“old feng, could you go over and inquire about their project timeline and quotation? also, check the materials they are using while you’re at it.”

after tang rui made his selection, he asked feng yuanxing to go and gather information, and he wanted to assess the situation as well.

when it came to tasks like these, giving them to old feng presented no problems at all.

he was the most reliable person in the entire company.

moreover, he was excellent at paying attention to details and could often find potential issues in unexpected places.

that’s why tang rui entrusted this matter to him.

after all, it was being sold to the middle east, and they couldn’t afford any loopholes that might become a subject of ridicule.

“sure, mr. tang, i’ll head over there right away,” feng yuanxing replied as he accepted the task.

after delegating the field command vehicle matter to old feng, tang rui made a phone call to zhang shixiong.

for outsourcing the reconnaissance drones, zhang shixiong was the go-to person.

the situation there was that they were manufacturing skynet drones, and it wasn’t a simple task at all.

once the arrangements were made, tang rui didn’t continue assembling the vehicle-mounted platform in the workshop. instead, he returned to his own lab to work on the vr (virtual reality) device.

he had purchased two vr headsets.

next, he intended to disassemble and upgrade these two devices.

why was he doing this?

mainly because tomorrow was li shuyao’s birthday, and he wanted to use vr headsets.

the vr headsets available on the market didn’t meet his requirements.

an hour later, both vr headsets were completely disassembled and reassembled by tang rui.

he immediately selected the “enhance” option.

swish!

a faint light flashed.

the device upgrade was complete.

the vr headsets, which initially appeared somewhat bulky, now became sleek and lightweight. furthermore, the lenses had enlarged, enveloping the entire field of vision.

[item: immersive vr headset]

[experience: 0/700]

[enhancements: screen, chip, shell]

[origin points: 1079.28]

after reviewing the data on the system panel, tang rui put on the vr headset.

“celia, play images of the stars captured by the hubble space telescope.”

“okay.”

“also, play some background music.”

“sure.”

as the darkness before him disappeared, a dazzling cosmic starry sky appeared in his vision.

vibrant galaxies.

beautiful and mysterious pillars of creation.

one by one, the images captured by the hubble space telescope appeared before him after being processed.

in this moment, his eyes were filled with the entire milky way.

a few minutes later, tang rui took off the vr headset and sat there in a daze.

the vr device was fine, but there seemed to be an issue with the images captured by the hubble telescope. even after image rendering, they still felt somewhat unnatural, like a dropped frame, giving it an awkward feeling.

after some thought, tang rui decided to capture his own images.

however, regular space telescopes produced images far inferior to those from the hubble, and rendering the hubble images would be better. but if he built one himself, there wouldn’t be a suitable place to store it. these things were too large and impractical for his purposes.

after a while, tang rui picked up his laptop and called out to gao yang, who was in the adjacent rest area.

“brother yang, let’s go to ma’an airport.”

“on my way.”

gao yang received the message and immediately put away his phone, then rushed out.

once in the car, gao yang accelerated, and their off-road vehicle left the company premises.

they arrived at ma’an airport, and tang rui went directly to the hangar.

currently, there was still one drone in the hangar, the one enhanced through the system panel.

the other one had already been sent to the military for further flight and stress tests, especially extreme tests. these were things tang rui couldn’t handle himself, or rather, he didn’t want to deal with them, as they were too troublesome.

so, he handed that drone over to the military for testing.

approaching the drone, tang rui checked the system panel and selected “enhance.”

[select enhancement direction]

[photon quantum information capture system – ultra-long-range reconnaissance]

[neutrino information sensing radar – precise scanning]

[directional crystal-like atomic structural body – cross-orbit flight]

[hyper-combustion shockwave liquid oxygen hybrid engine – super-high-speed flight]

these were the four enhancement options for the drone, requiring 200 source points each for enhancement. tang rui now had enough source points, but he couldn’t enhance them all at once.

today, tang rui came to enhance the photon quantum information capture system. in this situation, as long as he didn’t dismantle the drone, no one would notice.

as for disassembling the drone, apart from him, no one else could even get close to this hangar. the loyalty drone project was no joke; the j-20 coupled with several drones was the ceiling of current aerial combat.

he clicked on the upgrade.

swish!

a dark golden light flashed, and the enhancement was completed.

there was no change in the appearance of the drone, just as if it hadn’t been enhanced at all. as for the internals, tang rui had no intention of opening it up right now.

he opened the hangar doors and informed the ground crew to refuel the drone.

now he wanted to fly the drone, and he could do so anytime; nobody would stop him.

fifteen minutes later, the refueling was complete, and the drone was towed onto the runway.

“fishpond calling the control tower.”

“control tower, receiving. go ahead.”

“fishpond requesting takeoff.”

“permission granted for takeoff. the current ground wind speed is 35, coming from the southwest. be cautious of crosswinds.”

“fishpond copies, will be cautious of crosswinds.”

tang rui pushed the throttle lever forward.

the drone quickly started up and taxied down the runway.

after a hundred meters, he pulled the control stick, executing a dry takeoff.

the drone shot straight into the sky.

“calling the control tower.”

“control tower, receiving. go ahead.”

“fishpond requests retracting the dragon lens.”

“please explain the situation.”

“i’ll be conducting a high-altitude test shortly, and i’d rather not expose any information.”

“permission granted to retract the dragon lens.”

tang rui retracted the dragon lens and then pushed the throttle.

the drone soared to an altitude of 50,000 meters.

at this altitude, the city below appeared incredibly tiny.

the drone leveled out and began to circle its surroundings.

tang rui activated the photon quantum information capture system.

he wanted to see just how powerful this cutting-edge technology was.

the next moment, his vision changed, and the resolution of the intelligent eyeglass screen was instantly maxed out.

the laptop’s image processing chip and graphics card utilization shot up to 95%.

fortunately, celia began to package the data and sent it to the big data network for cloud computing, or else this enhanced computer would have been overwhelmed by the information.

tang rui shook his head left and right and glanced around.

nothing seemed to have changed.

except that it was a bit clearer, what else?

but the next moment, as his pupils adjusted, the image in front of him began to continuously zoom in.

to what extent did it zoom in?

at an altitude of 50,000 meters, he could see the jagged edges of gravel on the ground.

and it was very clear.

it was like looking at gravel under sunlight with a magnifying glass..
