried.

he had developed a strong interest in scientific research, especially in the field of pure physics, which he had not explored before.

now he found it fascinating.

each experimental data set, if studied closely, revealed something new.

the thrill of exploring the unknown was truly captivating.

however, while he was absorbed in his research, the world outside was not still. several countries were pushing forward in the aerospace field.

the five great powers and india were already involved, never missing a chance to join in.

japan and germany also wanted to join.

it was inevitable.

the aerospace field was a ticket to the future’s sea of stars.

without a ticket, there really was no future.

while all countries were focusing on aerospace, korea, in an uncharacteristic move, began to invest in drilling technology.

while others aimed for the skies, korea chose to dig into the earth.

after testing the tungsten alloy’s parameters, korea seemed to go crazy, once again increasing its investment in digging efforts.

it was just money, after all.

they halted investments in other fields, channeling all remaining funds into digging.

what about the space race?

korea was not participating.

once they unearthed the spaceship and obtained its technology, they could surpass all other nations within minutes.

it was that simple.

while countries worldwide were keen to boost their aerospace investments, the koreans, deviating from this trend, focused on drilling technology.

regarding aerospace tech, the koreans were open to selling their existing capabilities.

hearing this, everyone was astonished. it seemed unimaginable for such words to come from a korean representative.

they were sipping what seemed like counterfeit wine.

yet, they remained unconscious.

others aimed for the skies, but the koreans were intent on burrowing into the earth.

such was the unique korean approach.

their perspective was indeed unconventional.

brother san was thrilled with this revelation and quickly expressed interest in purchasing their aerospace technology.

one party was short of funds, the other, of technology.

they found common ground immediately.

he retreated to a secluded spot for the transaction.

his calculations were meticulous.

only eight countries globally had the credentials to engage in aerospace endeavors.

as for the rest?

they were irrelevant in this space race, having been sidelined already..”
