After they landed, they quickly locked onto the enemy using a map of the battlefield and the aid of their scanning system, and began their attack.

Whoosh whoosh…

Even faster than their own assaults were the laser weapons on the orbital airborne module. As soon as they emerged from the module, they commenced their attack.

Laser beams shot forth.

All those struck by the beams died instantly.

The special forces rapidly advanced towards the enemy, firing as they charged.

The tribal armed forces fell like wheat to the ground.

What shelter?

In the face of the electromagnetic rifle, it was mere decoration.

Seventeen seconds later…

The gunfire ceased, and the battle was over.

All 213 enemies were eliminated. None who tried to flee survived. They were completely wiped out.

Gulp!

The soldiers guarding the medical team were stunned by the scene.

It had happened too quickly.

Their allies had descended from the sky.

In less than a minute, every enemy lay dead.

What kind of combat power was this?

It was somewhat terrifying.

Fortunately, these were their comrades.

If they were enemies, they wouldn’t stand a chance either.

This wasn’t just a disparity in individual skill; it was a total eclipse in equipment. They were not from the same era.

“Report, the special forces team has completed their mission. The enemy has been annihilated. We have no casualties,” someone announced.

“Alright, protect the medical team and wait for reinforcements,” came the reply.

“Understood.”

Tang Rui and Han Shu had observed the special forces’ operation from start to finish.

Full marks for their overall performance.

“Brother Han, what do you think of this orbital airborne troop? Does it meet your requirements?” Tang Rui turned to Han Shu.

“It’s exceeded them. This is even better than what I imagined,” Han Shu replied, extremely satisfied.

“As long as you’re satisfied,” Tang Rui smiled.

“By the way, can the other special forces teams be equipped with this gear?”

“Sure, as long as the funding is in place, the equipment will be too.”

“Funding? Is there not enough money? What about the remaining funds in the account and the money the Sudan used for weapons?”

Han Shu’s expression quickly shifted from excitement to dismay.

“I’ve used it all. Not only is there no money left, but you also owe me 1.46 billion. Remember to transfer it,” Tang Rui said with a shrug.

“All of that, more than 20 billion, gone?”

“Let me break it down for you. The orbital airborne module was your military’s request, right? So I developed it for you. You have to cover the development costs.”

Although Tang Rui was not short of money, that was a separate matter.

The military needed custom equipment, and he couldn’t be expected to fund their research. That was not how it worked.

The technical sophistication of the large-scale orbital airborne module was extraordinary. The value of the magnetic field control system alone far exceeded the entire module’s cost.

So, he charged 8.8 billion, which was reasonable.

“What about the rest?” Han Shu asked, distressed about the expense but acknowledging the necessity.

“8.8 billion for R&D, 14.2 billion for producing the large-scale orbital airborne capsules, including various upgraded systems and equipment. The most expensive were the reactor, the SEG unit, and the electromagnetic deflecting shield.

“Laser weapons, life-support systems, and emergency rescue pods didn’t cost much, so I threw them in for free.

“Then there are the 12 sets of tactical mobile armors, each worth 85 million. The customized large-scale electromagnetic rifles and other weapons for the armor totaled 1.08 billion.

“This is your discounted rate. I didn’t overcharge you, right?” Tang Rui said with a smile.

“It’s a lot, but fair,” Han Shu admitted, understanding the costs involved.

More than an hour later…

The reinforcements finally arrived, their fastest possible response, hindered only by the distance.

The special forces team reentered the orbital airborne module upon the reinforcements’ arrival.

Ten minutes later…

The orbital airborne module landed at Crimson’s training ground.

The special forces team disembarked.

The module was towed into the hangar.

Although no formidable enemies were encountered in this battle, the orbital airborne troops’ combat effectiveness was evident.

Especially their rapid response.

It could terrify many.

The entire rescue operation had not been hidden from the world.

Several nations, including the USA, had observed the special forces’ airborne rescue through satellites, recording all the data.

It wasn’t a concern that they were watching.

Orbital airborne landings were normally unnecessary.

Yet, it was precisely because of its rarity that it served as a Sword of

Damocles; it’s use signified serious implications.

As for its effectiveness…

Exceptional.

The American think tank reconvened for a meeting.

However, this time, they gathered not in the usual meeting room but in an underground bunker.

They had no choice.

The orbital drop had been too intimidating.

With the current American defenses, stopping such an assault was impossible. The special forces’ equipment made what used to be challenging decapitation operations seem trivial.

This left them feeling vulnerable, even on their own turf.

“Tell me, what should we do now?”

The think tank remained silent.

Everything that needed to be said had been said. What more was there to add?

“How long will it take for the spaceships on the Korean side to reach us?”

The boss shifted the focus of the question..
