[item: vehicle-mounted cruise missile comprehensive platform]

[experience: 0/2500]

[origin points: 81.28]

tang rui looked at the system panel in front of him, and he was genuinely surprised.

in theory, he had only installed some equipment on the vehicle platform and made some changes to the vehicle’s appearance, so there shouldn’t be a system panel.

but it appeared anyway.

moreover, the system panel’s evaluation had determined the value of this vehicle-mounted cruise missile comprehensive platform to be 20 origin points.

this profit was higher than the value of any equipment he had manufactured before.

“this is really a surprise.”

tang rui had originally just wanted to make some money.

he never expected to earn origin points as well.

another win-win situation.

tang rui looked at the system panel, pondered for a while, and decided to change the sales plan.

according to what brother liu had said, the entire system should be sold as a whole, and the drones should not be sold separately.

but with the system panel now available, he could change his approach. he could offer new vehicle platforms in exchange for the used ones.

a brand-new vehicle platform cost 2.2 million dollars per set.

if he used the used vehicle platforms for exchange, he could reduce the price and sell them for only 1.2 million dollars.

it might seem like he was losing 1 million dollars by exchanging used platforms for new ones, but it couldn’t be calculated that simply.

the upgraded vehicle platforms would become second-generation and third-generation products, and the price of military products varied dramatically between generations.

sometimes, even if you had the money, you couldn’t buy the latest generation.

tuesday.

tang rui and lin chao arrived at the internal exhibition hall.

half an hour ago, the comprehensive vehicle-mounted firefighting drone platform from deepred had passed the internal review.

at that time, the members of the review committee were baffled when they saw the red paint on the vehicle platform.

it wasn’t just the review committee; the entire exhibition hall was now dominated by deepred corp.

there was no other way.

other weapons and equipment were all in camouflage and green paint.

china electronics technology group (cetc) was a bit craftier, as they had chosen desert camouflage.

but these paint schemes didn’t catch the eye like what tang rui had done.

his design resembled equipment that the future firefighting department would use.

the curves, the design, and even the led ambient lights.

“tang, are you sure this will sell?” lin chao asked while looking at the three vehicle platforms.

he had some reservations about it.

“don’t worry; we’ll be fine. we rely on performance,” tang rui reassured him.

the paint scheme was entirely his playful preference.

if the customer, the middle easterners, didn’t like it, they could figure out how to change it themselves.

after all, this was the original factory finish.

it happened a while later.

wang yuan and liu yao also came to his booth.

“brother liu, what do you think of what i’ve done?”

“hmm, it’s eye-catching, not bad,” liu yao replied affirmatively.

“as long as you’re happy, have you finished setting up? let’s go eat after this,” wang yuan said, a bit exasperated but didn’t say much more.

“everything’s set; let’s go.”

tang rui brought lin chao and went to have dinner together.

but they didn’t drink that night.

both wang yuan and liu yao had obligations the next day, so they couldn’t afford to drink.

they had a simple meal.

the next day.

tang rui put on a suit and, after having breakfast at the hotel, headed to the exhibition venue.

when he arrived, people from other companies were already present.

many people gathered in front of the deepred booth, admiring the eye-catching vehicle platforms.

that’s exactly what he wanted.

as soon as anyone entered the venue, they could see his vehicle platforms.

“isn’t this a cruise missile? why does it say ‘firefighting drone’ on it?”

“who cares what it’s called? look at these specifications; they’re even better than american spring knives.”

“deepred corp? have you heard of this company?”

“never heard of it, when was it established?”

tang rui approached, eavesdropping on their conversation and finding it amusing.

it was still early before the exhibition started.

he didn’t need to stay at his own booth, so he began to wander around.

in fact, he had wanted to do this yesterday, but everyone was too busy, so he didn’t want to bother anyone.

now that everyone had free time, he could move around without any issues.

“hey, guys, are these specifications for real?” tang rui asked, standing in front of the anti-missile system booth, increasingly suspicious as he looked at the parameters.

how much performance had been cut from this?

“first time at the exhibition?” the person there smiled and asked tang rui.

“yes,” tang rui nodded.

“first-timer. well, if you come a few more times, you’ll realize that most of us are just here to fill the numbers.”

“is there any explanation for that?”

“of course, there is, but we can’t say it explicitly. have you thought about why the middle easterners use the patriot system?”

“patriot? isn’t that common knowledge?”

“exactly, since the middle easterners have the patriot, why do they still get bombed every day?”

“why?”

“think about it. is it because the patriot system is inadequate?”

“that’s a joke.”

“it’s not a system problem. the takeaway version is a cut-down version, so the interception performance is poor.”

“that could be the case.”

“but it’s probably not that simple.”

tang rui suddenly remembered something brother liu had said yesterday.

“the issue isn’t with the houthi rebels. the problem lies with their backers.”

“we could sell high-precision interception systems, but even if we do, the middle easterners wouldn’t dare to buy them. if they replaced all their missile defense systems with ours, they’d have sleepless nights.”

“that’s why you guys are here?”

“we’re here to let the middle easterners know that we’ve specifically researched the volcano-3 ballistic missile and created a targeted anti-missile system for it. but if they don’t buy it, it’s a waste of our enthusiasm.”

“impressive.”

tang rui gave a thumbs-up.

these people weren’t here to sell weapons; they were here to gain goodwill.

leaving the anti-missile system booth, he went to the china electronics technology group (cetc) booth.

as the organizer, their booth was the largest, and they had the most exhibits.

tang rui immediately spotted the s-band radar, the same one they had sold to the middle easterners recently.

according to what wang yuan had said, this time cetc was mainly selling radar systems for defense drones.

recently, the middle easterners had been concerned about being attacked by low-altitude, low-speed drones.

the patriot system couldn’t intercept them because doppler radar had a natural disadvantage in identifying low-speed targets.

after wandering around cetc’s area for a while, tang rui spotted something that interested him.

a field command vehicle.

it was a modified 8×8 off-road camper that served as a small command center inside.

the sides of the camper could be extended.

when he saw this, he was captivated.

when he had come to beijing, the off-road vehicle almost made him nauseous.

if he had a camper like this, he could comfortably sleep during long journeys.

if he bought one, modified it, added some equipment, it could serve as a mobile base.

the idea took him by storm.

how could a man not like something like this?

after circling around it a few times, tang rui made up his mind; he had to get one.

“they’re here, they’re here.”

“hurry back and get ready.”

at this moment, there was commotion in the exhibition hall.

tang rui heard the news and quickly returned to his booth.

the middle easterners had arrived..
