five days later, russia’s order was finally completed.

tang rui watched as the car-carrying platforms were driven away, and he didn’t feel the least bit sorry for them.

because in exchange for these items, they were getting a sukhoi su-47 golden eagle.

“lin ge, when can our pilot bring the su-47 back?”

tang rui turned to ask lin chao.

this transaction was a direct exchange of goods.

the car-carrying platforms were transported by rail directly to russia’s place.

however, the su-47 golden eagle, being a combat aircraft, couldn’t simply fly over.

more accurately, russia’s pilots couldn’t fly the su-47 directly to their location for delivery.

so, two pilots were dispatched to russia’s place for modification and training.

it had been almost half a month since then.

in theory, the modification should be almost done by now.

after all, the su-47 wasn’t an exceptionally difficult fighter to operate.

as long as you didn’t do supersonic flights recklessly, its maneuverability and responsiveness should be better than most combat aircraft under normal circumstances.

“i’ll make a call to inquire for you, but it should be almost ready. our shipments have already started, and the air force isn’t foolish; they’ll return as soon as possible.”

clearly, lin chao didn’t have much trust in russia either, but there was no other choice.

russia’s reputation had already been bankrupted.

“boss, the outsourcing company has completed the atiddle east’s order and wants to know when we’ll pick it up.”

“yeah, and the middle east has an additional order for 20 car-carrying platforms and 40 sets of drones.”

tang rui listened and shook his head.

just as they finished russia’s order, the middle east’s order arrived.

the next few days were going to be busy again.

“tell them to send it over now. the space is available.”

“i’ll inform them right away.”

“good, go ahead.”

after saying that, tang rui returned to his office and signed off on the backlog of approval reports.

these were procurement reports and financial transfer requests that required his signature.

he didn’t need to examine them closely.

as long as it had to do with money, celia would conduct a thorough investigation.

any issues found would be reported to him immediately.

and if nothing was reported to him, it meant that the funds transfer was fine.

though he delegated authority, he wasn’t naive.

if he didn’t pay attention, what would happen when the company’s accountants used his hard-earned money to tip female streamers?

after signing, he rested in his office for a while.

when the outsourced products were delivered, he returned to the workshop to start assembling the car-carrying platforms.

after so much time spent assembling, he had become very proficient, almost to the point of feeling nauseated.

after completing this batch of car-carrying platforms, he didn’t plan to take on new orders for a while.

two days later, tang rui arrived at ma’an airport.

today, he was very happy because the su-47 he had been longing for was finally returning to the country.

“calling the control tower, where is the su-47 target?”

tang rui asked the control tower directly.

“mr. tang, please don’t be impatient. the su-47 is currently refueling at an airbase in the outer baikal military district,” the control tower replied helplessly.

“alright, 1 understand.”

tang rui smirked.

bringing a fighter jet back to the country wasn’t easy. first, russia’s pilot had to fly the golden eagle to the outer baikal military district for the handover and refueling. then, their own pilot would fly it back to the country. as for some of the maintenance and spare parts for the golden eagle, they would be transported by rail and delivered in about half a month. it was quite a hassle.

tang rui glanced at the time on his wristband, had a sudden idea, and rushed to the hangar.

“calling fish pond.”

“mr. tang, what’s going on now? you have another request?”

“let’s be professional. i’m currently calling as fish pond, and i want to fly a drone.”

the control tower, feeling quite exhausted, was silent.

ten minutes later, with the help of ground crew, the drone took off and headed straight for the border.

tang rui was going to meet the aircraft. although he couldn’t go personally, controlling a drone to get there was not a problem.

“control tower calling fish pond, the golden eagle is now in the vicinity of the border.”

“fish pond received.”

tang rui pushed the throttle, accelerating the drone.

he hadn’t been in a hurry before, flying leisurely in the sky.

now that the golden eagle had taken off and was about to enter the country, he naturally wanted to control the drone to get there faster.

twelve minutes later, the drone was hovering near the border, its flight path rather erratic.

it seemed to be swaying and twisting as if it could fall at any moment.

at this point, the drone was equipped with a camera and could be detected by radar.

tang rui, using radar scans, noticed that there were two su-27m fighter jets escorting the golden eagle.

this piqued tang rui’s curiosity.

his drone control skills went from being a pro to a complete newbie in an instant.

the personnel at the domestic radar station were also dumbfounded.

why were you flying so smoothly when you were supersonic just now? why can’t you fly properly now?

“control tower calling fish pond, is there a malfunction?”

“fish pond received, no malfunctions here. i’m just fooling around.”

“understood,” said the control tower.

soon, a black fighter jet with a white nose appeared in the sky near the border.

the two escorting su-27m fighters turned around at the border.

“fish pond calling golden eagle, do you copy?”

“golden eagle received, go ahead.”

“no worries, i just wanted to ask how it feels to pilot the golden eagle.”

“it feels great, incredibly maneuverable even at subsonic speeds.”

“come on, let’s try it out. let’s have an exercise. 1 win if 1 lock onto you with the fire control radar within 3 seconds.”

“sorry, but my mission is to bring the fighter jet back intact.”

while the golden eagle pilot was tempted, the mission was the top priority. the research value of this golden eagle was too high to play around with.

“control tower, did you hear that? i’m requesting an exercise airspace to test the golden eagle’s performance.”

the control tower went silent, also feeling helpless.

a few minutes later…

“the exercise airspace has been designated, and the details have been sent to your tactical tablet. please review it yourself.”

“fish pond received.”

“golden eagle received.”

tang rui looked at the exercise airspace outlined on his tactical tablet and pulled the control stick to head there.

the golden eagle did the same.

and when it adjusted its direction, it was incredibly agile.

while the drone had to draw arcs in the sky to change direction, the su-47 could make zero-radius turns, which were incredibly agile and unbelievable..
