as the drone accelerated, its velocity exceeded mach 4 and was still increasing, but the rate of this speed increase was not as fast as before.

at this moment, in front of tang rui, a system reminder appeared.

he could activate the overdrive mode.

seeing this prompt, he didn’t hesitate and clicked to activate it directly.

the next second, the drone’s body structure changed.

the entire front end moved upward, blocking the two air intakes on top.

at the same time, below the front end of the drone, where the shockwave body was located, two air intakes appeared.

subsonic air directly entered the engine’s bypass ducts through these intakes, igniting without passing through the compressor turbine blades for compression.

at this moment, the drone’s speed continued to soar.

mach 4.5.

mach 5.

mach 5.5.

it only stopped accelerating at mach 6.2.

it wasn’t because the speed had reached its limit, but because the japanese peninsula was too small, and he couldn’t continue flying.

if he continued to accelerate forward, he would end up in american territory.

so tang rui actively decelerated, letting the drone return to subsonic cruising mode.

at this point, the drone had already reached the southeastern waters near tang rui’s home.

as for the fighter jets trying to intercept him, they were still hovering in the open sea around the yellow sea.

tang rui lowered the drone’s altitude, then activated the optical stealth mode.

in subsonic cruising mode, the engine’s exhaust nozzle did not emit a visible flame. even the heat was quickly dispersed by the passing air.

as a result, thanks to optical invisibility, the camera couldn’t capture it.

with its radar invisibility, radar couldn’t detect it.

with its thermal signature dissipation, infrared couldn’t detect it.

the combination of these three stealth features made the drone disappear from the sky.

tang rui flew the drone at an altitude of 2,000 meters.

all of the drone’s reconnaissance equipment was fully activated at this moment.

terrain and topography, river courses, and animals and plants in the mountains and fields; at this moment, everything was displayed clearly in tang rui’s eyes via his smart glasses.

as long as he wished, what he saw would continue to zoom in.

the clarity was even better than a professional camera with hundreds of thousands of lenses.

“celia, upload the scanning data to huawei cloud, open a separate storage space, and don’t get detected.”

tang rui ordered celia while looking at the constantly updating data in front of him.

“alright, uploading the data now.”

the drone flew all the way.

various data from below continuously collected and uploaded to cloud storage.

an enhanced drone indeed; its scanning system could not only scan the ground but also penetrate it to scan underground pipelines and mineral deposits.

although the scanning depth could only reach 200 meters underground, it was still quite precise within that range.

but even so, japanese underground structures were nearly completely exposed to him.

“tower calling fish pond.”

“fish pond here, go ahead.”

“please report your current position.”

tang rui heard the tower’s inquiry and looked down at zhigong park and the nearby radio tower.

“reporting to the tower, the current location is in the southwestern part of the yellow sea.”

“tower acknowledges, please report the exact coordinates.”

tang rui quickly opened the map, randomly selected a point in the southwestern part of the yellow sea, and checked the coordinates there.

“fish pond here, current coordinates are…”

“tower acknowledges, when do you plan to return?”

“estimated 2 more hours, currently conducting drone performance testing.”

“tower acknowledges, wish you a smooth mission.”

“fish pond here, thank you.”

after saying that, tang rui didn’t take it seriously. instead, he focused on observing the situation below.

he truly didn’t expect that the little day competitor had dug so much underground space beneath their own capital.

the deepest part could reach 500 meters underground.

the drone followed the underground paths, scanning along the way.

the scanned underground areas increased steadily.

a maze.

not just one layer of underground space; there were up to 23 layers in some places.

tang rui smirked.

he controlled the drone to circle over the city in the sky.

all reconnaissance systems were at maximum capacity.

“celia, generate a 3d model based on the scanning data.”

“alright, 3d modeling in progress.”

in the vast network, there were always enormous data flows in exchange.

and it was then that celia distributed the entire 3d modeling data in small packages across the network.

unused computing power that consumed electricity but was idle was now mobilized to perform 3d modeling.

for the entire computing network, this data exchange didn’t attract any attention.

and all aspects of the data were similar to usual.

unless you analyzed them one by one, you couldn’t spot the differences. but such detailed analysis was impossible. even if you combined all the supercomputers globally, it wouldn’t be possible, save for quantum supercomputers, which were another level of sophistication.

tang rui was also amazed as he watched the city’s 3d model become more detailed and refined.

this was an exceptionally detailed model.

sidewalk markings on the ground, street corner store advertisements, underground cable lines, and sewer pipes buried below.

at this moment, they all appeared in the three-dimensional city model before tang rui’s eyes.

tang rui couldn’t help but wonder: if he took this city model data and found a group of demolition experts, they could easily plan targeted demolitions at various critical points in the city.

place explosives in designated locations, and a push of the button… and…

boom!

a spectacular city-level demolition would unfold.

the more he thought about it, the more excited he became.

but he could only think about it because he couldn’t release this data, nor could he find demolition experts.

however, the scanning data from the drone, once his larger drone was ready for deployment, he could use it to obtain valuable rewards.

he circled for more than two hours.

he had collected almost all the necessary data.

however, the 3d city model was not yet complete, as the data volume increased as it progressed.

but he wasn’t in a hurry.

after all, the scanning data had already been uploaded to cloud storage and could be retrieved for analysis at any time.

he pulled the control stick and the drone adjusted its heading and began to return.

it was late at night and he needed to get some sleep.

the areas he hadn’t scanned today could be scanned tomorrow; there was no rush.

with japanese radar capabilities, they wouldn’t be able to detect his drone.

not only the japanese, but even if its daddy, the united states were involved, it still wouldn’t work.

“calling the tower.”

“tower here, go ahead.”

“fish pond requests to return.”

“permission granted for return.”

hearing tang rui’s request to return, the tower was relieved.

finally, he was coming back.

who knew what he was doing in the yellow sea for over two hours.

what could be so interesting in the nighttime ocean?

was he looking for mermaids or something?

crossing the sea…

entering the boundary of the yellow sea…

tang rui once again activated the longbo lens.

in an instant, the ground radar once again detected the drone’s signal.

this made both countries go into a frenzy again.

they had searched for over two hours and found nothing.

now the drone was boldly reappearing.

moreover, its flight path was no different from before.

it was definitely a mockery.

an absolute mockery.

both countries’ ground radar stations and air command centers resounded with exclamations and curses.

but none of this affected tang rui’s return.

the drone, still cruising at mach 2.1, quickly entered inland.

however, about 500 kilometers from jinling, tang rui once again activated the longbo lens.

why activate it again?

because there were idiots watching from above, and he didn’t want these idiots to know his location..
